I liked the premise of the story- Hailey’s forced to find a way to stay in college after her parents split up and ends up falling for her new boss, Neill. I loved the fact that the author gave Hailey a love of art and that it wasn’t just another girl off the street working at a tattoo shop that knows nothing about the art world. These two have both been broken in different ways and close themselves off to each other in certain ways. Sometimes it felt a bit childish TBH. It was little things like that and also the fact that we didn’t get to see a ton of their private time and by that I mean they develop feelings for each other based on conversations, etc. that the reader doesn’t get to see. I liked the little sub plot that was happening and even though this one wasn’t a home run, I did enjoy it enough to check out what else the author has to offer..
