I work in healthcare, so this book contained many familiar strategies that I already use and teach to others. However, I appreciated the different types of skills and how they relate to menopause specifically. I plan to try some of the less familiar practices and incorporate them into my own teachings. This book was quite different than other books about menopause as it was less about the physiology and more of a practical guide to "what you can do" to improve symptoms. I can see myself re-reading this book and using it as a workbook.

This short book provides a great supportive hand to lead the reader through the many challenges of menopause. I have read many books on the subject and enjoyed Noraa Casi’s perspective, particularly focusing on the emotional, spiritual and mental well-being on this often frustrating journey.
I had a lightbulb moment when Noraa emphasised the benefits of meditating for symptoms of brain fog. Of course this made sense, why hadn’t I connected and ensured I continued meditating regularly, especially knowing how beneficial mindfulness practices are?
I loved the reframing of menopause used throughout the book to come from a place of acceptance and empowerment.
Strategies such as journaling, Tai Chi, mediation, yoga and support networks were given to be used to manage stress and provide inner care on this journey.
This book is an easy to read, gentle resource to help guide the reader through menopause whilst reframing the experience as an opportunity for growth and expansion.

Hacking Menopause by Noraa Casi is a must read if you are going through or just starting the menopause etc.
This book was a great read, to help you get through the menopause, and especially not to dread it, like some of us do or did!
It was an easy read from the beginning till the end and it was full of information, especially full of tips etc to help you get through the challenges you may face on a daily basis. I found this book very helpful. It maybe a small book, but every page is worth its weight in gold on how much Noraa talks about the menopause and what happens to your body etc.
However, the cover does not do this book justice, If I saw this book on the shelf in a book stall I would just walk/pass it by. Its not an eye catcher like other books you can purchase and read about Menopause, which is a shame as this could be loss in future sales!

Summary/Review:
Hacking Menopause is life changing! The author has broken the book into multiple parts. First, she discusses the science behind menopause, then the symptoms of menopause and finally, the research proven holistic strategies to support yourself during menopause. She is not a medical professional, rather a woman who has experienced menopause and so although she doesn’t have scientific evidence other than personal experience, the research she has found is cited in the book. I admired Casi’s skillful use of analogies and the constant humor she used in her narrative. While the writing may not be the most eloquent, the content of the novel left an impact on me. As I begin the early stages of menopause, I found this read enlightened me with greater knowledge, a deeper understanding, and a comforting sense of normalcy. If you are looking for a holistic approach to battling menopause, I highly recommend this read.

I found this book very helpful and knowledgeable. As a 51 yr old woman it really helped me on understanding what I will be going through. I recommend this book for all women.
I revived a copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

I found this to be a very helpful book. I have read several on menopause and this is the first that does a thorough job of speaking on alternative options other than medical to cope with symptoms. The medical information is helpful but I believe many are going to take away the large amount of tools that the author lays out for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

It is a great resource for understanding menopause and strategies you can use immediately. I found this book easy to navigate and very interesting.

I liked the supportive tone in the language and the scientific explanation of the various symptoms. The recommendations for exercises, food and the rest were good. The layout of the book stood out.

I have been looking for a book on menopause that focuses more on the holistic side of things and this was excellent. It was a really positive read that gave lots of great advice for managing the symptoms of menopause.
I will definitely be trying lots of the exercises in the book and would recommend this to anyone who is struggling with the side effects of menopause and wants to look at other options rather than HRT
