Leah is a doctor in practice with her father at their family's medical clinic serving women and children. They're so constrained with each other that they never hug, only shake hands, addressing each other as "Doctor." Leah is expected to carry on the clinic upon Dad's imminent retirement when she suddenly gets an attack of such debilitating vertigo that she is forced to take time off. What she does with that time is take an unanticipated journey of self-discovery that is so rich and fulsome, it almost inspired me to look up my three star signs. What a fine writer is Rosen. I wish she had more books in the women's fiction genre. I would read every one.

A self discovery journey that comes thanks to a twist from the stars! Thank you beyond words to Jessie, Netgalley and G.P. Putnam for the eARC. This was an ABSOLUTE HONOR!
What To Expect:
⭐ Single POV
⭐ Self Discovery Journey as the main storyline
⭐ STEM Careers
⭐ Astrology + the zodiac signs
⭐ Burnout + illness due to stress
⭐ Second chance romance as the secondary storyline
⭐ Family + love of a community as a background storyline
⭐ And a touch of magic led by the stars
⭐ TW: Issues of parental abandonment, misunderstood illness, discussion of cancer and pre-natal/post natal/maternity care
My Thoughts:
First I absolutely ADORED Jessies debut adult release "The Heirloom" and I will say once again if you didn't read it go get it! Follow up books are always scary for the author but also for the reader. I know this one was written with a lot of heart, love and with a big leap! I think she hit the mark. I love this one as much as I loved her last.
Jessie has a way of writing a scene that is puts you physically and emotionally there. It's really one of the most difficult parts for me as a reader to feel fully in a story. Immersed so far that only the story exists and I need to know the whole journey before I can step away. The bright visuals, the truth in stress illness/maybe even a hint of burnout and the emotions that come with it all felt very real and raw. This could be me personally relating as I have been on a long journey (thanks COVID) of self discover, re-finding myself as my career has changed, but also healing for severe burnout. I could relate to the main character (Leah) as she tries to figure out if she is in the right career, happy with her life, happy with where she is, but also feeling strangely as though the contentment she has is and isn't enough.
I have to say I wasn't expecting a whole twist on astrology that led me to finding out my own signs. I always knew I was born as a cancer. What I didn't know is how much the other portions of your signs also define and describe who we are or where we might fit in the world. I am a skeptic, driven by science, very much like Leah, but I do believe we can find depth to our lives, and guidance in other places. Seeing how Leah went from structured, buttoned up, black and white to living life with more color was a real comparative visual for myself. When she tries on the dresses in Turkey and then New York I actually looked at my own closet of mostly navys and blacks thinking I need more color.
If this book brings you nothing else, I hope it brings some laughter, color and life to your world! It definitely did to mine and I am a bit more open minded about the stars today.
Jessie, thank you for this story! Thank you for sharing it with the world! I absolutely adored it and will treasure these words! I think I need another trip to Italy STAT! <3
Synopsis:
Leah Lockhart is proudly science-minded and woo-woo averse. But the life she’s carefully curated is knocked suddenly off course, first by a destabilizing case of vertigo, and then by an astrology reading that claims she’s living way out of line with what was written in her stars.
Incensed, Leah sets off on a mission to prove that all of astrology is bogus by finding her star twins in the world—people born with her exact same astrology. But her true guides on a whirlwind journey through Venice, Istanbul, New Orleans and beyond turn out to be three people already in her the mother she thinks abandoned her, the father she thinks saved her, and the former boy next door whose love could be the path to her truest self.

a solid 3.5 stars
being on this journey was great - but some of the background characters were a tad insufferable and so annoying

All the Signs is a charming and inspiring story of self-discovery. Following a life-altering event, protagonist Leah embarks on a journey of personal growth, challenging her beliefs and embracing new experiences. While the romance is subtle, the focus on Leah's internal transformation and exploration of her authentic self takes center stage. This is a captivating and thought-provoking read for anyone seeking a fresh perspective on life. I received a copy of this book for review purposes.

I loved this story. I am not someone who is into astrology and I never will be but I loved this book. I loved the personal journey this woman went on, the people that she met, the experiences she had and who she became. I could not put it down!

This was a beautifully done romance novel, it had that elmeent that I was looking for and enjoyed from this type of book. It was everything that I wanted and enjoyed the way the characters worked. Jessie Rosen has a strong writing style and was invested in what was going on. I hope to read more from Jessie Rosen as this was really well done.

Long and Short of it: An inspiring read that makes you look at your life differently.
Romance: Some
Spice Level: 1/10
This story was pretty deep when it comes to looking at your inner self and trying to figure out if you’re living authentically or not. I am a fellow Leo, so I resonated with Leah in this story. I also don’t follow astrology closely, so it was relatable to hear her skepticism about the idea.
I really enjoyed this book!! I’m excited for others to read it as well. Even though there is some romance in the book I wouldn’t put it in the Romance genre. I would definitely categorize it as Women’s Fiction.
I hope when you read this book that you will look inside yourself and ponder the things that Leah is trying to figure out herself. It gives you a great perspective on life. It’s so short. Live it to the fullest.
**I received this ARC from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.**

Leah is a doctor committed to serving her patients. Leah thinks she's content with her life until a sudden onset of vertigo causes her to question everything she knows about herself and her beliefs. What follows is an entertaining story of self-discovery as Leah learns to be a little more spontaneous and open-minded.
It was fun to read about Leah's travels and all of the delicious food she encounters. The romance was sweet though I wish it had a little more focus and chance to develop. Overall, a charming and unusual story.
Thank you to Putnam Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a copy.

Quite different from anything else I’ve ever read but not in a bad way. I really enjoyed it and will have to read it again

I really liked the different locations that this book takes us to! I felt like I was on a trip around the world with the main character. Rosen wrote a captivating story. I enjoyed it all. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I loved this book. It was magical. At its core, this is a story about letting go of rigid beliefs and opening yourself up to life’s unpredictability. It’s about love in all its forms: familial, romantic, and most importantly, self-love. The emotional depth, layered storytelling, and perfectly paced character arcs make it one of those rare reads that leaves you feeling both undone and whole.

This was a refreshing mix of self-discovery, humor, and a touch of magic. I loved how Leah’s skepticism and the people around her made the story both grounded and swoon-worthy. It’s a fun, reflective ride with a dash of romance and loads of emotions.
