Thanks to NetGalley for my ARC

Wow. This was a brutal, weird, and beautiful story. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything I just read. I loved the themes of motherhood and feminine rage. It was so interesting to see such heavy topics ( like abuse, neglect, and generational trauma) explored with a horror twist. The horror element was fun and creepy, and in this context, it made total sense. I have to read more from this author.

WHAT WAS THIS?????? but in the best way!!!!!!!!! This was so insane. What an ending. A mix of Rosemary's Baby meets a killer season of American Horror Story. This was my first introduction to Rachel Eve Moulton and I am so happy to say that I loved every second of her writing. Every page had me laughing uncontrollably, between the inner monologues and the horrific descriptions of this monster baby. I could not put this novel down. This was such a fun quick read and I cannot recommend it enough if you are into the horror genre!
Big thank you to Netgalley & Penguin Group Putnam for the ARC!

OK. This was my first book by this author. Let's start there. I went into this not really knowing what to expect other than I love books with creepy Kids. It's a favorite trope of mine.
This book started off just kind of like OK what's going on here but turned into a full on horror movies in my mind and I loved every minute of it.
Girl you are dark! Who could have thought up this story 😂 although obviously this is SUPER UNREALISTIC it was so good.
I loved the horror aspects. I loved the family drama. I loved that the women were the monsters as most often it's the men! The female empowerment that Thea has! Girl. The baby talking and walking and having a million teeth in her mouth at 3 months old! No ma'am!
Creepy Kids are just my thing. I did not expect them to eat the bad men! I felt like once I got to that party I was legit watching a scary movie.
The vibes were right. The story was intriguing. I was shocked that Dillion stayed at the end though haha. I would have ran for the hills.
I'll definitely be reading more of her work!
