Arc Review:
Overall Rating: 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A basic and easy summary of Taylor Swifts career and albums. This book is perfect for all ages but I feel it’s more suited for kids but still enjoyable for an older crowd.

Thank you NetGalley

It was a Good and entertaining book. I'd recommend it for any Taylor Swift fan. I love all the songs in the book and its nice to see about the Eras tour since I wasn't able to go in person.

This is the perfect children’s book for any Taylor Swift lover. The images throughout were depictions of her tours and I loved the page numbers being made to look like charms!

As a longtime Taylor Swift fan, I was thrilled to find Taylor Swift: Music Through the Eras, and it did not disappoint! This book offers a fascinating look at Taylor’s journey from country music to pop superstardom and beyond, detailing how each album shaped her evolving sound and image. The full-color photographs beautifully capture her transformation over the years, and the quote boxes add an extra personal touch straight from Taylor herself.

What made this book even more special was how much my 8-year-old daughter adored it. She’s just discovering Taylor Swift’s music, and this book helped her understand the different “eras” in a fun and engaging way. She loved flipping through the vibrant pages, pointing out outfits and album covers, and learning about the stories behind the songs she’s been singing along to. It sparked so many great conversations between us about music, creativity, and self-expression.

Whether you're a lifelong Swiftie or introducing a young fan to Taylor’s journey, this book is a fantastic, visually appealing, and easy-to-read deep dive into her career. Highly recommended for families, young readers, and anyone who admires Taylor’s artistry!

This book takes the reader through each of Taylor Swift's albums or "eras". While it does not go into extensive detail, it does give some information for even a new fan to understand a bit about each album. The author also includes quotes from Taylor herself. Along with descriptions of the albums are pictures from each to go along with the descriptions.

The book has some interesting information about Taylor and is packed with cute graphics and fitting photos. I think even for big fans of the artist it can give you new insights into her career. The look of the book in some places wasn't my favorite, in some places the font didn't look good to me...

Taylor Swift's Music Through the Eras book was a cute read for younger grades, with basic info, while still captivating the charm of Taylor.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance reader copy of this title in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.

There is nothing overly excited about the book, there's nothing unique that would make you want to buy this book over others on the shelf. The average fan would know most of the information given and the photographs are fairly common. It is not my favorite Taylor themed book.

This is a great addition of memorabilia to any Taylor fan. It includes photos from her career start to current, explains her style of music, clothing, and personal life. Gives facts on awards won each year, as well as other details. Nothing too complex but still interesting to reminisce if you have followed her career

A brief but great introduction to the Taylor Swift catalog through her eras. Very informative with a comprehensive glossary.

This was a very basic but easy summary of Taylor Swift’s career and albums. But however there were some things that really rubbed me in the wrong way as a swiftie. To the talk of Kanye West to how the author talked about her re-recording her masters and how they were “bought by someone Taylor didn’t like”. I found that kind of stuff extremely dismissive and not only does it downplay the complex situation but it also is such a disservice to her as an artist. It really denies her ability, skill and the work ethic that she has.

It is a relatively cute read and there were things that I did like but overall I didn’t love this one unfortunately.

As a Swiftie I found this book to be a great read, I loved seeing the different Eras and what Taylor brought to the fans but also behind the scenes.

Reading challenge - 2024 Hoffbensen: snake, eagle, badger, or lion on the cover (tongue in cheek "snake" - Taylor has been called a snake many times)

ARC ebook from #Netgalley targeting 2nd-5th grade readers. This is a cursory glance at Taylor's albums and lifetime of work. It should be about HER and not about Kanye. Don't bring his name into a book about this woman. And then not mention the name of the person who tried to keep her masters. I would love some big edits to this prior to actual publishing.

This book was a great overview and introduction too to Taylor Swift.

This book takes you on a trip through all the Eras and Taylor Swift's albums. The book has a lot of interesting facts too about Taylor's life and career, through from her initially bursting on to the scene with her country music, through to her current songs which are a mix of different genres.

It is well written, well laid out and easy to follow and has plenty of images too.

The book is a great introduction overall to Taylor Swift and a great one for me as a parent who has a daughter now interested in her music - I can at least sound like I know what I am talking about thanks to the book!

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

Very basic, but still an enjoyable summary of Taylor Swift's career and albums.

I liked how easily digestible this was as well as the photos and colours. The aesthetics are on point 💯 However, the text could use some polishing as it's a little awkward in some parts. Also, saying Big Machine Records was "bought by someone Taylor didn't like" is incredibly dismissing and downplaying a much more complex issue.

I'm not sure who this book is meant to be for. It says grades 2-5 in the description but from inaccurate tour information, mentions of kayne west for "context" sake of Reputation but then leaving out Scoot Braun's name in the context of why she's re-recording. It also has side note sections to explain what a pandemic is and what explicit songs mean. Overall kinda silly.

But for a 7-11 year old it's good probably... no unnecessary boyfriend or breakup song comments so thats a win.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
