This is just a beautiful cookbook, and the recipes are a nice balance of simple and more advanced. Highly recommend digging into this one.
This book is the long-awaited sequel to the first book, the classic Blue Chair Jam Cookbook. It helps, I think, if you have the first book, but it’s not absolutely necessary. While, the first book teaches you, in fine fashion, how to make jam, this book tells you what to do with it. Personally, I was amazed at the many uses of jams and marmalades, both sweet and savory. This book offers up150 recipes to do that from simple classics like Victoria sponge, to a delicious version of the American classic, the pop tart, all the way to vegetable offerings like Brussels sprouts with kumquats. I guarantee you that this book will send you to your stove making as many different types of jams as you possibly can so that you can make these dishes. The book is divided into two sections. Part one provides extensive information about jams and marmalades. Part two contains the luscious recipes, divided by times of the day (morning, afternoon, and evening) so that whatever meal you decide to use your creation, you can head straight to that section. The pictures are mouthwatering, the text and recipes are easy to read and understand. Everything is very straightforward so this book can be enjoyed by both beginner and the more seasoned cook.
