This is a good book for kids who may be going hiking or camping for the first time. It offers helpful tips without going into overwhelming detail. The activities chapter lightens the seriousness of the overall book.

Hiking 101 is an informational books about camping and outdoor activities for kids. It covers a wide range of tips, but stays brief enough not to lose a kid's attention. This would be a great prep book for kids who may be camping for the first time.
