This is the fourth installment in the Large Encyclopedias series, but the first one I've read. I thought it was an enjoyable book, full of little facts and some very helpful illustrations of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. It told of some of the big discoveries in paleontology and how some of these animals had evolved over time. It gave a lot of information on the size of the animals and their habits, and the time period they belonged to. I wouldn't exactly call it an encyclopedia because it was nowhere near as detailed as most people would expect in an encyclopedia, but it was enjoyable for what it was, a bit of an overview of a handful of fascinating creatures.
4/5 stars.
*** I would like to thank NetGalley, Albatros Media, and Radek Maly and Petr Modlitba for the opportunity to read and review Atlas of Prehistoric Animals.
