A delightful mix of friendship, romance, betrayal, and a glimpse into the beauty industry. Well written with likeable characters.
Many thanks to CriarCliffe Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
Flawless was the best kind of guilty pleasure reading! Once I started, I couldn't put the book down. It's wicked fun-- the kind of story that would be well suited for a television/mini-series. Like Dynasty crossed with Devious Maids. Somebody should snatch this up...and quick. If you like fast-paced plots with more meat than fluff, heroines you truly root for (and villains who get their just desserts), this book has it all. Oh, did I mention the hot chef/love interest? Dreamy. I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment.
I had the feeling the story had already started and was underway when I started reading, as if I was late to the party. I felt no connection to the characters or the plot.
I got a copy of this from NetGalley eons ago and finally got around to reading it.
Chick-lit but not light and fluffy - since there's a whole boat load of lies, crime and deception going on, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Derrick is a scum lord and Lance is swoony.
I think I'm going to check out the subsequent installments of this series now!
