I know a lot of these give plot summaries with detailed reflections, but I'm going to keep it short and sweet. The romantic scenes didn't make me cringe. And there were plenty. It actually had a plot. I'm glad I requested this one. I'd def reread it in the future.

boring and predictable book, can definitely tell that it’s a wattpad book. i wanted to finish it, but couldn’t. i’m having a newborn soon i’m not wasting my time on boring books.

This book is more than just a cute love story It shows the unrealistic expectations that are constantly put on the eldest daughter. I as the eldest daughter immediately resonated with this story, I saw a lot of myself in Teagan. It talks about mental health & those uncomfortable conversations that are needed. It highlights the privilege lifestyle that some people live. Although the contract made me so mad, I think it was needed for them to come back to each other.
Overall the spice was just right, the love story was just right & Teagan finally putting herself first was just right!

This book had a good storyline to it. I enjoyed the plot and the elements of the book, but I feel like the delivery fell a little flat for me. I’m always looking for a book that brings up “taboo” topics like eating disorders, abortion or abuse, so I was happy to see that it incorporated a little into the book. I also liked that it had a good representation of other topics like homophobia, racism and adoption that isn’t as talked about.
There was a lot of open door scenes, a lot that felt either rushed, quick or faded to black even though this book is categorized as erotica. I felt there was an over abundance that didn’t need to be in the plot and didn’t help with the story. Overall it just seemed to be centered more on the spice(but still seemed light on the spice) than the plot line for this book.
If you just want a cute easy spicy read then this is a good pick.

I liked the cover and the title of the book but ultimately when I began reading the story I didn't connect much with the characters. I found it to be uninteresting and just not for me. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

this definitely gave wattpad vibes, very predictable and the plot was interesting enough outside of their situationship

Did not see that twist coming! It definitely added some much needed depth to the relationship. Very sweet!

Situationship by E.M. Wilson delivers a sizzling and entertaining story that perfectly balances spice, humor, and emotional depth. Teagan and Heath’s “arrangement” starts as a practical solution but quickly spirals into a rollercoaster of complicated feelings, making it hard to put the book down.
Teagan is a compelling protagonist, juggling the pressure of family expectations with her own desire for independence, which a lot of us readers can relate to. The pressure of pleasing your parents while leaving behind your own life desires. Heath, with his charm and nonchalant attitude, provides the perfect counterbalance. Their dynamic feels fresh and engaging, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and undeniable sparks that keep the pages turning. Seriously, Teagan's commentary had me chuckling out loud, well done! Beyond the steamy romance and glamorous events, the story also delves into heavier topics like self-worth, emotional vulnerability, racism, homophobia and the challenges of maintaining authenticity under societal pressures, adding depth to the characters and their journey.
Though some parts of the plot are predictable and the pacing lags slightly in the middle, the thoughtful exploration of these themes and the engaging romance make up for it. For readers looking for a mix of emotional complexity, glamorous settings, and fake-dating fun, Situationship is an irresistible choice.

Situationship is a captivating romance that explores the complexities of a no-strings-attached relationship. Heath and Teagan's journey is filled with humor, angst, and genuine moments that make you root for them. Wilson's characters are well-developed and relatable, making their emotional struggles and growth feel real. The story is engaging and keeps you hooked from start to finish.

Going into this I had an idea of what it would be about, so I wasn't surprised. But I love Heath. Regardless of how he is described, he really surprised me. And his character development was important and I'm glad it was included in the story. Teagan was exactly how I thought she would be and reminded me a little about myself; trying to suppress true feelings for Heath by making their arrangement contractual and set rules to keep it light in a sense and that never works. She also has a bit of much needed character development and awareness of how what she does affects the ones she loves. Overall great book, loved the plot, the spice and characters both main and supporting, and well written quick read imo.

It took me awhile to really get into this story, but once I did, i was hooked! I couldn't put it down! It was quick romantic (with lots of spice!) read! And Heath is a perfect book boyfriend! And I know they were supposed to, but those other friends Brett and Ritchie and Ryan, just made me so mad!! I don't understand how Teagan put up with all of them for so long! The "third act" of this book has me captivated! Between the reveal and the blow ups, I didn't know what was going to happen next! Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for my digital ARC!!

The cover on this one got me, it is so darn cute. Unfortunately the story inside did not work for me at all. There was way too much spice without enough plot, that is a huge dealbreaker for me. It also really lacked depth in the terms of the relationship, it truly just felt superficial.

Situationship follows Teagan and Heath who finds themselves in a frenemies with benefits arrangement just for the summer.
Tropes- frenemies to lovers, scheduled hookups, friends with benefits, interracial couple, range of representation, second chances, disability.
This book had a lot of potential and I had a lot of hope for the story line but the delivery fell for me. I did like the wide range of presentation from homophobia, racism, eating disorders, adoption, interracial relationship. The plot as a whole is really good, this book just needs some TLC with editing. The banter was my favorite part!
I love romance novels of all kinds so for a book that was listed as erotica, I was expecting more explicit scenes. The cringe descriptions (delicate petals, little bud, bundle of nerves etc) always make me roll my eyes since these aren't fade to black scenes.
Also, the out of nowhere history between the FMC and MMC at the end of the book caught me off guard. I wish I would have known about that earlier in the book. I was lead to believe that what happened the previous summer was the reason for the hate between the 2 MCs. I guess I really didn't know why they hated each other until then because they, and their other friends from their childhood, are a chaotic lot and always bickered.

I received a copy of this for my honest review
I knew what to expect for a Wattpad book - but this had just a little too much smut versus plot for me.

Situationship jumps straight into the steamy scenes, which are well-written and sexy as hell, but the story also has surprising emotional depth. My only issue was not learning about Tegan and Heath’s past sooner, as it left me wondering why she was sometimes harsh toward him. Overall, a fun, sexy read with good banter and emotional weight. 3.5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and wattpad for this ARC. All opinions are my own.
I loved the premise of this book, but the execution fell flat. The romance felt rushed and forced. The spicy scenes used cringe language. It approached big topics such as racism, sexism, and homophobia but didn’t dive as deep into the impact of them as it could have. This was just an okay read in the end. It has good bare bones though and as a debut it shows potential for the author.

Teagan and Heath have been part of the same friend group for years. So when Teagan needs a hook up (no feelings, just sex), it makes sense for the two to agree on a situationship. But as any lover of romantic comedies knows, it's not easy to keep feelings from getting in the way!
This was a really fun book that I read in one sitting. I appreciated that Teagan was a bit of a prickly character and that the book really let a Black FMC be unlikable and prickly at times. I also really really enjoyed that the book went into serious issues like racism, abortion and transracial adoption, while still having a lot of fun spice and wealth jealousy (yes, I want to buy top quality sushi at a nice restaurant in New York.)
There was one reveal about the relationship that felt a bit out of the blue, although it made sense thematically. I think more hints or discussions about it would have made it less abrupt.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a fun, spicy read with some depth.

Situationship sadly wasn’t for me. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a wattpad published book (and that’s on me!) and I don’t think I’m the target audience for them.

Situationships suck but Situationship by E.M Wilson is amazing and refreshing, witty and charming!
Because a totally casual, strictly just physical between two ambitious professionals will not amount to falling in love right? So wrong. I love seeing how hard they fall and they fall hard! It's got a good mix of wit, banter, spice and humor that fake dating fans will eat up. It's steamy, romantic, and hilarious at times. A modern romance of this time where situationships can ruin a relationship or develop into something beautiful and their relationship was so sweet to see how they complimented each other so well and became their perfect person for them. A must read for romance readers!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.
I really wanted to like this arc. The plot was right up my alley..but I DNF. The MMC was completely unlikable..just so many ick moments overall I couldn’t do it.
