This book was was amazing. I loved Hendrix’s storyline! I just lost my grandma to Alzheimer’s last week and hearing about Hendrix’s mom made me at peace. At first it’s hard to deal with the diagnosis but hearing about Hendrix’s story gave me a better understanding. The way Kennedy Ryan does her research for her stories is amazing! Thank you so much

Can't Get Enough:
5/5
Spicy: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

* A LIL DOSE OF SPOILERS *

First off—Hendrix is that girl! The ultimate ride-or-die friend who always says what we are thinking.

I loved seeing her show vulnerability in this story. Kennedy Ryan did a phenomenal job portraying Alzheimer’s with care and depth—she always handles tough topics with such thoughtfulness.

This book is a powerful reminder that we can’t love someone into changing or force them to compromise their boundaries. People will always find their way to what they truly want.

And let’s talk about that closet scene—whew! I was on edge the entire time, just waiting for them to get caught!

Maverick’s understanding of Alzheimer’s was so touching. The way he showed patience and care with Hendrix’s mom had me tearing up. Beyond that, the book beautifully highlights how caretaking and nurturing aren’t exclusive to motherhood. Hendrix’s role in her family dynamic shows just how important these qualities are, even outside of traditional parenting.

As always, Kennedy takes complex topics and makes them deeply human, reminding us that we are all worthy of a happily ever after. Kennedy Stan FOREVERRRR!

Well…this is the first of the Skyland series that didn’t make me cry…so that’s something.

I don’t know y’all. I was really excited for this- the first two were everything I needed in a romance novel (don’t ask me to expound on those needs because I can’t 😅)

I really wanted to love this, but…this…this was just okay. The messy forbidden romance trope was a lot, Skipper and Bolt gave me the ick, the characters in general weren’t popping off the page like before, and I just wasn’t feeling this relationship at all. Something just felt off.

I’m giving it a generous ⭐️⭐️⭐️

While it wasn’t my fav, I’d say to still give it a go at least to finish the series!

🌹 Book Review 🌹

A huge thank you to @kennedyryan1, @readforeverpub & @netgalley for my ARC of:

Can’t Get Enough: Book 3 of the Skyland Series—releasing 5/13/25
You do not want to miss this perfect ending to this perfect series!

Kennedy Ryan is a true master at weaving a swoon worthy, steamy, & strong romance in with a meaningful, challenging, and authentic journey for the characters. I am never left short on wanting and needing to reflect the words of her stories while also embracing alll of the butterflies that come with the romance!

Hendrix’s story may be my favorite of the 3, even though it’s truly hard to choose; Maverick for sure became my favorite MMC of the series 🥹

Hendrix is a fierce, successful business woman of many facets, and childless by choice. Something that KR absolutely excels in is showing the ways in which Black women contain MULTITUDES. She showcases every woman so wholly individually, giving breath to both their obstacles and their triumphs. Hendrix being the utter badass we all knew she would be still had problems that were authentic.

I was so appreciative to see the realities of her navigating her mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and all that comes with it while maintaining her ability to thrive in business and navigate a budding romantic love. She was perfectly layered— written like a person I feel like I came to know in real life.

And Maverick? Wow. He was incredible! I loved seeing his own business ventures and his journey to learning the ways that a true and deep love evolves who we are. Hendrix is his PERSON, and I loved seeing him embrace and honor her as such.

Lastly, I cannot round out my review without highlighting the beauty of Hen’s beautiful friends revisited, Yasmen & Soledad. The beauty of strong, healthy friendships between adult women is so need and so well represented throughout this series; it sets these books apart in the best way.

I’m so sad to be walking away from these women and their stories, but I’ll carry them always in my heart. And maybe reread them all, too 🤓

Get this on your TBR stat!
And start with Before I Let Go

“Falling in love with you is the easiest thing I’ve ever done.”

I really loved this story! It has so much depth with Hendrix helping take care of her mom with Alzheimer’s & so much passion (I mean I was sweating every time Hen and Maverick were in the same room together 🥵).

The Zere & Hendrix plot line added so much drama to this book and I was living for it. Zere really was acting like a massive b*tch and I was so here for how Hendrix handled her so maturely 👏🏼

The ending of the book is where I struggled a little. I read the authors note at the end so I totally understand not wrapping up how Hendrix’s business was fairing after everything! But I wanted to know how her mom was doing, what Skipper and Bolt were up to, etc.

Such a stunning book from Kennedy Ryan and I’m so excited to see what she writes next! This was the perfect ending to the Skyland series 🥹 I was definitely tearing up with the last scene of our girls all together 🥲

*thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an earc in exchange for an honest review!

Hendrix is a force. No notes. While, the billionaire romance trope wasn't super angtsy as that man was 100% in it from day one--where Kennedy Ryan went deep was with how Maverick held space for Hendrix and her family. The garden scene. The bench scene. I can't think about it without getting a cryball. Also, the birthday party closet scene---but for other reasons. This book was a ten.

Thanks to Forever for the ARC of this book! I have loved everything that I have read by Kennedy Ryan and I was thrilled to read this one! This books follows Hendrix who is late thirties woman. She always has said she doesn't care to have the traditional marriage and kids experience and she is living her best life being the fun and glamourous aunt. The job that she does has her around a lot of famous people and she is working on getting a tv show made, when she meets Maverick Bell. He is a tech mogul and a billionaire who has set his eyes on her. There are a whole host of reasons, they shouldn't be together, but the pull towards each other is magnetic. I loved reading about how he really pursues her and doesn't give up. He is supportive of her in ways that show he really loves her and is truly an incredible book boyfriend. If you like romance at all, especially if you enjoy a slightly older main character, this one is for you! It has a surprising amount of depth and I really couldn't put it down!

There are times when we move past our mind's comprehension and surrender to our soul's knowing. Hendrix and Maverick's intricately layered story shows what happens when two intelligent and resourceful individuals move beyond logic.

I entered this story feeling as though I knew Hendrix from Yasmin and Soledad's stories. Aside from being a force in her industry, Hendrix has consistently exuded confidence, been the life of the party, knows how to get shit done, and is the ever-strong pillar that so many lean on. But don't the strong ones need someone to be strong for them, too?

Cue Maverick Bell, the one who has it all because he worked for it. But is he willing to blur the lines and trust his heart towards the forbidden when money can't buy what he wants most? Two independently whole individuals challenge societal norms while chasing their own dreams and carrying the responsibility of their parents on their shoulders.

Finally, what touched and pulled at my personal heartstrings the most – the caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's and dementia. Kennedy Ryan unlocked the memories of my great-grandmother's gradual decline and witnessing the hardship of her caretaker (my grandmother) when she unfolded the story of Hendrix's mother. Such a tragically complex disease was written through the pages to show both the pain and beauty of loving someone with it...a love story in itself.

I have read every single Kennedy Ryan book, and once again... she doesn't fail to take my breath away.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of reading this book. It truly felt like the missing piece to the series. Hendrix's story was told in such a heartfelt and relatable way that it felt like I could see myself in her character. Thank you for taking the time to give her story the attention and depth it so rightfully deserved.

Although that’s far, I’ve been quite a fan of the Skyland series, this is my least favorite in the trio. I find Hendrix to be a strong and compelling main character, she’s interesting, she is funny, and she’s dealing with very real life struggles, taking care of a parent with Alzheimer’s. However, Maverick is a character that I am completely uninterested in. I find him to be quite boring, and I’m just not into the billionaire romance trope. The storyline surrounding his businesses what Hendrix does that work is not interesting to me. I also find that there’s a lot of explanation that goes on in this book as opposed to the plot being driven by dialogue or the characters choices. Overall, this was kind of weak for me.

If I loved this book any less, perhaps I could talk about it more eloquently!! I could not get enough of Hendrix and this book, I absolutely loved it. Hendrix met her match with Maverick and I was so delighted to watch their relationship progress. Maverick is a billboard for “if he wanted to, he would,” and I freaking love him!! But more than that I loved how well he cared for Hendrix. There was a lot of telling but also A LOT of showing, and it was perfect!! She deserves every good thing in a partner and she got it!

The friendship between Hendrix, Soledad, and Yasmen is such a beautiful thing, I really appreciate how Kennedy Ryan always portrays different kinds of love in her books. It’s not just about the kissing romance, but how love manifests in friendships and families too. These relationships are just as important and Hendrix gets that!!

As someone who is currently experiencing part-time caretaking for a family member with Alzheimer’s, I really felt the care that went into writing these parts of the book. It is such a difficult and specific kind of grief and I felt very understood when reading.

Anyway I loved this book! I love Hendrix! I love Skyland! 5 stars seems terribly inadequate.

Kennedy Ryan can do no wrong in my opinion. Can’t Get Enough is the finally installment in the Skyland Series and I have loved them all. However, Hendrix’s story really hit home for me. She is the independent girl who has been hurt in the past. She wants to handle things on her own so she struggles to let people in. I also really resonated with the fact that she doesn’t want kids. It is such an unpopular opinion for women to feel this way but it was so nice to see such a strong representation of this. Maverick was definitely overbearing at times but I fell in love with him quickly. The Alzheimer’s story line of Hendrix’s mom was absolutely heartbreaking but realistic.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge Kennedy Ryan fan. The Skyland series felt like home to me. The friendships, stories of past love revisited, forbidden loves and sisterhood just felt so visceral and real to me. When I found out that Hendrix would be receiving her own book I was so excited, anticipation was so strong for the story, the background of Hendrix. She to me was always the fun one, the girlfriend that I felt I most connected with. To say that I was disappointed by the book would be a an understatement. I hate that I did not like the storyline, the way Hendrix character was built out bothered me so much. Yes I understand that Kennedy Ryan wanted to write another side of Hendrix, the dutiful daughter who was caring for her mother, but this book made Hendrix a shadow of who she was or appeared to me in the other books. I also loved that Hendrix was a girls girl, in this book I didn’t feel that way. Without going into too much detail for those who didn’t read the book I don’t like how her relationship with Maverick started. As a woman who has been on the receiving end of a one sided break up it hurt my heart that Hendrix didn’t handle her business partners heart more tenderly. Also, Maverick just seemed to love bomb Hendrix and the sex scenes were a bit much not in a smutty way but in a Hendrix deserved better way for their first time. The book felt very heavy the entire time with very little levity between the pages. I wanted to love it but it fell flat for me.

Thank you to foreverpub for the advanced read of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Kennedy Ryan masterfully blends a compelling love story with real-life challenges that can make us hesitant to embrace new love. In Can’t Get Enough, she doesn’t just deliver romance—she offers an emotional journey that explores the complexities of trust and vulnerability.

Hendrix, a character we’ve adored since Before I Let Go, is shown in an entirely new light. In this story, we witness her as a daughter grappling with her mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis while living miles away, a powerful reminder of the struggles many face in caring for aging parents. We also see Hendrix as an ambitious woman navigating career setbacks—some predictable, others completely unexpected—all while striving for more. Beneath her vibrant, fun-loving exterior, Hendrix is a woman guarding her heart, determined not to lose herself in a relationship or diminish her dreams for anyone.

Then there’s Maverick who’s exactly what Hendrix needs—someone who’s clear about what he wants and confident in who he is. He doesn’t push her to change or make sacrifices that aren’t right for her. Instead, he supports her and respects her, making their relationship feel both real and something to aspire to. Together, they prove that love isn’t about changing each other but about lifting each other up and growing together.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much. It did start a bit slow, for me and the “friend” loyalty Hendrix had for Zere bothered me. The spice was chef’s kiss (probably the spiciest of the 3 books) and I loved the callback to some characters from the Hoop Series!

Kennedy Ryan is a master. She’s a master at words and emotions and actions that back up the heart of these stories. No one does women better. The relationships they have with themselves and the relationships they have with their surrounding people. It’s a master class in humanity and a master class into love and fulfilling relationships in life. I’ve read every word she’s published and I’m a better human and more understanding woman because of her ability to craft stories that are significant in time.

I have been waiting for the final book in the Skyland series and Can't Get Enough was exactly what I was hoping for! Kennedy Ryan just has a way with storytelling.

Hendrix is a smart, driven, self-made, independent woman. She's very successful and loves as hard as she works. Maverick is a billionaire businessman who is always after the next big deal. Hendrix and Maverick meet and their connection is almost immediate. Will they be able to make something work between them when there are many obstacles that could keep them apart?

There were so many important topics, including women's rights, equality and alzheimer's, among others, that were covered in this book and Kennedy Ryan handles each of them gracefully as she always does. I felt all the emotions while reading. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. I feel privileged to be able to read Kennedy Ryan books.

Hendrix is a single and childless by choice badass and best friend to Yasmen and Soledad (from the first two books in the series). She has an amazing career and works hard to get her clients the best deals and opportunities. One of her client has recently won a modeling competition and the shows host (Zere) and Hendrix are trying to get her a show of her own. However, Hendrix and Zere hit a problem when Maverick, billionaire and Zere's ex boyfriend, pursues Hendrix. During this, Hendrix is also helping to care for mom who was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's and lives in Charlotte (while Hendrix is outside Atlanta).

I have really, really enjoyed this series. While this book wasn't my favorite of the series, all 3 books are great reads. I REALLY loved how Kennedy Ryan had a series cross-over with Hoops and we had August West and Kenan Ross make appearances! I loved the worlds colliding!

4.5 stars!

I can always count on Kennedy Ryan to pack such an emotional punch in a story. This was no exception.

I loved the way both adults were in their 40s, the strong independence each of them had outside of each other, and unwavering female friendships throughout the story.

This book shed some more light on caring for a parent or family with Alzheimer’s, which is something I do not have any experience in. This was very insightful to REAL people’s journeys.

The cameos from the previous books AND The Hoops books was such a delight!

Lastly, it was so nice to have representation of ALL sorts of motherhood and NOT wanting children as well. I feel like Kennedy is leading the way with this representation in romance books.

Solid 4.5 stars. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC 🩷

Thank you to NetGalley, Forever, and Grand Central Publishing for this advanced copy! You can pick up Can't Get Enough on May 13, 2025.

Kennedy Ryan once again weaves a gorgeous tale of self-discovery, love, and hardship. Hendrix was a standout character even in Yasmen and Soledad's books, but witnessing her journey in Can't Get Enough made me love her even more.

Hendrix's no-nonsense attitude and unwavering ambition is refreshing in a world where women are expected to sacrifice so much for men. But she never surrenders her convictions and dreams for others... except when Maverick Bell enters the picture.

Maverick might be my favorite male lead of Ryan's to date. Equal parts confident and vulnerable, Mav SHOWS his love for Hendrix in numerous ways, using his actions as much as his words to prove that they should take a chance on each other. Though this book heavily focuses on Hendrix's journey and her mother's declining health, I found this to be the most romantic or romance-forward of the three books. Mav had me swooning as much as Hendrix, and the forbidden aspect of their love was absolutely delicious.

Did I cry during all the heartbreaking moments with Hendrix's mom? Absolutely. Watching your loved one go through Alzheimer's or a similar disease is devastating, but Hendrix showed once again how resilience and strength can buoy you during those times. And Mav showed Hendrix that it's okay to need a shoulder to cry on when you don't want to feel tough or strong anymore.

All in all, this is a top tier book celebrating Black women in power, loving adult (40+) relationships, and the incredible friendships that fuel our lives.

Let’s pour one out for the Skyland series! I can’t believe this is the last book, but I think it wrapped everything up nicely.

Hendrix barry is me, and I am her (except I don’t own a business or have a billionaire boyfriend lol). But really, I saw myself a lot in Hendrix, in the way people spoke with her about being successful, but in her early 40s, single, no kids (by choice). And even if it’s the path you choose, I think there’s a bit of loneliness to it, and I think that was captured really well here. Then you do meet someone, who is kind and all about you, but you've been so fiercely independent, there’s a bit of a fundamental change that has to happen and I think that was also represented well. I just loved it and it all resonated with me. Then there is the taking care of an aging parent, sheeesh. Towards the end of the book, I was getting my hair done, and just tearing up under the dryer lol. Everything about this book was just written so well, handled with care, and so black. I loved it.

I can’t wait to see what Kennedy writes next, and I can’t wait to see this become a show :)
