Kennedy Ryan is a seriously underrated author in my opinion, and her Skyland series is so fantastic, I want everyone to read it. As an avid romance reader, you’re often met with a lot of stories of twenty-somethings finding their HEAs (happily ever afters) but it still feels a little less common to read stories about people in their thirties or forties, finding their love, which is one of the reasons why I love this series so much.

This third instalment follows Hendrix, a woman in her forties, childless by choice and at the top of her career, who is having to navigate caretaking her mother’s advancing Alzheimers. She meets Mav and well… you’ll just have to read it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book!

I am not a big romance reader, but Kennedy Ryan has made me learn to appreciate them more. I like that Ryan's Skyland Series merges women's fiction and romance because I don't like excessive spice. I much prefer more drama and plot instead of sexual scenes. After reading Before I Let Go, I was very interested in reading about Soledad and her chance with love. Judah was such a sweet, caring man and was really feeling Soledad. But on a self-love journey, Soledad really struggled to let her guard down and she was about to miss her blessing God put right in front of her. Sometimes, it be like that and we don't see what's right in front of us. Ryan does a good job of showing us love in complex and different ways. All the paths to love do not travel in the same way.

As an aunt to a nephew who is on the spectrum, I found it especially poignant to represent all types of families and the challenges they face in their everyday life. I know what types of situations that my sister deals with so I know both Soledad and Judah endure scrutiny and challenges because their children are different. Many parents can relate to this part of the story. Kudos to Ryan for sure care to this topic.

I am looking forward to reading the third book and see how Hendrix evolves and develops in her own life. Keep up the wonderful stories about Black women and our experiences, Kennedy. We thank you immensely for your craft and loving on us so abundantly.

Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan!

Book releases May 13, 2025

Hendrix is a boss lady that is trying to accomplish dreams. While trying to do that, she meets Mav. They’re attracted to each other since the day they meet and we can feel the attraction. Hendrix knows that she has to possibly choose between accomplishing her dream or the man that checks all the boxes. I loved the way Mav shows up for Hendrix while she is caring for her mom that has Alzheimer 🥺! The spice level between them was strong 🥵. The ending got me 😭🥺!

“The right one won’t ask you to give up your dreams, but will care just as much as you do about them.”

The way Kennedy Ryan can write romance, with real life experiences, and wonderful friendships is top tier. I didn’t what this series to end.

Don’t forget to get your copy May 13! You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you so much @netgalley & @kennedyryan1 my first ARC.

Kennedy Ryan had done it once again. She has written yet another masterpiece. It read this book from start to finish in one day. I’m going to try can keep this as spoiler free as I can.
This story has the perfect blends of love, friendship, spice, faith, self-sabotage, and self-love into one powerful narrative. The way that all the topics are handle in a delicate manner while still giving a well detailed and established story.
One of my favorite things about Kennedy’s books is the confidence and security of her FMC’s. I love a badass FMC. I think what I loved most about Hendrix’s story is that I saw so much of myself in her. Her determination and unwilling ness to settle is so inspiring.
Watching Hendrix learn to deal with her new reality with her mom while learning to be open and vulnerability with Maverick while navigating their chemistry was such compelling story. vulnerability is something that black women feel we are not allowed to be. That we should quietly learn to deal and solve our problem on our own even though some problem takes a village. And this book shows how important it is that we align our self with people who will allow us to be ourselves in all emotions.
This book definitely had me holding back tears a few times from how heartwarming and emotional some of chapters got. My only note would be that I wish we got a little more of Yasmine and Soledad but that just because I missed my girls.
I am so grateful and honored to have a chance to read this book early. This book is a must read for anyone who is not only a fan of Kennedy Ryan but for anyone that needs a reminder that they can do it all and still be deserving of unconditional love.
Thank you Forever and Netgalley for this Advance Readers Copy.

—40-something leads (yes!!!!)

—childfree by choice

—actual adult life issues, like taking care of a parent with Alzheimer's and fighting a system that wants to crush you

—but also delicious romance drama, like "oh no my client is brokenhearted over her ex but he WANTS me and he iiiisssss single...."

Heat Index: 7/10

The Basics:

Hendrix is killing it—business is booming with her clients in the entertainment industry, and while she's struggling to move between coasts as she deals with her mother's Alzheimer's diagnosis, she's got this (really!). She doesn't have the time or inclination for romance, which is why it's rather inconvenient when tech mogul Maverick sets out in hot pursuit... all the more complicated since he recently broke up with a woman Hendrix counts as both a client and a friend.

The Review:

I feel I should make it abundantly clear that this is not a "love triangle" book. I personally wouldn't have minded if it was, but I know a lot of would, and... Look, it's not that. Mav is very clear with Zere, his ex, that it's not working for him and it's not going to work. They're broken up before the book begins—albeit recently.

And one of the reasons they did break up is that Mav, though a loving father to his young adult daughter, doesn't want any more kids. Zere wants kids. Hendrix doesn't. As someone who also doesn't want children, I really appreciated how naturally Kennedy Ryan centered Hendrix's desire to remain childless, while subtly tackling the way in which people (especially men if I'm being real) are called "time wasters" for not budging on something they never wanted and were clear they didn't want. Zere isn't made out to be a horrible person, but she is clearly positioning herself as a victim when the reality is that she chose to spend time trying to change someone who wasn't going to change.

Which brings me to something else I really loved about this book. Mav and Hendrix are in their forties. They are people who have their own lives, their routines, their set systems and expectations. This novel is both about having that set lifestyle disrupted by real love... and also acknowledging that some things aren't going to change. Which causes friction, and requires compromise. Like, this is Kennedy Ryan—it's heady, it's swoony, it's sexy. But it's also quite emotionally realistic.

The realism goes beyond the emotion, too. This book deals heavily with the dismantling of programs put in place in an attempt to level the societal playing field—affirmative action in particular. Hendrix runs a program meant to provide grants to Black women entrepreneurs, and her mission is threatened throughout the novel. And I really appreciated Ryan's choices here regarding resolution. In a time when we need romance novels that give us true love and hope and happiness and also an injection of fight, Can't Get Enough does just that.

But it's also... really nice to see Hendrix valued and chased and thirsted after. She's a delightful heroine, maybe my favorite of the Skyland ladies (though Before I Let Go may remain my favorite installment of the series overall, with this coming in at a strong second place). Her connection with Mav is based on true compatibility. Which doesn't man it's perfect! it does mean, however, that we're seeing two people who truly understand each other getting the love they deserve. Their chemistry jumps off the page, and while you absolutely see that... yeah. This is not the right time in so many ways. How could there be any other time for them? How could they not be together?

Obviously, Hendrix's mother's illness is a big part of this novel, and it's pretty heartbreaking. I don't think it in any way overwhelms the love story, but I honestly appreciated seeing that reality while the person handling it found love. This is a very "life and love continue to happen even in the hardest of times" book, which... is kind of exactly what I think a lot of us need right now.

The Sex:

Kennedy Ryan writes sex scenes that are both super hot and super authentic to the characters. The first scene between Mav and Hendrix is... legitimately one of the best first times I've read a while. Off the charts hot. Like, RIDICULOUSLY hot. And it involves shapewear! He's into it! I'm into him being into it! HOT.

Conclusion:

Another "feel your feelings" book from Kennedy Ryan, with an intense yet realistic love affair based on the very real quandaries that come with having so much happening... and finding something that may be worth the risk. I think this is going to hit home for a lot of women (it definitely did for me), and it's beautifully written.

Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Kennedy Ryan has a way of writing romance that doesn’t just tug at the heartstrings—it yanks, pulls, and refuses to let go. Can’t Get Enough is no exception. This story is a stunning exploration of ambition, love, and the delicate balance between chasing dreams and making space for something real.
Hendrix Barry is everything—driven, successful, and fiercely independent. She’s built a life that most people would envy, but beneath the carefully curated vision of success, she’s juggling more than anyone realizes. The weight of responsibility, particularly in caring for her aging parent, makes romance feel like a distraction she can’t afford. Enter Maverick Bell, a man who isn’t just tempting—he’s a game-changer.
Mav is relentless in the best way, seeing past the walls Hendrix has so carefully constructed and showing her that love doesn’t have to come at the cost of success. Their chemistry is electric, their banter sharp, and their connection undeniable. But what makes this story shine isn’t just the heat—it’s the depth. Kennedy Ryan crafts a romance that feels real, messy, and deeply earned, with characters as compelling apart as they are together.
This book is about more than falling in love; it’s about choosing love when life feels too full for it. Hendrix and Maverick’s journey is swoon-worthy, heartbreaking, and ultimately triumphant. I couldn’t put it down.

Loving her, being with her– the only thing I can’t get enough of is this. Is us.

I knew the last book in the Skyland Series would pack a big punch based on the larger than life personality displayed by Hendrix in the first two stories. But I had no idea that we would get a love story for the ages when Hendrix met Maverick (swoon). And while romance always takes center stage in Kennedy Ryan’s books, we also go to witness a friendship dynamic that was uplifting and admirable between the three heroines of the series.

Even while navigating a family crisis, Hendrix still managed to shine a light on equality, while displaying a fierceness that was center-stage when it came to her handling of matters of the heart and her professional life. This was an enjoyable read, that will give you all the feels…joy, sadness, pride, empowerment...and last but not least, inspiration! Kennedy Ryan never disappoints!

If you want a story filled with humor, spice, and all the feels, then Can’t Get Enough is the book for you!

After getting snippets of Hendrix in Yasmen and Soledad’s books - I was excited to learn more about the rich auntie of the group and I was not disappointed! Hendrix is expanding her already successful business and balancing care for her mother who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Maverick is also working on expanding his empire and just got out of a long-term relationship. When the two meet - they connect on a level that they’ve never experienced before, and the reader gets a front row seat at their love story.

Hendrix & Maverick’s relationship is my favorite written by Kennedy Ryan as they have very similar values and goals, which allows them to connect on an even deeper level. They both utilize words and actions to affirm each other and can express themselves without fear of judgment. “Now I know what it means to feel seen. To feel known.” I think if there was a textbook perfect couple it would be the two of them!

I highly recommend this novel for all readers - as I can’t think of anyone that wouldn’t enjoy this book!

This book completely stole my heart. Hendrix is strong, independent, and fiercely devoted to her family and friends, even when it comes at a personal cost. Watching her navigate love, responsibility, and her own happiness was both emotional and inspiring.
And then there’s Maverick 'four fingers' Bell… whew. The man is everything—charming, patient, and undeniably swoon-worthy. Their chemistry is off the charts, but what really got me was the depth of their connection. It’s not just passion; it’s trust, healing, and love in its purest form.
Kennedy never just tells a love story—she makes you feel it. This book is about sacrifice, self-worth, and finding love that doesn’t ask you to shrink yourself. I laughed, I cried, and I didn’t want it to end. If you love emotional, deeply layered romances, Can’t Get Enough is a must-read!

I absolutely loved Before I Let Go and wasn't as crazy about Soledad's story, but Hendrix.....this was it! This may now be my favorite in the series. Not only because of how empowering Hendrix's story was but Maverick 😍 The two of them together was 👌😘 The struggle of Alzheimer’s was such an emotional part of the story and the social issues throughout were a welcome addition to the romance story. The note at the end from the author was a wonderful addition explaining her reasoning. This was more than a romance book, this was a raw story about love, between friends and parents alike, and a story about the struggle of women and black people. It was empowering and really raised my awareness of things I have been lucky to not know about. The commentary about not wanting children really hit home for me as well, as I have exactly the same sentiments as Hendrix. Overall, this is a powerful story about a black woman helping build up other black women while also finding love along the way. A love that meets you right where you are and doesn't expect anything more or different than what was offered.

Kennedy. Ryan. Can. Do. No. Wrong.

THIS BOOOOOK!!!! It's so so so so good. I loved Hendrix in the first two Skyland books where she was a secondary character and have been patiently waiting for her to take center stage. Her story does not disappoint! She is the epitome of a strong independent woman who knows exactly who she is and does not let anything stand in the way of her goals. I think this is what makes her relationship with Maverick so satisfying - she doesn't need him. She wants him. And that makes all the difference in the world. I thought their relationship was believable and rooted for them the whole time. It was really well done!

I loved the secondary plotline of Hendrix's mom's struggle with dementia. As someone who has lost a close family member to Alzheimer's, the topic was treated with the utmost care and sensitivity it deserves.

Hendrix Barry is living her best life. On the verge of new journeys in her life, both good and bad, she meets billionaire Maverick Bell. Sparks fly between the two when they first meet, but a mutual connection makes them acting on their connection forbidden. Hendrix quickly friend zones Maverick and the two get to know each other through shared experiences and new business partnerships. Can they resist their romantic feelings for one another, knowing that crossing that line will implode all that she has worked for?

You know a book is going to be good when you're reading the author's note before the first chapter and you're already in tears. I wasn't surprised when this happened. Kennedy Ryan always gets me in my feels, but this book spoke to me in a different way. When I was in my early twenties, I became my father's power of attorney because he had dementia. Those years I held this role before he passed were challenging, to say the least. I approached this story warily, not knowing how it would make me feel. I don't think I've ever read a story that featured a main character caring for someone with dementia that felt so complete in how it was portrayed. Kennedy Ryan is a master at sharing the complexity of our experiences with depth, nuance, and in a way that leaves you whole in the end. It takes a very talented writer to do that.

Ryan gave us a love story that I felt deep in my bones. From the moment they met, I knew that Hendrix and Maverick's journey was going to be all I wanted it to be. Maverick was a man with a plan and he pursued her with determination and need. I loved the slow burn development of their romance because the tension built into a crescendo that was worth the wait. And I'm not gonna lie, the bit of juicy drama from them revealing that they were together was very entertaining!

Hendrix is ambitious, bold, authentic, and willing to fight for what is right. She is one of those heroines that has characteristics that I aspire to live my life with. No wonder Maverick, a man who could have any woman, only had eyes for her since the moment they met. I loved that he knew how to treat her like the goddess that she is.

With this third book in the Skyland series, I am further convinced that Kennedy Ryan is one of the most brilliant writers of our time. This book is a 2025 MUST-READ!!!

One last thought is...can we get a Bolt and Skipper story, please???

Hendrix Barry lives a fabulous life. She has phenomenal friends, a loving family, and a thriving business that places her in the entertainment industry's rarefied air. Your vision board? She’s probably living it.

She’s a woman with goals, dreams, ambitions—always striving upward. And in the midst of everything, she's facing her toughest challenge yet: caring for an aging parent.

Who has time for romance? From her experience, there's a low ROI on relationships. She hasn't met the man who can keep up with her anyway. Until…him.

Tech mogul Maverick Bell is a dilemma wrapped in an exquisitely tailored suit and knee-melting charm. From their first charged glance at the summer's hottest party, Hendrix feels like she’s met her match. Only he can’t be. Mav may be the first to make her feel this seen and desired and appreciated, but he’s the last one she can have. Forbidden fruit is the juiciest, and this man is off limits if she plans to stay the course she’s set for herself.

But when Maverick gives chase—pursuing her, spoiling her, understanding her—is it time to let herself have something more?

💭 T H O U G H T S

I completely devoured Books 1 and 2 in the Skyland series last year, so Can't Get Enough was definitely one of my most anticipated romances releasing in 2025. From the moment, Kennedy Ryan hinted at Hendrix's mother having Alzheimer's, it's this story that I have been waiting for. Ryan's note at the beginning details her personal connection and the research that went into creating a realistic picture of living with the disease.

Told in dual POV, this story covers a lot of ground, both literally (flying from one place to the next continuously) and figuratively. Hendrix and Maverick's chemistry instantly leapt off the page, and even though it has elements of a forbidden romance, I never found that aspect overly believable given their age and situation.

While Hendrix's character is fierce, independent, and dynamic, she also felt different from the previous books and lacked the depth of development I was craving. I absolutely loved Ryan including a woman who is child free by choice within this group of friends, there is so much more room for this trope in romance and hopefully this can be a shift in the narrative. Maverick's character was fine, yet I also found he lacked depth.

There are two central plot lines underneath the romance and it often felt like two different stories rather than one seamless novel. The plot featuring her mother disappears entirely for a good chunk of the book and reappears at the later point, which felt a little clunky. I also really missed the girls' (Hendrix, Soledad, and Yasmin’s) sisterhood. It is their bond that really drew me to the series to start with and it took a backseat in this one.

Overall, Can't Get Enough is a filled with desire and lust along with real life issues, however, it just didn't hold the same emotional depth as the previous two books. I was really looking forward to the Alzheimer's thread, and while it was done very well, book 3 ended up being my least favourite of the trilogy. And left me wanting something more for Hendrix.

Obsessed is an Understatement — A Perfect Finale!

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a romance that grabs me by the heart and doesn’t let go. This book did exactly that! I gave it a perfect rating because it was everything I could have wanted.

Hendrix, or “Hen,” is a powerhouse. She’s juggling so much: running a business that helps black women who are entrepreneurs, managing clients, and caring for her mother, who has Alzheimer’s. Love isn’t on her priority list, but fate has other plans when she crosses paths with Maverick. Their connection is instant, intense, and undeniable from the moment they meet. But love comes with choices; for Hendrix, that means facing sacrifices she might not be ready to make.

And then there’s Maverick. Mav is the blueprint. He is the ultimate “if he could, he would” man. He never tries to dim Hendrix’s light or stand in the way of her dreams. Instead, he’s the one pushing her to make them a reality. His devotion is unmatched.

This book was the perfect way to close out the series. It delivered all the emotion, romance, and depth I was hoping for. If you love a hero who worships his woman, a heroine who fights for herself, and a love story that feels real and raw, this book is for you.

Kennedy Ryan does it again! Can’t Get Enough, the third installment in the Skyland series, is an emotional powerhouse that blends love, loss, and resilience with Ryan’s signature depth and authenticity. What sets her storytelling apart is the way she infuses real-world issues into the fabric of her characters’ lives—not as background noise, but as integral parts of their journeys. From racial justice to healthcare disparities, every theme is explored with care, making the story feel both personal and universally relevant. Hendrix’s journey, in particular, is a deeply moving portrayal of caregiving, highlighting the challenges and sacrifices that come with supporting an aging loved one while juggling personal ambitions and relationships.

Ryan’s ability to capture life’s messy, beautiful realities is on full display here. Hendrix’s experiences as a middle-aged, successful Black woman navigating career pressures, friendships, romance, and family obligations feel incredibly authentic. The portrayal of dementia’s impact is especially powerful—there’s a gut-wrenching scene between Hendrix and her mother that is so raw, so painfully real, it feels like you’re in the room with them. Ryan doesn’t just tell a story; she makes you live it. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the Skyland series, Can’t Get Enough is a fitting and unforgettable conclusion. If you haven’t picked it up yet, you’re missing out!

I loved the other two books in the series but this one missed the mark for me. The drama between Hen, Mav, and Zere was too much for me. The side drama between Skipper and Bolt was unnecessary.

I actually started at the beginning of this series to properly review this book. I will say Kennedy Ryan's books are getting better and better. Of the three in this series, I enjoyed Hendrix's story the best. Find a man strong enough to break down the wall of independence that she has built was a fresh twist in romance books. As hard as her mom's medical fate was to read, it also brought a refreshing bit to the story. The book flowed easily and I couldn't put it down until the end.

Kennedy Ryan continues to push the boundaries of what “romance” as a genre can mean. With the third installment of the Skyland Sisters series, we see Hendrix stand in her own completeness while opening herself up to the possibility of love. Her story is as emotionally complex as her sisters’, with the plot taking us from navigating caregiving for a loved one with Alzheimer’s to making choices between being loved and independent. The characters have depth and nuance, and the story is perfectly paced (with plenty of spice!)

On a personal note, it’s clear how much research Ryan did on the experience of people living with dementia and their families. As a speech therapist specializing in working with exactly this population, it was refreshing (and heart-wrenching) to see my patients’ stories accurately reflected on the pages. Even the smallest details were well thought out. And while dementia is not a monolith - everyone’s experience is different - I appreciated accurate representation of a singular experience in a field of often misleading, dementia literature. Can’t Get Enough might just be my favorite book of the year! Thank you, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an advanced copy of this book!

We're living in a golden age of romance, and Kennedy Ryan is one of our most vital voices. When you pick up a Kennedy Ryan novel, you receive more than a love story—you get a persistent, gentle nudge toward believing in your own greatness, your worthiness of joy and love, until you reach the final page ready to dismantle systems of oppression.

Can't Get Enough concludes the Skyland trilogy with the story of Hendrix Barry, a woman who embodies success on her own terms. She runs a thriving business, maintains deep friendships, and belongs to a loving family. Yet beneath her polished exterior, Hendrix faces the challenge many women in their prime confront: caring for an aging parent while maintaining her hard-won career success.

Enter Maverick Bell, a tech mogul who sees Hendrix completely—her ambition, her heart, her struggles. Their connection burns with the confident passion that comes with maturity and the conviction that their hearts are leading them exactly where they need to be. Their romance feels revolutionary in its honesty and refusal to sacrifice either character's dreams on the altar of conformity.

What makes Kennedy's work exceptional is her ability to balance social commentary with heat that practically melts the pages. This book touches subjects that resonate deeply—caretaking responsibilities, professional ambition, forbidden attraction—while never losing sight of the love story at its core.

Reading this book, I felt seen in ways mainstream media rarely accomplishes. One medical emergency scene mirrored an experience I recently had with a loved one so closely that I had to pause reading. This recognition—this understanding of our lives—is why Kennedy's work resonates with such power.

The entire Skyland trilogy offers this gift of recognition. Each book presents characters navigating complex lives with grace, determination, and an unwillingness to settle for less than they deserve in love or in life.

If you haven't picked up this series yet, consider this your sign to practice self-care and treat yourself. These books remind us that our struggles deserve witness, our ambitions deserve support, and our hearts deserve partners who match our fire.

I adore kennedy ryan and the emotion she brings to romance, and I love this series.

However this one fell a little flat for me, I didn’t feel the emotion as much as her previous books, but the characters were my favorite part!

The story was engaging and I still found myself enjoying it most of the time, the middle lagged a little bit for me but overall it was a quick read with a hot romance plot!
