This is the third book in the Rule Breakers series, however I didn’t read the first two but I don’t feel like I missed anything. The story flowed well. Zander and Erin seemed like a likable couple. I’m still not sure if the Mother rescue was a set up for Erin’s money.

A story about lost love, intrigue and rekindling that love always has my attention. “Want It” sounded purestdelightawardinteresting and I hadn’t read any of the other books in the Rule Breakers series … was told that it could be read as a stand-alone … so I was looking forward to seeing where Ms. Chance took Erin and Zander.

A death brings Erin back into Zander’s life. He’s not happy about seeing the woman who took away all of his dreams, who broke his father’s heart and decimated his. But, she wants information and he’ll give it to her and get her out of his system once and for all. What starts off as a little revenge sex, turns into an adventure in Mexico and the realization that Erin was never far from his heart.

As for Erin, she comes with a lot of baggage – a mother that doesn’t know when to grow up and the guilt of what she did to Zander four years ago. Seeing him again only brings up feelings that are best left in the past. She’s worrisome, insecure and still in love with her high school sweetheart. But, her family comes first. Never imaging that Zander will not only give her the information she needs but help her in finding her mother, she finds herself in a strange country with the one man who has the power to destroy her.

I absolutely enjoyed the storyline. It was filled with action, some mystery and a little bit of love. But, for some reason, I could not feel the connection between Erin and Zander. Something was missing. He ran hot and cold – from hating Erin to loving her then back to hating her and convincing himself that it was just revenge for her past deeds. As for Erin, there was only so many times that you could say sorry for something that you thought was right in the past. Actually, she depressed me a little. Her insecurities and half-truths had me baffled. But, when they came together as one, the pages sizzled and worlds got rocked. In the end, once Zander understood the why’s and who’s, he became the understanding, loving man that I thought he had in him but didn’t show throughout the story.
