Nox has always been a character I was interested in learning more about, and I really enjoyed continuing to see the characters from the first two books in this one as well. There was only one spicy scene in this book (which feels a bit different from what I expected), but I don't think it was a bad thing to have this book focus so heavily on the plot. I was definitely motivated to finish this one quickly to see what would happen. Thanks to netgalley and Berkley romance for this ARC in exchange for honest review.

I love this series so much. I'm a huge Katee Robert fan. I love that she has such wonderful character representation. And what's not to like about hot pirates, vampires, and other magical creatures? Rhetorical question. Get this series in your life.

This was really fun. It was plot heavy with only one spicy scene which is not Katee’s usual I feel, but I loved it. My favorite of the series!

I like this world a lot. The overall story is really good, and I will continue the series if Katee writes more. I just could have used a bit more fleshing out of the romance in this one. It felt a bit lacking especially with Nox and Bastian. I wanted a better resolution of their previous relationship.

I was completely enthralled by Rebel in the Deep! The emotional depth of Nox's character, especially their tumultuous relationship with the noble Lord Bastian, kept me hooked. I loved how Katee Robert masterfully wove together elements of fantasy, romance, and adventure to create a story that was both thrilling and heartwarming. The tension between Nox, Bastian, and Siobhan added layers of complexity to the plot, and I found myself deeply invested in their mission to rescue Bastian. I particularly enjoyed the balance and the action-packed moments with the more intimate, emotional scenes. Nox's internal struggles and their journey to reconcile their feelings for Bastian and Siobhan were beautifully portrayed. The stakes were high, not just for the rebellion, but for the characters' hearts as well, making the story even more compelling.

Katee Robert's storytelling is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a mix of adventure, romance, and complex characters. I can't wait to see what she writes next!

4.5/5 rounded up

We’ve finally reached the end of the Crimson Sails series and I loved every second of it.

This book followed Nox, Siobhan, and Bastian as they navigated leading the rebellion and past relationships mixed with current feelings. Since the moment Nox was introduced in the earlier books, I knew I was going to love them. They’re flirty, sassy, and take no shit. As soon as they took over the ship, I was cheering them on. Seeing them get a book where they get not just one but two amazing and supportive partners made me so happy. On top of that, getting to see these three fight to keep not only the people they care about but everyone safe was so amazing. They put so much into the fight and sacrificed a lot, but in the end they finally got to start picking what they wanted for themselves (including the three of them being together after pining for so long).

I’m so happy I got to follow this series and the characters I loved from the moment they were introduced. I loved how it ended and will be going back to reread this series many times in the future.

2.5/5 Stars

Thank you to Berkley romance for providing me with a free arc to read and review.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and Katee Robert is one of my favorite authors of all time but this one didn’t work for me. I didn’t care for the characters and I didn’t believe the romance at all. The tension failed to work and made it feel like these characters didn’t care for each other and also meant that I didn’t believe the story of their relationships prior to this book. It didn’t feel like the nonbinary character and mmc had cared for each other for 14 year but weren’t together and it didn’t feel like the mmc and fmc had been together for 10 years. I liked the plot of this one and enjoyed how it wrapped up the story which is why I didn’t dnf it. This book starts right after book 2 and I really recommend reading these in order for the best experience. This book also is mainly plot very little spice, definitely not what I expected from Katee Robert’s title but the one spicy scene that stands out was decent. I thought it used magic in a very unique way that I hadn’t seen before and it was cool.

I still am excited for whatever katee robert writes next but sadly this one didn’t work for me. I am again very grateful to berkley for providing me with an arc and I hope to be able to review more from them in the future.

Rebel in the Deep was such a wonderful conclusion to this series. I love how Katee Robert manages to balance lighthearted romance with letting us see that the characters will face struggles ahead, that not everything wraps up with a perfect little bow, but that they've made a damn good start. Getting to spend more time with Evelyn and Bowen, and Lizzie and Maeve, was an absolute treat and made for a very satisfying end to the series.

Katee Robert has done it again! Yet another spicy, sizzling romance with an action-packed plot that will have you flipping the pages until the very nail-biting end! Loving this series and already eager for the next one!

I've enjoyed every book in this series so far, but this one is probably my favourite one. It was so good & in typical Katee fashion, the characters were done so well. It didn't feel as spicy in this book as Katee's other books but I still ate it up and enjoyed all of the characters in all their glory in this book.

I need Katee to write more fantasy because oh my days, do I love these books!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC!

I don't know if there will be any more books in this series but if not, I think this one was a solid finale. Not that I wouldn't read more but KR has some other series that I wouldn't be upset about getting the next book(s) to read from.

Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)

-m/f/nb fantasy romance
-forced proximity
-second chance
-it's always been you

A great mix of plot, angst, glimpses of our favorite characters from the other books in the series and adventures on the high seas

Finally!! I have been waiting for Katee Robert to write this type of a masterpiece full of plot and not just full of smut with minimal plot

I absolutely loved this conclusion to the Crimson Sails series. Nox has been so ridiculously interesting since the start of the series and I'm so glad that they finally got their book and their happily ever after. Katee Robert is such a tremendous writer of romance, but they especially excel in writing big conflict that will change the world they're writing in. This book was at once a wonderful love story between three, beautifully flawed individuals (who doesn't love a triad where there's two second chance love stories and a decade long attraction?), but it also was an extremely well done ensemble story, bringing together all of the couples and beloved characters from the previous books. I loved the way the big bads got taken down in this book and the incredibly romantic and human way the trio of heroes were drawn back together in the end. I'm so sad that this series is over, but as always, I'm so excited to see what Katee Robert writes next.

A solid ending to this series. There is way more plot then sex and I could have used a little more relationship building. Much more of an adventure book then a romance but a good adventure.

Great end to the trilogy, felt this was more plot driven than the other two or indeed any of her books, loved it!

Thank you to Berkley Publishing for this eARC! I'm gonna eat up a Katee Robert book every time, point, blank, period. This was an incredible conclusion (?) to the Crimson Sails series and rightfully answers the tired question of a love triangle with the correct answer which is a throuple. There is a battle brewing and the stakes have never been higher and hearts have been broken but Siobhan and Bastian and Nox DESERVE to have them mended for each other. Threshold is safe in their hands and they are safe in each others and I'm gonna cry with joy.

This is definitely more plot driven than the other two books, and I think it has to be because it wraps everything up. It's a little hard when you introduce a new character and a new plot device but I thought it was a really interesting take on a mythology and a relationship.

Blood on the Tide remains my favourite of the trilogy, but I do think this was my second favourite. It was surprisingly plotty for a Katee Robert book, and in fact only had one sex scene.
