Katee Robert has done it again! Yet another spicy, sizzling romance with an action-packed plot that will have you flipping the pages until the very nail-biting end! Loving this series and already eager for the next one!
I've enjoyed every book in this series so far, but this one is probably my favourite one. It was so good & in typical Katee fashion, the characters were done so well. It didn't feel as spicy in this book as Katee's other books but I still ate it up and enjoyed all of the characters in all their glory in this book.
I need Katee to write more fantasy because oh my days, do I love these books!
Thank you NetGalley for an eARC!
I don't know if there will be any more books in this series but if not, I think this one was a solid finale. Not that I wouldn't read more but KR has some other series that I wouldn't be upset about getting the next book(s) to read from.
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)
-m/f/nb fantasy romance
-forced proximity
-second chance
-it's always been you
A great mix of plot, angst, glimpses of our favorite characters from the other books in the series and adventures on the high seas
Romantic. Sweet. Steamy. Stunning. And JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. Katee Robert can do no wrong. This series is so fun and I wish more people read it.
Finally!! I have been waiting for Katee Robert to write this type of a masterpiece full of plot and not just full of smut with minimal plot
I absolutely loved this conclusion to the Crimson Sails series. Nox has been so ridiculously interesting since the start of the series and I'm so glad that they finally got their book and their happily ever after. Katee Robert is such a tremendous writer of romance, but they especially excel in writing big conflict that will change the world they're writing in. This book was at once a wonderful love story between three, beautifully flawed individuals (who doesn't love a triad where there's two second chance love stories and a decade long attraction?), but it also was an extremely well done ensemble story, bringing together all of the couples and beloved characters from the previous books. I loved the way the big bads got taken down in this book and the incredibly romantic and human way the trio of heroes were drawn back together in the end. I'm so sad that this series is over, but as always, I'm so excited to see what Katee Robert writes next.
A solid ending to this series. There is way more plot then sex and I could have used a little more relationship building. Much more of an adventure book then a romance but a good adventure.
Great end to the trilogy, felt this was more plot driven than the other two or indeed any of her books, loved it!
Thank you to Berkley Publishing for this eARC! I'm gonna eat up a Katee Robert book every time, point, blank, period. This was an incredible conclusion (?) to the Crimson Sails series and rightfully answers the tired question of a love triangle with the correct answer which is a throuple. There is a battle brewing and the stakes have never been higher and hearts have been broken but Siobhan and Bastian and Nox DESERVE to have them mended for each other. Threshold is safe in their hands and they are safe in each others and I'm gonna cry with joy.
This is definitely more plot driven than the other two books, and I think it has to be because it wraps everything up. It's a little hard when you introduce a new character and a new plot device but I thought it was a really interesting take on a mythology and a relationship.
Blood on the Tide remains my favourite of the trilogy, but I do think this was my second favourite. It was surprisingly plotty for a Katee Robert book, and in fact only had one sex scene.
Like always, my love for Katee’s writing knows no bounds. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite series from them. Katee is the OG Smut Queen and I would die for them.
Katee Robert is a absolute goddess at what she does, and this book is no exception. Whenever she writes something I read it. This book is amazing!
Rebel in the Deep is the third book in the Crimson Sails series written by Katee Robert.
Expected date of publication: May 20, 2025
*Throuple/Poly relationship
*Kidnapping/Battle situation
*Paranormal characters
It is always interesting reading how three people come together to build a relationship. Add in some paranormal aspects and the story gets even more interesting!
This book doesn’t have as much spice as a typical Katee Robert title, definitely more focused on the storyline rather than the spicy scenes in this series. There is a lot of fighting the enemies and escaping stressful situations, but a very interesting read with great characters!
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this title!

This is stormy, emotional, and wildly satisfying finale in The Crimson Sails series. The chemistry here isn’t just palpable; it’s electric. Robert masterfully weaves passion, betrayal, and vulnerability into the narrative, creating a dynamic that’s as unpredictable as it is irresistible. The world-building in this series has always been incredible, but this final instalment takes it up a notch. Every twist and turn feels alive with danger, emotion, and the unrelenting push of rebellion. The tension simmers on every page, and the payoff is deeply rewarding. All in all, finale is everything you could hope for, and more.
Robert’s writing is fierce and gripping, with high stakes that keep you hooked. The action is intense, but it’s the emotional depth of the characters that truly makes this story unforgettable. The complicated dynamic between them adds a layer of complexity that is both heart-pounding and heartbreaking. Overall, a perfect conclusion to the story.
