I read it in a day! I’ve been waiting for Cole and Ginger’s story since Nash and Cece’s was over. I love how there was so much more to their friendship going on behind the scenes in the previous two books that came to light in this one. I’m so happy Mable finally has a mom she can count on now! Fingers crossed there will be a fourth book in this series because I need to know why Olivia had bite marks on her neck 😂

The couple we’ve all been waiting for! Ginger and Cole were such a simple, sweet love story about friends becoming more in an unlikely way. The chemistry between them has been noticeable since book one, but they certainly didn’t disappoint whatsoever. I’m rating this book 3.75 stars, purely because I rated Holding the Reins 4 and nothing can beat that one for me (sorry!) But I really did love this book a lot.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I will say the lack of chapter numbers was a bit strange, but something I could get over and did not ruin the story. That also goes for the minor capitalization and punctuation errors. I loved Mabel's and Ginger's relationship and even wanted more! The epilogue 7 years in the future definitely helped to imagine what their world turned out to be but I just wanted more! I wanted to see everything from more of their day to day to even Mabel finding out she will be a big sister. But all that being said I really did enjoy this book! Cole + Ginger = <3
PS - I just hope there are more books in the series! Love the little community in them!

This was such a fun read! I had an amazing time reading this! A detailed review is already up on goodreads and i'll be posting another one on my bookstagram tomorrow!

This book is yet another great one from author Paisley Hope.
True friends to lovers story, single dad troupe, secret accidental marriage, secret pinning. Fabulous. I devoured every word like it was my dinner.
The kids add extra layer to the story. Kids in books are always hilarious.
The story is so good. I love how the MMC and FMC are completely oblivious as to how they feel about each other but everyone else sees it. Until they so see it and sparks fly.
5/5 stars
3/5 spice (But dang was it good spice!)

This was my first Paisley Hope book, and it did not disappoint. I was worried about jumping right into the end (or it could be middle-there might be another book?) of a series and had no problems getting sucked right into the Silver Pines world.
If friends to lovers, best friends’ brother, or single dad, is your jam then this should be a good one for you. I’m sure you could add more but that’s the meat of it. You’ve got Cole, the town sheriff and single dad and Ginger, a teacher and best friend to Cole’s sister. They’ grew up together but became better friends when Cece, (Cole’s sister) went away to college. If one of them needed an advice, a ride, anything- they were always there to support each other. Fast forward to present day- a group trip to Vegas for a for Cece’s wedding, changes everything.

“I know without a doubt that when my lungs pull in their last breath, my final thoughts will be of you”
yes yes yes! this is my favorite Silver Pines novel so far, which is saying a lot because I LOVED the first two. I adore everything about Ginger, Cole, and — of course — Mabel! all the anticipation that was built-up in the previous novels absolutely delivers in Riding the High! and the spice y’all?! yes, please! Paisley Hope just gets better and better!

This book was so fun! I was giggling, swooning, emotional, laughing out loud, and had my eyes glued to the book the whole time! Paisley really brought out all the big feelings with this one and I loved every page of it.
Ginger and Cole have been friends forever, and have also been crushing on each other for a long time but with Cole being Ginger’s best friend’s brother, the “we can’t!”, forbidden romance aspect was strong in this one. I loved their easy and supportive dynamic and it’s clear that these two know each other incredibly well, and “just friends” was never going to work for them. They’re truly a match made in heaven, with their flirty banter and the fact that they both give as got as they get. There was so much chemistry and tension and I was rooting for them to just give in and admit their feelings for one another.
When Cole is appointed sheriff, Ginger helps out with his daughter Mabel (who is the most adorable kid ever) and moves in with them to nanny for her. I’ve yet to read a single dad x nanny romance I don’t like, because it hits every time! And this one was especially good because they were friends too and there was so much intimacy and support in their relationship. The fact that they had drunkenly gotten married in Vegas before and were keeping that a secret was so fun and gave us some seriously swoony “my wife” moments. I loved Ginger and Cole’s romantic relationship from friends to lovers, but also how they became a little family with Mabel. They both have their own struggles and baggage, but the fact that they already know almost everything about each other due to years of close friendship was amazing to read. Conflicts had such a different feel because of it and I loved their healthy communication.
I also loved the community aspect, especially with the whole Silver Pines crew. Reading about characters from previous books and seeing what they’re up to was one of my favorite parts because it means we never truly have to leave them. I adored Ginger’s friendship with the girls, the whole Ashby family dynamic, and I also loved seeing Cole grow into the man he always wanted to be. There was so much vulnerability in their characters, and they both had so many more layers to them that we just had to see through their eyes.
And the spice! Dare I say it was some of Paisley’s best work yet? It fit into the story naturally and seeing a lot of pent up frustration and tension snap is always so hot. No notes!
Paisley has truly created an amazing world and community with this series, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

After the build up in books 1 and 2 I was so so so excited to read about Cole and Ginger! I knew all the tension was going to be explosive and it was definitely worth the wait. I loved Cole and how dedicated he was to his family and his friendship with Ginger. Ginger was hilarious and her carefree personality was perfect for Cole. I loved how their story started (and ended). Cole’s family made the story even better and I can’t wait for more!

This is the first book I've read by Paisley Hope, and now I'm completely obsessed with her writing. I couldn't put this book down!
Cole and Ginger are two characters who grabbed my attention right from the start. Their connection (something no one else even knew existed) makes them perfect for each other.
Their story is light yet filled with tension, and you can see how they can’t stop thinking about each other. When they find themselves stuck in a marriage that happened after one too many drinks in Vegas, living, so close only makes it harder for them to hide—or resist—what they feel for each other.
Cole, oh my god, the man you are! One second, he’s the sweetest guy ever (seriously, I didn’t expect him to be that sweet), and the next, he’s saying the filthiest things and making my Kindle overheat.
Ginger is exactly the kind of FMC I adore, quick with her sassy comebacks and never missing a chance to tease Cole.
And I can’t forget to mention the relationship between Ginger and Mabel—I loved every interaction between them and the team they make with Cole!
I lost track of how many highlights I made while reading, and this book has officially earned a spot on my favorites list.
Thank you so much, Dell and NetGalley, for sending me this ARC!

Cole and Ginger are my new favorite Paisley Hope couple. Secret friends to secretly married in a Vegas oopsie wedding to lovers? Best friend’s brother? Single dad with a cute kid? I was sat. I’ve also just always loved Ginger in this series, so I was thrilled to read her book.
I loved Cole and Ginger’s friendship most of all. They found understanding without judgement in each other first and foremost, and despite the underlying attraction and sexual tension between them, there was something so pure about it. I had such a genuine feeling that the two of them were destined to be vitally important to each other however that may look for them. The friendship between them only strengthened the romantic bond between them when that shift happened. Add in the way Ginger bonded with Mabel and their complete love story was beautiful.
It wouldn’t be a Paisley Hope novel if it wasn’t spicy, and she definitely delivers the heat yet again with Cole and Ginger. These two may not have been celibate for their entire friendship, but they’ve been repressed where it counts (with each other in case that’s unclear) and they more than make up for it when they’re ready for it. I also thought the catalyst for their breaking point was so well done. It was a situation that showed how deeply entrenched they’d become in each other’s lives.
This was truly such a delight to read. Thank you to NetGalley and Dell for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very sweet romance between Ginger and Cole. I thought they matched each other well. I usually don’t like single dad romances, but Mabel was cute and Cole was not hung up in anyway on his ex (or have any deep love of her).
That being said, authors really need to stop opening romance books (ESPECIALLY when they are already in each other’s lives and “it’s always supposed to be you”) with the MMC having sex with OW. And then mention that other woman (and all the other women he’s slept with since he’s a manwhore) over and over again. It made Ginger look a little pathetic waiting for him as he slept around… everyone was telling her to be careful/move on (including her mom, his ex-wife, and her friend Liv).

Ginger Danforth has been in love with her best friend’s older brother Cole for as long as she can remember. Longtime friends, he was also her rock when her best friend moved away, the guy she called for a ride home when she drank too much or when she needed someone to talk to. In turn, she’s always been there for him as he’s gotten divorced and is raising his daughter basically solo. There’s always been an attraction there but after one kiss years ago, she realized it was never going to happen and did her best to tamp those feelings down. A drunken night in Vegas though, turns into a marriage that doesn’t bode well for either of them — Ginger because of her family’s expectations and Cole because of his newly elected position as the local Sheriff. They agree to keep it a secret until they can get a divorce while simultaneously having Ginger move in for the summer to help Cole out with his daughter. The close proximity brings their feelings for each other to the forefront but the expectation was always that at the end of summer, they would be over? Can they figure out their feelings before it’s too late?
I’m loving Paisley Hope — she has a vibe similar to Elsie Silver whom is a favorite. Her books are thoughtful and heartfelt with well-written steam! Ginger is wonderfully free-spirited and the exact perfect opposite of Cole, who has everything in order and really craves control in his life. I loved these two together!
Thanks to Dell via Netgalley for this ARC.

WOOHOO!! Another perfect installment to this series and little town I love so much full of characters that are lively and wonderful. I’ve been WAITING for this couple since reading about them and their banter in book one. And it does not disappoint.
Quick trope/vibes rundown:
- single dad
- best friends brother - sisters best friend
- 3 year age gap
- secret besties
- something happens that’s a tipping point for the entire book that I shall not spoil for you

Y’all I knew Cole & Ginger’s story was going to hit hard. And let me tell you Mrs. Paisley Hope didn’t not disappoint. Cole & Ginger’s story was everything I wanted and more. If I could give this book 1,000 stars I would. But sadly Goodreads only lets me do 5. So of course we are giving this amazing book the highest Goodreads allows. Reading Cole, Ginger & Mabes story goes so much deeper than we could ever imagine. The three of them becoming a team and falling in love was truly extraordinary.
Now let’s talk about the book tropes used. First off, we’ve got one of my favorites friends to lovers. The history between Ginger & Cole was unmatched. I also loved that everyone else knew they’ve always had a thing for each other except themselves. Second trope, the accidental marriage. Also don’t come for me claiming spoiler it’s literally in the description. But I digress, the way that marriage was handled was so different compared to other accidental marriage tropes. And honestly I wish more books would do it this way.
Overall, if you can’t already tell I highly recommend this book and its earlier books in the series. Like seriously if you haven’t read Paisley yet what are you doing go out and read her books. Lastly, big thank you to NetGalley & Dell publishing for providing an arc of this book!

I honestly don't know how to explain how much I love this book and the characters.
The flashback that starts this book out is honestly chef's kiss because it really sets the scene and tone of the relationship between Cole and Ginger. The reader is instantly pulled into their friendship and their dynamics. You want to scream from the rooftops that Cole needs to see what's right in front of him.
Ginger has had a crush on Cole since she was young, but she knows she needs to move on from that crush because he'll never love her the way that she loves him. But when they go to Vegas for a bachelor/bachelorette party, and end up spending time together, they're pushed even closer. And one night, after a lot of drinks, they both wake up with a wedding ring on their finger. So, they choose to fake it till they make it, and pretend that Ginger is only going to be his nanny for the summer and watch his daughter, Mabel.
I felt so connected to these characters almost instantly. You can tell they are so in love with each other, but they both refuse to admit it. The angst that this book gives... I was literally in love. Like shoutout to the shaving scene. And without giving a spoiler, who needs a secret tattoo when you have a man like Cole? He'll just go the extra mile 🤭
Paisley gave every single character depth and made the reader actually fall into the story. It felt like a friend watching their friends go through life. I lost myself in the book and the world of Silver Pines Ranch.
And don't even get me started on that epilogue. It really was the perfect ending for them.
Thank you to Random House, Net Galley & Paisley for the ARC 🤍
tropes:
- accidental marriage
- small-town sheriff
- unrequited love
- single dad x nanny
- small town
- friends to lovers

I absolutely love and adore Paisely Hope! This is my third book I have read of hers and she is phenomenal. The character chemistry and evolving storyline is great

THIS BOOK.
I fell in love with Paisley's writing when I arc read Holding the Reins. And this book sent me right back to the feeling I had when I read that book.
Friends to lovers, with top tier banter, and so much angst. I will 100% probably reread this before it officially releases in the US and I make edits. I read this in ONE sitting because I truly could not put it down.
Ginger and Cole were absolute perfection. And for all of the people who don't want to read this because "it's always been you except for all those women I slept with before"... maybe read the book first.
Cole and Ginger genuinely built so a true friendship through his divorce. And as all close relationships... things just finally came to a point that it was either addressed as more, or it was going to combust. And combust it did, in all of the BEST ways.
I adored every single thing about this book. Paisely didn't disappoint. Mabel was such a beautiful and precious addition. And it didn't feel like there was a kid just to have a plot.
I adored watching Ginger just finally get everything that was already in her heart.

🌟 Riding The High by Paisley Hope 🌟
It's finally Cole and Ginger's (and Mabel's) book! If you love the accidental Vegas marriage trope mixed with a slow burn "let's stay married because it's fake... but wait, is it?" storyline, Riding The High is a book that will have you hooked from the first page! Set against the charming backdrop of the Silver Pines Ranch, this third installment delivers steamy chemistry, small town vibes, and a heartfelt exploration of love, family, and identity. Hot cowboys, cute kids, meddling families, the inevitable will they won't they tug of war? Oh, sign me up.
💍 Ginger and Cole's drunken Vegas adventure kicks off with a marriage that neither of them planned nor remembers clearly. But instead of rushing to annul their vows, they strike a deal: stay married for ninety days. Ginger needs to protect her congressman father's reelection campaign, while Cole needs to keep his new job as the town's sheriff and stay squeaky clean. As Ginger moves into Cole's world—becoming a summer nanny for his adorable daughter—their "fake marriage" starts feeling dangerously real. The push and pull between their sense of duty and undeniable attraction keeps the tension sizzling! Throw in the fact that they have been friends forever but have always fought their feelings, this was my favorite in the Silver Pines Ranch series!
Cole and Ginger's transition from friends to accidental spouses is filled with electric moments that leap off the page. Their dynamic is equal parts playful, emotional, and steamy—think truth or dare with consequences!
Can we talk about Cole? A responsible, swoony single dad with a protective streak? YES, PLEASE. His softer side, especially with his daughter, adds depth to his character, making him feel like the perfect blend of alpha hero and devoted family man. Ginger's arc is fantastic. She seems like the congressman's perfect daughter, bound by expectations, but evolves into someone who embraces her wild side and fights for what she truly wants, with the help of both Cole and Mabel. Her adventurous spirit makes her so relatable! I love the small town setting and the meddling family members who just KNOW these two belong together.
Paisley Hope perfectly captures that intoxicating mix of humor, spice, and heart with Riding The High. If you're into tropes like accidental marriage, fake to real romance, friends to lovers, and single dad/nanny, this book has your name written all over it. The Silver Pines Ranch series continues to deliver the perfect mix of swoon and small town sweetness, and this one is a must read for romance lovers.
Perfect for readers who love spicy western romances, small town settings, accidental marriages with all the feels, and irresistible single dads and the nanny trope too!
Are you ready to see if Cole and Ginger's wild Vegas mistake might just lead to forever? Well, prepare to ride the emotional highs! 😉🌟
Thank you to NetGalley, Paisley Hope, and Dell for the eARC of this book.

I was waiting for this one!!!!! From the glimpses we have gotten of Ginger and “Law Daddy” Cole for the previous books, I knew these two would be good together and they did not disappoint. The chemistry between them was HOT and Cole is one possessive MMC. 🥵 Also, sweet little Mabel was such a wonderful addition to the story.
My only issue with this story was that while it ended up being a great friends to lovers, “it’s always been you” story, Cole was painted as a man-wh*re so often that when it went from him sleeping around to him being obsessed with Ginger, it seemed a little sudden. But they really did end up being perfect for each other so all was well in the end.
Thanks NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for an ARC!!!
