I always enjoy a friends to lovers trope and this book was no exception. This was a very cute read with so much banter and cuteness. My favorite thing was seeing Ginger and Mabel’s relationship, they are so cute.

Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing Ballantine for the arc of this book, I really appreciate it.

What a knockout! This is the third book in the Silver Pines series and it is by far my favorite book out so far! The single dad trope will do it for me every single time and i am in awe of Cole. He is a devoted dad who will do anything for the ones he loves and i find it remarkable how swoony he was as a dad but also with Ginger. I will read anything Paisley Hope writes!

I love friends to lovers tropes and this one was no exception!! So good!! I had high expectations after reading Holding the Reins and Training the Heart and was not let down!! I read this one in a few sittings and after reading can say that Cole and Ginger’s story is my favorite! I love the interconnected characters and how Paisley Hope weaves added details about the other characters into the story surrounding the MMC and FMC. Paisley Hope is one of my newly discovered authors of 2025 and I can't wait to read more by her!

THIS. BOOK. ATE. I have been dying for Cole and Ginger’s story since they graced the pages of Holding the Reins and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Everything about their relationship is absolute perfection. The banter. The chemistry. The friendship. The sexual chemistry and tension. The vibes. All immaculate. I was actually giddy when they got drunk and accidentally married in Vegas because it was perfection. Perfection I tell you.
Good lord, Cole Ashby is a 10 y’all. The Ashby love them some hand necklaces and Law Daddy can cuff me any day of the week. But beyond that- Ginger’s relationship with Mabel? Hand to heart, had me tearing up multiple times. I loved that she was like an instamommy for our little gal Mabes. So Adorable. Hands down, Cole and Ginger are my favorite Silver Pines couple. Absolutely obsessed with this whole series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This is my favorite from this series so far! I love the banter, the characters, and the tropes, even though they’re cheesy. This book has all the good tropes.

The reason I took away a star is mainly because the storyline with Gemma just gives me the ick. She’s clearly written to be the antagonist who can’t get her life together, and I don’t love the whole storyline with her. It just doesn’t sit well for some reason.

I came for the banter and stayed for the single dad. To be honest, Paisley Hope is a bit raunchy for me. I like spicy books and am certainly no prude, but these are over the top. I enjoyed the story, but also - Mabel is the absolute worst name for a child character.

I enjoyed the way it all wrapped up in the end. I think she's setting up for a fourth in the series, but I think I'm good stopping here.

I had the honor of reading this book so early and I could not feel more thankful! I was waitinggg for Cole and Ginger because I just loved their banter in the other books. They did not disappoint!

Cole and Ginger have a unique friendship. Ginger is best friends with Cole’s sister, Cece, and over the years they’ve developed a sort of secret friendship. They take care of each other when needed and can always rely on each other. One weekend in Vegas leads to Cole and ginger tying the knot after a drunken night and now they have to figure out how to deal with the consequences. Deciding they don’t want to make too many waves, they decide to stay married for a couple of months and have ginger move in to help take care of Cole’s daughter, Mabel. But both of them have been pining after the other for so long that this situation brings them closer together. I loved this twist on the “it was always you” trope and seeing their relationship develop from best friends to wayyyy more so naturally. 💗

Cole & Ginger are EVERYTHING TO ME. & mabes😭 this book couldn’t have been any better. I know everyone that reads them is going to love this so much. Paisley ate and left no crumbs writing riding the high. THANK you so much for accepting me to read this early. I will never shut up about silver pines.

I don't know how Paisley Hope comes up with the perfect characters, but she has done it again! I thought Training the Heart was my favorite with Wade (Sarge) and Ivy. Cole (Law Daddy) and Ginger (Vixen) just took the top spot. I loved and ate this whole story up. The relationship development for Cole and Ginger was perfection. I adore Mabel and her relationship with Ginger. The Ashby family texts and the Not Angels texts were so funny. I seriously just want to live in Laurel Creek and be apart of this group. I cannot wait for everyone else to enjoy this story as much as I did when it is published on May 06, 2025.

Thank you to Netgalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Dell, and Paisley Hope for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

ARC provided by netgalley and author in exchange for an honest review.

The last thing I expected was to get this ARC through netgalley. I have been a fan since Nash in book 1 then Wade in book 2.

But finally we get Cole and Ginger!! The tension and trying to figure out this friendly in the past 2 books finally is here.

Cole is finally the new town Sheriff while playing single parent to Mabel. He is known for being a player and Ginger loves reminding him of his escapades. Ginger is a teacher and Congressman's daughter that is looking for a fun escape. These two have been "hidden" friends for years. Love giving each other sh*t but also being the person they can lean on.

But what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. After a drunk night, they find themselves married and trying to figure out what do. They are giving themselves 90 days to keep this a secret because an annulment isn't an option. What they didn't expect was falling in love with their PIC.

The banter between these two is hilarious, sassy, and spicy. The push and pull finally ends with a f*ck it moment that had me cheering. The references to Brooklyn 99 added a nice touch to the book.

Cole Ashby the man that you are! I’m going to eat up a single dad cowboy romance every time. I loved this book with everything in me! Each book just gets better and better in this series. Ginger was my fav character in the first two books so I knew this one would be my fav and it was incredible! If you loved heartless by Elsie Silver you need to read this! I’ve given 5⭐️to all the books in this series and Paisley Hope has become a fav author! Her writing has the best banter, heart, sass and spice. This book will pull at your heartstrings and make you laugh. I loved Ginger and Cole’s connection along with her relationship with Mable. Can’t wait for the next book! Thank you netgalley and Paisley Hope!

Honestly….Cole Ashby is the MMC we all need.

This is my favorite book of the series by far! Ginger with her sass and being such a strong FMC is just what every Law Daddy needs.
Her and Mabel’s relationship as a side story in this book was everything.

If you want an accidental marriage between two friends who turn to lovers with a dash of handcuff play then look no further!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this book!

Friends to lovers with a side of pining and a single dad I love it! I enjoyed how the main characters interacted and didn’t wait too long before confessing some sort of feelings! I also liked the drama didn’t center around breaking the couple up either. Would recommend to a friend!

This was my third Silver Pines book and I think my favorite! I loved Ginger’s character in Training the Heart, and was so excited to see her get a happy ending.

Riding the High follows Ginger Danforth, a high school teacher who finally made it to summer break. On a joint bachelorette/bachelor trip to Las Vegas to celebrate CeCe and Nash (from Holding the Reins), Ginger finds herself very drunk and very married to newly appointed county sheriff and her best friend’s brother, Cole Ashby. With annulment off the table, Ginger and Cole hatch a plan to keep their secret nuptials under wraps. Ginger will stay with Cole and babysit his daughter Mabel for the summer, just long enough for Cole to make it through his probationary period and her father to be re-elected to Congress. How hard can “playing house” really be after years of repressed attraction?

Holy smokes! Talk about steamy! Paisley Hope did not hold back on this one. The pining, the tension, the banter? Sky high levels, let me tell you. I could feel it through the pages as Cole and Ginger worked through their emotions.

I loved the flashbacks to Ginger and Cole’s interactions as teenagers and would have loved even more of them. I feel like these flashbacks gave more depth to the characters and a better understanding of their complicated history.

As a side note: I loved Mabel! She was the sweetest character and I loved that both Ginger and Cole put her at the forefront.

All in all, this was a fun read with all the best tropes: friends to lovers; best friend’s older brother; single dad; secret wedding; and small town romance. Look for this one out in May!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dell for the ARC!

Freaking Cole and Ginger 😍🥵

I had been waiting for these 2 throughout the last two books and I was NOT disappointed! I loved getting a better look into their "secret friendship" - I felt those little details were all extremely important and played a huge part into the bigger picture of their relationship. The relationship between Mabel and Ginger was so carefully and beautifully written - it tugged every single heartstring.

Per usual with Paisleys books - the adults had me cracking up in every scene they were in. Always calling everyone out 😂

The entire book was just written with so much adoration for the characters & HEA was beyond deserved 💜 I love the was Paisley writes the family dynamic. When they found out "secrets" theres never judgement, just unwavering support and love. (& maybe a few I told you so's) lol

received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Random House Publishing Group, Ballentine, Paisley Hope, and NetGalley.

I have read everything Paisley Hope has written, and I couldn't wait to read this one. I was so ready for Cole and Ginger's story, and it did not disappoint. Paisley has a talent for telling stories that are sweet and spicy at the same time. I am a sucker for a friends to lovers romance, and combine that with a sister's best friend... I'm sat. She writes spice like no one else. Cole Ashby... yes ma'am. We love a law man with a dirty mouth. I can't wait to read the next book in the Silver Pines series.

I have always loved Cole and Gingers relationship in the other 2 books and was ecstatic to see just how amazing their relationship really is. How they have always been there for each other even as kids.

I love the friends to lover and the accidental Vegas wedding. The banter was amazing. I couldn't get enough. I had a hard time walking away from this story because I needed to know how this was all going to end, obviously happily.

The single dad aspect was done very well. It didn't have a ton of ex drama, some but not too much, which is nice to see. Mabels character is adorable and her friendship with Ginger is perfect.

This is by far my favorite in the series.

Ginger and Cole are absolutely irresistible together! Their chemistry makes for a delightful read, and the various tropes woven into their story only enhance it. The small-town setting creates a charming backdrop for their unexpected journey, especially when they find themselves in an accidental marriage that neither of them sees coming. The evolution of their relationship from close friends to romantic partners is beautifully portrayed, making the transition feel both genuine and heartwarming. I truly enjoyed every page of this book! Plus, the spice level throughout is fantastic, adding just the right amount of heat to their budding romance 🌶️.
