this series holds a special place in my heart. i loved it. i absolutely adore ginger and cole and loved seeing their journey from friends to lovers especially their banter!!! paisley’s writing style is so bingeable and enjoyable and i will forever read whatever she puts out!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! If you love a slow burn and best friend’s brother trope, this book is for you. I loved watching Ginger and Cole’s story unfold with a few twists and turns here and there. This book definitely has a decent amount of spice so keep that in mind but I love me some spice so I was hooked in.

~Friends to lovers
~Accidental marriage
~Best friend’s brother
~Single dad
~Small town romance
I love Paisley and I love all of these tropes but for some reason, this was a slightly disappointing read for me. I felt myself struggling to get through to the end. It was still a solid read; the smut was good & I giggled a few times. It just didn’t feel like anything different than what I’ve read recently. I loved Ginger’s relationship with Mabel & Cole’s observation of that. Even though this wasn't my favorite of this series, I would still read the rest of the series. Major thanks to Paisley, NetGalley & Random House!

The romance between Cole and Ginger is unmatched. The chemistry between them sizzles right off the page, filled with tension and sweet moments as they navigate their friendship, unspoken feelings, and the difficulties making hard decisions. The slow burn is done exceptionally well, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.
With Cole being a single dad, it adds a layer of depth and warmth to the story. His devotion to his daughter makes him an incredibly sympathetic and lovable character, while his cowboy roots add an authentic rural charm that appeals to fans of both contemporary romance and western settings. Ginger is firey and full of life, always pushing Cole to his absolute limits.
As the third book in a series, it builds on the previous novels. There are recurring characters with updates qnd continuing story lines. The whole series is phenomenal, but this one is my favorite.

Ginger and Cole's story was the one I was looking forward to the most, and I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint. A big difference that I found when reading the third book in comparison to the other two was that Paisley provided us with a great back story to the characters, which made me feel even more connected to them. I am a sucker for a friends to lovers story and this one was done so well. I loved the funny banter and flirting between Ginger and Cole, while simultaneously loving the spicy scenes - the scenes went from sweet to hot and I ate it up. Although I loved reading about Cole and Ginger, I loved reading about her and Mabel's story even more - the found family trope made my heart swell and I loved seeing Mabel trust Ginger and accept her as a mother figure in her life. I can't wait to see where this series continues to go. Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for the ARC.

4/5🌟 | 2/5🌶️
Single dad romance?! Say less. Ever since I read Holding the Reins, I have been dying to read Cole & Ginger's story! The banter and secret hate between those two always had me hoping for more and this book did not disappoint.
Cole was just doing what he can to be the best dad to his daughter Mable & after their accidental marriage in Vegas, Cole decides to move Ginger into his house for the summer so she can help take care of Mable and keep their secret marriage under wraps. It was so sweet watching Mable and Ginger's relationship grow the more time they spent together & I just adored the three of them as a little family. Their love and willingness to protect each other was so precious.
Cole & Ginger knew they had a strong connection from the beginning, but keep pushing it to the side because they didn't want it to affect the way things were. There was so much tension and pining during this book & I absolutely ate it up. The slow burn was so worth it!
Overall, I really enjoyed Cole, Ginger, and Mable's story & I will happily read anything Paisley Hope writes!
- accidental x secret marriage
- it was always you
- single dad
- “my wife” moments
- he’s the sheriff x she’s the nanny
- secret friends to lovers
- forced proximity

COLE AND GINGER ARE EVERYTHING!!!
first of all i did not expect to be accepted for this arc but the gods were on my side today 😭 i absolutely binged the hell out of it and don’t regret anything. cole and ginger were amazing and my favorite in the series as of right now!!
cole and ginger have had tension building longer than we’ve seen them on page and in this book, it finally snapped. this was one of my most anticipated reads because of their chemistry and it did NOT disappoint. cole is this grumpy playboy and ginger is best girl material 🥹 the way the marriage in vegas trope is going to do it for me everytime should be studied. they literally were WILDDD. i love the banter, everything was tit for tat for them and i ate it up.
also i cannot believe paisley hope made favors sexy?
thank you netgalley and paisley hope for providing me with the arc 🫶🏼

I hope & pray Paisley Hope never stops writing!!!! This book is sooooo fucking hot!!!! LAW DADDY!!! 🤤🤤 The use of handcuffs in this book had me panting & foaming at the mouth! 😮💨 And the proposal had tears streaming down my face. I love everything about Cole & Gingers dynamic & the inclusion of Mabel! Go team!!!!!

I really enjoyed this book! Having read the first two, I feel like I could tell the author has really honed in on their writing style. Though the others weren’t bad by any means, Riding the High felt better written. My complaint with the previous book in the series was that there wasn’t much backstory given and I felt it necessary to read the first book. In this case, I don’t think it is necessary though it would certainly add to readers’ understanding of side characters. Cole and Ginger easily hooked me and I barely put the book down! I liked the added element of a step parent relationship and thought Mabel added a lot to the story. I really really appreciated the lack of a third act breakup and the drama wasn’t really even threatening to their relationship. It was something they tackled together.
Thank you to Paisley and Random House - Ballantine for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review posted on Goodreads and will be on Amazon after release.

OH I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!! After reading about Cole and Ginger in the first two books, I’ve been NEEDING to read this. I was jumping up and down when I got approved to read this on Netgalley and I ATE THIS UP! The single dad/nanny will always be a favorite trope of mine. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more.

Cole and Ginger’s story is one of my most anticipated reads for 2025…and it did NOT disappoint! This book was everything good between the new town sheriff and his sassy, little sisters best friend.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣, 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙗𝙮”
Don’t mind me, ready to ask my husband to drunkenly renew our vows in Vegas after reading this. Ginger and Cole’s story is so much fun from start to finish and I loved every second. I can’t help but want a little of my story to be like theirs.
With tropes like friends to lovers and a single dad, you can expect lots of sweet and tender moments that had me giggling and kicking my feet. Cole and Ginger bicker like an old married couple from the start and I loved how they joked and played with each other. But in true Paisley Hope form, the sweet moments are balanced out by an absolutely 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘥 Ashby man.
“𝙀𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮. 𝙄’𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙤𝙬”
I’m surprised my kindle didn’t burst into flames. Cole Ashby had all my attention and then some. And every time he dropped a “Mrs. Ashby” I somehow melted a little more. So here, enjoy one more:
“𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙑𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙣, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪”
… “𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙢𝙮 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚. 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚.”
Riding the High is book 3 in the Silver Pines Ranch series and is available May 6th 🖤
Tropes include:
•Best friends brother
•Single dad
•Secret wedding
•Forced proximity
•Nanny/ boss
•Dirty talk 🔥

Tropes:
🔹 Accidental marriage
🔹 Best friends brother
🔹 Nanny x single dad
What I liked:
▪️ no third act breakup (it was a close call for a sec)
▪️ the flirty friendship between Ginger + Cole was cute
▪️ the motherly relationship between Ginger + Mabel
What I didn’t like:
🔻 it felt a little slow/dull at times, lacking anything to keep my interest, nothing unique or memorable stood out

“Right now, I’m just riding this high. And, maybe getting her to fall for me is exactly what I’m trying to do.”
Another perfect trip to Silver Pines Ranch! Cole Ashby is a single dad to Mabel and the county sheriff. All eyes are on him with his new appointment to sheriff and he needs to stay away from all scandals. So what’s the worst that could happen when he goes to Vegas with his family and the woman he has had a crush on his entire life?
Ginger Danforth has always had a crush on her best friend’s brother but nothing has ever come from the crush but friendship. They’ve had a secret friendship for a few years and now when they wake up married in Vegas everything changes.
Cole and Ginger were perfect together! I had loved their banter in the previous books so I was so ready for their happily ever after. They constantly tried to act like they were just friends but it was so clear that they had never been just friends. Riding the High was the final Ashby love story but I hope there is more to come at Silver Pines Ranch!
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🔥: “Unlock me, Ginger. Now,”

UMMMM YES PLEASE I’ve love reading Ginger and Cole and the way they’re always ripping on each other!
Now we finally got to see their story - their friendship and how this push and pull and banter came to be. This book had the tension, the accidental Vegas marriage, the forced proximity, and the *longing*! Getting dual POV was perfect so you get to see not only Ginger’s feelings but I swear Paisley Hope and write a man SO FREAKING WELL! I was legitimately swoooooning!
5✨ for me again and again!

I have loved the two previous books in this series, but this one takes the cake! You could feel the tension from the beginning of this series. I loved the full circle of Cole and Ginger’s friendship. There was true growth from both characters.
Paisley Hope has become my favorite author. Every book she writes immerses you into the story.

I really enjoyed this book i always love the it’s always been you trope it gives me life. Cole was everything a girl could want the G tattoo after only their first kiss i mean cmon. Loved Gingers and Mabel’s relationship it was so cute and they were adorable together. Definitely recommend this book it was very adorable!!

Each book in the Silver Pines Ranch series got better, and I loved Cole and Ginger‘s story. The banter was excellent, and I loved seeing their relationship develop from friends to more than friends. Mabel was adorable as usual! If you are a fan of small town romances/cowboy romances, you will love this one. It had all of the things I love about that genre, but didn’t feel like a repeat of books I’ve already read. It makes me want to go back and reread the first two!
Thanks for the eARC NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Dell for providing the e-ARC of Riding the High by Paisley Hope in exchange for my honest review.
Riding the High is a classic single-dad, quasi-cowboy romance with a best friends-to-lovers twist. It blends several tropes—secret marriage, sunshine/grump, and best friend's sibling—which makes for a busy plot. I really enjoyed the main characters, Colt and Ginger, and Colt’s daughter, Mabel, added a sweet, maternal dynamic to Ginger’s character. This was my favorite in the series, and I loved Colt and Ginger individually.
However, I struggled with Colt’s background with women and how it affected his friendship with Ginger. It wasn’t exactly a miscommunication trope, but there didn’t seem to be a solid reason for them to keep their relationship secret—or to avoid being together at all. That said, the spice was well done, and fans of these tropes will likely enjoy the book.
If you’ve been reading a lot of similar romances, this might feel a bit repetitive. But as a palate cleanser between other genres, it hits the spot.

I laughed, cried, kicked my feet swooning, got nervous... Literally all the feels. I've read all the books in the series but this one is my favorite.
Cole and Ginger had friendship, banter, desire and tension all wrapped up in secrets. Their characteristics felt tangible, so raw you felt them deeply and intensely while still being a light story. I loved every single minute of it.
