Cute friends to lover entry in the Silver Pines world. The first one is still my favorite but enjoyed this sheriff and senator’s daughter match up. I look forward to the next book!

Now THIS is what I wanted from this series. In the other books, once the characters got together, it felt like their entire story from there on was just them getting intimate. In this book, however, the plot still felt present.

This one follows Cole and Ginger, who have known each other since childhood, and Ginger is his sister, Cece’s, best friend. The two of them have a secret friendship (think Hothouse Flower vibes), but they’ve always pined for the other behind closed doors.

Cole is a fantastic father and an even better partner, if that’s possible. Ginger is a spitfire who has no problem saying what she believes, when it comes to anyone other than her father.

This book has so much angst and tension, and when it finally comes to a head 🥵🥵🥵 definitely my favorite of the series!!

Definitely my favorite of the series so far! It was a lot of fun with a ton of banter. And these two were spicy! I knew I was going to love Law Daddy and Ginger based on their interactions in the other two books.

Their friendship was way deeper than I had realized. The way they looked out for each other when times were tough was really sweet, even if the sweetness was covered with a dry, sarcastic remark. Cole and Ginger had so much chemistry that I was surprised that it took so long for them to really act on their feelings. I loved seeing how Ginger got Cole to loosen up a bit and how Cole became a possessive man as the story went on. I couldn't get over how much they loved each other even before they officially admitted it.

This is also the first book where I feel like the storyline continued to be strong after they hooked up whereas the others lost that a bit.

So excited to see what comes next in this series!

Thank you Paisley Hope, Dell Random House, and NetGalley for the ARC!

okay but listen Cole and Ginger are my absolute favorites and the tension between both of them is crazy good. these two were hilarious and honestly such a cute couple and they always look out for each other which is adorable. The accidental marriage trope is adorable and definitely a favorite of mine!

Paisley Hope has become one of my favorite authors to read. I applied for this arc without realizing that this was the third in the series, so naturally, I had to go back to the beginning and read my way through the series. I am so glad that I did. Paisley hope writes stories in a way that make you want to continue to read them. The romance and characters drive the story line but in a good way. You connect with the characters and that has you ready for the next one. This book was easily 5 stars and well worth the read. I definitely recommend that you check out her other books!

I couldn't put this book down! Whenever I had to close my Kindle for my adult responsibilities, I thought about Cole and Ginger until I could finally curl up in bed with my Kindle. Their story completely hooked me, and I loved every second of it.

This book was a fun read—Ginger's witty comebacks and banter with Cole were spectacular. One of the things I love most about Paisley Hope is her writing and ability to draw you in from the very first page. The pacing and buildup were spot on, and the epilogue was perfect. I love when an epilogue fits the characters so well.

A massive plus for me? No unnecessary third-act breakup! These characters communicate; yay for that! I also loved seeing Ginger and Cole's secret friendship and how deeply they understood each other. And Mabel? Watching her and Ginger grow close and become inseparable was a sweet touch.

This book also features two of my favorite tropes in a cowboy romance: the single parent/nanny dynamic and the accidental/secret marriage. Paisley Hope executed them beautifully.

It's not quite a five-star read for me, though. While Cole and Ginger's relationship was well-written, I felt a disconnect between Ginger and her best friends. I also wish we had gotten more of them and a scene of Ginger's father apologizing in person rather than just through text.

That said, Riding the High is a solid 4-star read for me. It's easy to read, comforting, and the kind of book I'll be rushing to recommend to my book besties!

Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group, for the arc!

two arcs in a row? who even am i?!?

another fun addition to this series! Ivy and Wade will forever be my favorite but Ginger and Cole were a whole lotta fun!

the pining!!!!! these two took friends to lovers to the next level! add in the complexities of getting drunk married in vegas and needing to keep it a secret? this book was chalk full of shenanigans!

this couple has been the main one teased throughout the first two books and i was very ready to see the push and pull of their relationship.

overall, i give this one 4 stars!

this one is out in may!!! i’ll be picking up a physical copy and so should you!

Thank you Netgalley for this arc. Cole is a single dad and ends a job in a small town as a sheriff. Ginger is the daughter of the congressman. Everything in her life is neat and steady and she's dying for some adventure. After a night of a truth and dare game and way too many drinks, they find themselves married in Vegas.

Wow, Riding the High by Paisley Hope really took me on a ride I wasn’t expecting! From the very first page, I was well and truly hooked. The story is the absolute perfect mix of excitement and heart, with just the right amount of depth to have you vouching for Ginger and Cole from the get go, despite their obvious push and pull throughout. But let’s face it, Ginger’s hilariously sarcastic whit is enough to drive anyone to despair.

Paisley has this amazing way of making her characters feel so real and relatable. You can’t help but get invested in their journey, rooting for them through every twist and turn. That skill is especially highlighted in the Silver Pines Ranch series, every character we know and love is always fully in for the ride.

What I loved most about the book was how it tackled some pretty deep themes, both of them managed to overcome their obstacles, discover who they truly are and find that inner strength we all know we need in life but maybe never knew you had. Their personal growth was beautiful to read, and that made it all the more rewarding once I got to the end.

Riding the High is one of those books that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page. I honestly can’t stop thinking about it, book slump anyone? If you’re looking for something that’ll lift your spirits and remind you of the power of perseverance, this one’s definitely worth picking up!

this was so scrumptious! i love a long-time friends-to-lovers moment and i loved how unconventional their journey was to finally being together. getting to see ginger with cole and mabel was so sweet, and i loved that we got to see moments in their past that led them to here.
(that said, "it's always been you" when he got married, had a kid, and slept with like everyone in town... yeah i'm going to choose to ignore that) i was worried about a miscommunication third act break-up but the situation was handled just as i hoped. i also loved getting updates on the rest of the ashby fam and hanging out in silver pines for a little longer <3

I actually squealed when I received this arc. Ginger and Cole are the couple that I've been waiting for. I thought I'd have to wait until May to read this, so getting to read it early was a dream come true.

This book did not disappoint. Getting to see flashbacks of them in the past was something I loved. Also watching Ginger become a mother figure to Mabel was so heartwarming, they had such a good bond with each other. And despite Ginger and Cole having feelings for each other from the beginning, the book was not rushed at all. The pacing felt perfect to me. I loved seeing sides to both of them that we didn't get to see in previous books. Not to mention, the spice was sooo good. Also, the epilogue was everything I needed. It felt like the perfect ending for Ginger and Cole.

All in all, this book lived up to every expectation I had. I am so grateful to have the arc, and I will continue to read Paisley Hope's writing.

Friends to lovers💥single parent💥Vegas wedding💥

Every trope I love in this one.

I’ve been waiting for this book since these characters were in the background of the first in the series.

I think this was super fun and cute. Kinda felt like they just thought each other were hot and this could’ve absolutely just been a friends with benefits thing. But I’ll eat it up either way

What happens if you take your classic best friend's brother cowboy romance, throw in a Vegas eloquent, but then also make it single dad x nanny, and sugarcoat it with years-long pining and the best banter out there ? Riding the High happens.

If I had to make a Top 5 Favorite Cowboy Romance Series list—though, let's be real, I probably couldn't—Silver Pines Ranch just clawed its way up there!

I think this might be my favorite in the series so far? Even with the extensive amount of spice, it was so well balanced!
And those few flashbacks? I LIVE!

A massive thank you to NetGalley and Random House
Publishing Group - Ballantine / Dell for the ARC—I'd hug you very much if I could!

I have been waiting for Ginger and Cole's story since it was teased in the first book. I loved how we got the flashback to their friendship and how it developed over the years. The friends-to-lovers story was done really well, and I do not always love kids in books, but Mabel was an exception. I thoroughly enjoyed being back at the ranch and the found family feeling that continued throughout the novel.

I will be posting this review on my goodreads account today (3/19/25). Thank you for the Arc!

I’m not sure why I didn’t connect with this book. I have loved all of Paisley Hope’s other books and I have been so excited and eager for Cole and Ginger’s story. But I struggled through reading this. It took a few weeks to read because I didn’t feel the characters chemistry and I was just…disappointed. I considered DNFing many times but get pushing through. My rating is very generously rounded up.

Riding the High delivered everything I love in a small-town romance—slow-burning tension, undeniable chemistry, and just the right amount of drama. The auhtor crafted a sizzling story about two people from different worlds who never expected to end up together, let alone married after a wild weekend in Vegas.
Ginger and Cole’s relationship was the perfect mix of chaos and charm. Ginger, the polished congressman’s daughter, had a restless spirit that made her easy to root for, while Cole, the devoted single dad and newly appointed sheriff, brought a grounded, protective energy that balanced her out. Their initial marriage-of-convenience agreement seemed simple enough—keep it quiet until their respective goals were met—but the more time they spent together, the harder it became to ignore their growing feelings.
The tension between them was electric, with plenty of playful banter and steamy moments, but what really made this story shine was the emotional depth. Ginger’s struggle to break free from her father’s expectations and Cole’s devotion to his daughter added layers to their romance, making their connection feel all the more real.
The small-town setting of Silver Pines Ranch added to the charm, with nosy neighbors, well-meaning friends, and plenty of complications that kept the story moving. While the plot was a little predictable at times, the execution was so engaging that I didn’t mind.
Overall, Riding the High was a fun, heartwarming, and spicy romance that had me rooting for Ginger and Cole from start to finish. Fans of accidental marriages, forced proximity, and small-town charm will love this first installment in the Silver Pines Ranch series.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

A few books have left me speechless. Others staring at the wall and contemplating life. But this one right here… has made me want to move to a small town, specifically Laurel Creek, Kentucky and become a teacher! Also holler like a hillbilly 🗣️

Book girlies knees were dislocated but my spine was bent and snapped as soon as those swoon, banter, screaming moments between Ginger and Cole were read. Oh my god! Absolutely brilliant! This is one read that I will definitely be rereading when I want to be in a fluffy romance mood while prancing around in a princess dress. I will also have a hose on standby because this book was HOT! Cue Nelly’s Hot in Herre song please 🎶 Snaps for Paisley Hope because I absolutely fell in love with Ginger and Cole. Their chemistry, the cute texts they would send and their mutual love for Brooklyn 99 was everything! (Favorite character would have to be Cheddar, obviously 🤭)

Although I am reading the series out of order, I will say that Ginger and Cole are by far my favorite couple so far. Now we can’t forget the star of the story, Mabel has completely melted my heart. She is the absolute most adorable character ever that needs to be protected at all costs. The moments between her and Ginger were so heartwarming. There was a point where my Oscar the grouch bum shed a tear because of their connection 😭 Not to mention how my heart would swell up at the effort that Cole would make to keep Mabel settled, love and supported. What a man what a man what a mannnnn 🎶 The small tokens of appreciation and love that Cole would do for Ginger, sir I would have folded from the beginning and said bring on the handcuffs Law Daddy 😜 Highly recommend you give this gem of a book a read and I can’t wait to read more of Paisley Hope books. I will admit she has officially become one of my favorite go to auto buy authors 💕 Overall it was a 4.75 ⭐️ Thank you NetGalley for this amazing beautiful ARC

Cole & Ginger 😭😭

I loved them so much it physically hurt. The angst? The trials they went through that led them down a windy road of friends to the biggest dare of marriage.

Keeping feelings at bay, secrets of a Vegas wedding & maneuvering the idea of trying forever with the person you never thought you’d get a chance with?

I’m a Cole Ashby Stan for LIFE. The details depicted to really draw the best picture for the character of each person was written so well. & the SPICE ? I’m a gonerrrrr

To the wizard who gave me arc approval through dell , may your pillow be always cold. MUAH

YALLLLLLL. Cole freaking Ashby had me in a chokehold!

Cole & Ginger are friends, but that no one can know about. She's his little sister's best friend and to keep the peace they both keep the friendship a secret. They've got each other's backs, behind everyone's back, for years helping each other some major life hurdles. When it's time for them to celebrate Cole's sister's upcoming wedding they head to Vegas and all bets are off. After a wild night and an accidental wedding the two try to keep it a secret so they don't create a scandal before Cole's swearing in as sheriff, and things fall into place in the most delicious ways!

This book was chock full of my favorites; single dad, accidental Vegas wedding, best friend's brother, nanny and forced proximity and it did not disappoint.

I absolutely loved the secret relationship between Cole & Ginger. Their connection, mutual pining, BANTER, FLIRTING...ugh all of it was so good. And the relationship that Ginger built with Mabel and how things naturally fell into place was so dang sweet.

These two spicy and sweet and I did not want this one to end!

4.75 stars

I wasn’t sure if I was going to love this one. But it’s my favorite book in this series. I love the beautiful love that blossomed between them. I’m not usually a fan of friends to lovers but I adore how this one was done. It has more of a nanny trope and a marriage of convenience. I loved the friendship relationship developed between Ginger and Mabel. They are so sweet together, especially the garden they are working on together.
