Rowena’s life is flipped upside down when she receives news of two life changing events. The first is she’s pregnant with her ex’s child. The second is she’s also just been laid off. While this is happening, Adrian also receives life changing news. He is in the running for a promotion he has worked years for. However, he overhears his boss question if he’s the right fit for the job, as Adrian has no work life balance. Desperate to prove his boss wrong, he lies about having a pregnant fiancé to keep himself in the running. What happens next can only be what the author describes as a meet puke since these two literally meet in a bathroom as they’re both vomiting for different reasons. Soon after meeting they both agree to help each other by entering into a fake marriage that is beneficial to both parties.

This was an okay romance read for me. With the exception of the meet puke, nothing else really stood out. I also didn’t realize when I received this book that the FMC was pregnant. I’m not a huge fan of pregnancy romances so maybe that’s why this was also an okay read for me. It is sweet how Adrian falls for Rowena and her child though.

The pacing also just felt all over the place. In some spots, like the beginning, I feel like a lot of time is spent on them getting to know each other, but then by the end it felt like it was a rush to get the third act breakup in. (Also it’s a third act breakup that comes out of nowhere and is easily resolved in 3 short chapters). Also, there could’ve been more shown to us about her postpartum depression instead of it just being told to us a few times over the course of two chapters. I don’t know, the last 8 or so chapters just felt super rushed, with info like the postpartum depression being dumped on us and then quickly moved away from. Then the breakup happens, leaving the reader confused, to be resolved super quick and then be given a HEA.

Overall I just don’t think this one was for me, but others who like cute romances that are also pretty quick reads will enjoy this one.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

She did it again! This was a book I really enjoyed. The growth between the two of them. The way that this book sort of started at the end, but took us back to the beginning. The friendship vibes. Also seeing some characters from the first book in the series was a bonus! 4 stars

If the Ring Fits by Camilla Isley is an absolute gem! This is book 2 in the Funny Feelings trilogy, and it somehow outshines the first one! From the moment I started, I was engaged. The witty dialogue and heartwarming romance made it impossible to put down.
The chemistry between Rowena and Adrian is palpable, and I loved seeing how their relationship unfolded in such a fun and unexpected way despite their rather unorthodox start. Camilla Isley’s writing is as engaging as expected, with the perfect balance of humor and emotion.
If you enjoyed the first book in this series, you're in for an even better ride with If the Ring Fits. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful, romcom! I couldn't put it down and I can’t wait for Dylan and Hunter to finally pair up!
I would like to thank Netgalley, the publisher and most importantly Camilla Isley for entertaining me with this wonderful read!.

If the Ring Fits was a fantastic read! Although I hadn’t read the first book in the series, the author does a great job of explaining the characters and events, so I never felt lost.

This story follows Rowena and Adrian, two hardworking individuals brought together in the most unexpected way—inside a bathroom, on what might just be Rowena's worst day. Both are in desperate need of a solution to their problems, and they strike up a mutually beneficial marriage of convenience.

Adrian is laser-focused on becoming the next CEO of his company. He’s a no-nonsense, workaholic kind of guy who stops at nothing to achieve his goals. But when his boss suggests that the ideal CEO should be family-oriented, Adrian realizes he has a problem.

Meanwhile, Rowena is reeling from a double blow: losing her job and discovering her scumbag ex has left her with a lifelong consequence. While she’s a skilled coder and no stranger to hard work, she’s at a crossroads. Enter Adrian, whose proposition—six months of marriage to help each other achieve their goals—seems like a lifeline. Their arrangement is simple: Adrian gets the image of stability he needs for the CEO role, and Rowena gets time and support to find her footing again. But as their fake marriage unfolds, it turns into something far more real than either of them anticipated.

One thing I especially loved about the book was its closed-door romance, with an optional spicy scene available at the end for readers who wanted more. This thoughtful detail gave readers the freedom to choose the tone they preferred. The story had me laughing, crying, and even angry—all within the span of just a few pages! I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heartfelt and entertaining romance.

Thank you, NetGalley for this eARC!

I would like to thank Netgalley and Boldwood Books for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really enjoyable read. However there was build up to spice that didn’t really happen on page (apart from in the bonus chapter).

What a fun, funny little story - of course how can a fake engagement go wrong? It does sound like a tired old trope, but this was a fun story to read, and I love a FMC in STEM.

I had the best time reading this story! I immediately fell in love with Adrian and Rowena. Adrian is all kinds of goodness - he is a sexy billionaire who discovers there is more to life than just work.

Rowena finally has a chance to get her life together after some major set backs. And Rowena is funny! Isley has given her a personality that includes quick wit and quick back and forth banter Adrian. I laughed at so many times during their conversations.

Isley does a nice job of setting the pace for these two characters to realize they each have things to figure out about their themselves, their lives and each other. Truly, I was lost is this book from the beginning and could not put it down.

Adrian and Rowena start out in a backwards manner but the fun is seeing how they turn it around!

Before I even dive into the review, I have to commend Camilla on Chapter One! The intensity of that opening scene set the tone for the entire book. She gives you an emotional glimpse of what happened and where the characters are, pulling you to the edge of your seat until the very last line. Then, just when your curiosity peaks, she throws you back into the past, making you patiently wait to uncover how it all unfolds.

If the Ring Fits might seem like a straightforward marriage-of-convenience romantic comedy, but it’s so much more than that. The evolution of the characters alone made this a five-star read for me. The banter, the wit, and the overall plot were exceptional - as always with Camilla’s writing - but the transformation of Rowena and Adrian? That was a gift in itself.

Life seems determined to test just how much Rowena can endure before she breaks. First, she finds out she’s pregnant with her horrific ex-boyfriend’s baby. As she struggles with the possibility of Liam, the man she finally escaped, reentering her life, another devastating blow hits - she’s been let go from her job after being made redundant. Pregnant, unemployed, and on the verge of leaving her friends behind in New York to move back home, she can’t imagine things getting any worse… until a random stranger proposes to her in a bathroom!

Adrian has sacrificed everything for his career. Friends, relationships, a personal life - none of it mattered as long as he achieved his ultimate goal of becoming CEO. That dream seems within reach when his boss, Dominic, calls him and Preston into the office to announce his retirement and reveal that one of them will take over. Convinced the job is his, Adrian accidentally overhears the truth - his lack of a life, family, and responsibilities has ruled him out. The job is going to Preston. Thinking quickly, Adrian concocts a lie: he has a pregnant fiancée, proving he’s the perfect “family man” for the role. Now, all he has to do is make that little fib a reality.

What Adrian didn’t anticipate was how fast the universe would work in his favor, turning a chance meeting into the opportunity of a lifetime. Now, he has to convince the beautiful stranger that his outrageous idea is exactly what she needs, too. Mutually beneficial, six months tops, and they part ways - separate lives, no feelings, no complications. Because fake relationships are always that simple… right?

As I mentioned earlier, the way Camilla wrote the first chapter had me hooked like never before - I don’t think I’ve ever been so impatient to finish a book in my life! She crafted that opening chapter so perfectly, and as the story unfolded, with all the what ifs, near misses, and possibilities, each chapter pulled me closer to the edge of my seat. I was absolutely desperate to uncover what happened, what triggered the final turning point - it was pure, beautifully agonizing suspense!

I’ve only read a few of Camilla Isley’s books, and what I have read, I’ve absolutely loved. She has an incredible talent for creating fierce female protagonists who are shaped by their strength as survivors. They’ve been burned, they’ve been broken, and yet they persevere. Rowena embodied that same energy and essence, but what I truly appreciated this time was the opportunity to witness her rise from the ashes instead of just admiring the aftermath.

To say Rowena went through a lot would be a massive understatement - it doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the first few chapters! This poor woman was on the brink, holding on by a thread. She discovers she’s pregnant with her toxic ex-boyfriend’s baby, all while finally escaping that horrible relationship. Honestly, the number Liam did on her - if I were a cartoon character, steam would’ve been pouring out of my ears! But I’ll get into that more later. As if that weren’t enough, she finds out she’s being made redundant by her chauvinistic creep of a boss. And remember - this all happens before you even finish Chapter Two! Anyone else would have crawled under the covers and called it a day, a month, maybe even a year. But Rowena took it all in stride, and my admiration for her character skyrocketed.

That’s what made this story so powerful. Camilla seamlessly blended a strangers-to-lovers, fake relationship-turned-marriage-of-convenience trope with a self-discovery journey you’d typically find in “chick-lit” by authors like Sophia Kinsella or Lindsey Kelk. We truly knew Rowena - like, really knew her. We felt her struggles, understood her desires, and witnessed her relentless drive to remain independent.

I haven’t read the first book, so yes, there’s a bit of a spoiler for Nina and Tristan, but that’s okay - it only made me more eager to dive into their story! Plus, Camilla dropped a tantalizing hint about Dylan and Hunter, so I now fully intend to read both Book 1 and Book 3.

Like most of Camilla’s books, this is a closed-door romance, but that doesn’t mean it lacks heat. There are plenty of charged moments - heated glances, fire-igniting kisses, and perfectly timed fade-to-black scenes that leave you swooning. That said, this time Camilla decided to surprise her readers with a bonus spicy scene if you subscribe to her newsletter. Who knew she had it in her? I swear, I channeled my inner George Takei and threw out a few “Oh my’s”!

Camilla touched on so many important themes in this book. I could probably write a thesis on the psychological factors exhibited by the characters, but this is supposed to be a book review, so I’ll stay in my lane and stick to my role.

If the Ring Fits was the perfect blend of overcoming, acceptance, and evolution. From the first chapter to the last, Camilla has your heart in her hands. And though she puts it through its paces, she takes care of it - delivering a story that fills you with so much joy, you can’t help but thank her for the irregular heartbeat (and goofy grin) you’re left with when she finally returns it.

I love a good romcom! When Life Gives You Lemons, Fake an Engagement! Why not? What could possible go wrong.. Things start to become complicated for Adrian and Rowena. The line of just business and personal starts to blur. I did not want to put this book down! I really enjoyed the characters! So many emotions! What a perfect romcom. Although it was slow, there was enough going on to keep me reading and wanting more! I had no idea this was part of a series so I’ll definitely need to read the others! If you are looking for a feel good romcom, this is your book! Thank you NetGalley, Camilla and St. Boldwood Books for the E-ARC!

This slow burn, rom-com is filled with witty banter, awkward and hilarious situations, and a sweet and steamy storyline with lots of heart. I was caught up in the lives of these delightful and complicated characters, and couldn't wait for them to get their HEA. Rowena and Adrian are both professionals who are having the worst day when they have their hilarious meet-cute. Adrian is married to his job as an investment banker but now needs a real wife to save his job. He has a chance encounter with Rowena, a software engineer who just found out she was pregnant from her awful ex, and to top it off she lost her job. Adrian is a smooth talker, quick on his feet, and he realizes they could help each other if they joined forces. It starts off a bit rocky as they get to know each other. Adrian likes how Rowen is smart and funny, and isn't impressed with his money. He begins to want more with her and her growing baby. Rowena loves how thoughtful, kind and supportive Adrian is, and her feelings grow for him as well. But what happens when it all began with a lie, can they risk their heart and make it real? I loved watching Adrian and Rowena's relationship and love grow along with their beautiful new family. They were opposites who helped each other find their true place in the world. I also loved their family and friends who cause more hilarity, complications, and drama that had me laughing out loud, swooning, and cheering for Adrian and Rowena's HEA. This was a wonderfully entertaining story with great characters, humor, slow burn hotness, and a whole lot of love!

As always, Camila nailed it! This is an another adorable romantic comedy about two strangers who stumble into a fake engagement.

Adrian is an investment banker, needs a pretend fiancée to impress his CEO, while Rowena, a software engineer, is facing an unexpected pregnancy. They meet up in a rather dramatic way(actually it’s hilarious even if it’s a dire situation) they decide to pretend to be in love with each other.

But they have strict rules: no feelings, and no love. But as they spend more time together, they realise there’s more freak than fake. did not want to put this book down! I loved the chemistry between Rowena and Adrian. I love how much they both grew throughout the story.

Another highly enjoyable bookby Camilla Isley. She is becoming quite trusted for enjoyable rom coms. This is the 2nd instalment in the Funnt feelings trilogy with the first being Not another holiday romance which I finished in August and thoroughly enjoyed.
This one pretty much carries on where the epilogue of the 1st one ends except it follows Rowena's story after she finds out she's pregnant by her douchebag ex and finds herself with a complicated proposal fake marriage offer by workaholic millionaire Adrian.
This is a cosy story which spans over a year and although predictable is satisfying. I just wish these characters talked it out more and not be afraid to let the other know and ask what they are feeling or thinking instead of assuming. It's getting tedious for adults who should know better but thins one isn't too bad.
I look forward to the 3rd instalment which will be Hunter and. Dylan.
Thanks to Boldworld books who provided me a copy for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This is my first book by Camilla Isley and I’m pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this romantic comedy. Even though some parts would get a bit cringey, the written was done so beautifully well.

I’m a sucker for a book with women in STEM. ANDDDD billionaires! The way Rowana and Adrian meet is just *chef’s kiss* Even though I felt the ending was a bit rushed, it was a good story overall. I loved the chemistry and tension between Rowana and Adrian. Just be prepared there is a lot of assuming and not a whole lot of communication between the two main characters. BUT I will say you will feel all sorts of emotions while reading this rom-com. Adrian is definitely a man worth swooning over.

Adrian is an investment banker in need of a pretend fiancé to impress the CEO. Rowana is a software engineer facing a setback in her career all while finding out she’s pregnant. They both end up meeting and agree to fake date and get married.

This is the second book in the Funny Feelings series, I totally recommend reading the first book; This is not a Holiday Romance.

Software engineer Rowena is pregnant with her ex's baby and jobless. Banker Adrian just learned his boss is probably going to pass him over for a CEO position, because he's not a family man. Solution? A marriage of convenience with a pregnant woman!

I must say I really enjoyed this one. The characters were so much fun, their banter is incredible and I could feel the chemistry throughout the book. This is such a perfect romantic comedy, not to sweet, not to spicy and the right amount of humor.

I also wanted to add that I applaude that Camilla showed that even being as smart as Rowena, you can get in situations that aren't ideal. But you can find a way to make them work as well!

Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood books for the opportunity to read the ARC and trusting me to write an honest review.

I ate this up!!! Thank you so much Camilla Isley for taking me out of my book slump! “If the Ring Fits” follows Rowena & Adrians fake relationship and how they navigate the “fake” and actually end up falling in love. I loved how quick and how much of a page turner this novel was and recommend it to anyone looking for a quick feel-good romance story.

The ending seemed a little rushed and I got a bit frustrated with Rowena which is why this wasn’t a five star read for me but it was close! This novel gave me big 50 shades of gray vibes without the graphics. Loved it!

Thank you to Boldwood Books for an advanced readers copy of this title via NetGalley.

I could not have loved this book any more than I did. It is the perfect combination of strangers to lovers with witty banter. I’ve read several books by this author and am always impressed with her writing style that is full of awkward events, laugh out loud scenes, and wonderful characters. Adrian and Rowena meet as they are both throwing up in the bathroom! How is that for a start to your relationship?!? My favorite part was the beginning of the story where Rowena is meeting Adrian to sign divorce papers but she loves him. This immediately hooked me and I wanted to know what happens to them. An excellent romcom that will leave you feeling happy!

4 ⭐️

It was a nice quick easy read for me, I did enjoy the storyline, it was cute and fluffy. It did take me a couple of chapters to get into it to be fair, the opening into the future kinda confused me at first but still an enjoyable read. I started to read and took a break around 5% but when I came back finished the book in hours, couldn’t put my kindle down.
Really loved that we got a dual POV.
I loved the characters, the chemistry between them was great. It really felt like they had a genuine connection with one another. The MMC is amazing like just what you’d want in a man, he was supportive and really showed her how much he cared. Also loved the vulnerability the mmc showed.
I also loved how the author addressed PPD in the storyline, something that really needs to be spoken about a lot more. I also appreciated to see that the mmc was aware of PPD also and it was something I liked to see just being mentioned a man being aware of PPD and not necessarily understanding that but aware of what it could look like from within. The mmc was becoming more perfect as the book went on.

This is my first Camilla Isley read, I didn’t know this book was in a series but I will definitely be checking out her previous books.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great read. I expected it to be a typical rom-com, but it was actually much more. I loved the main characters and the stories they told. Cosy up and enjoy

Thank you to NetGalley for the copy to read and review this book! This is a 3/3.5 star book in my opinion. The concept was just not for me and I wasn’t a fan of the whole pregnancy plot - just not for me. At times the book was a bit cringey for me and the main male character was not a hit. However, I did think the ending of the book was well done and gave closure in a way - and who doesn’t like a happy ending! I also have to give props to the author as the writing is very well done and I couldn’t help but notice the detail and attention put into that writing. Although this book wasn’t a winner for me, I’m a fan of the author and will look at other books read - it’s just the storyline wasn’t for me.
