This is an Anne of Green Gables story for first chapter books. It is the 6th and final book in the series.
I liked that it was made simple for introducing a classic book like Anne in a chapter book format to the young readers. Adults will enjoy this book as well since we know and love the stories of Anne.
Illustrations are nostalgic and it looked like Dick and Jane style, so if that’s your interest you might enjoy it. Not my favourite since I think more modern and chibi illustrations would have fit the concept of this book and appeal to the children’s interests.
Thank you to Netgalley for an arc of this book.

A sweet story for young readers to fall in love with Anne of Green Gables. I haven’t read the previous illustrated stories in this series, nut now I want to!

I love Anne of Green Gables, so honestly I'd rather just read the original again. Hopefully this series of early reader chapter books inspires an audience to read the full novel when they are older and able, but I found it too lacking in details and too simple to give Anne her due. But, the illustrations in this book are delightful!

Always just so thrilled to be exploring the world through Anne’s point of view. The illustrations are lovely and the plot stays close to the original story. I appreciate how the author keeps the tone of the story the same while also updating it and making it appropriate for young readers.

This series is full of wonderful illustrations, and the cover artwork is beautiful. It is a great tribute to Anne of Green Gables. The book begins with some of the most loved moments of Anne's childhood including her tea party with Diana and when she dyed her hair. At the book's conclusion, Anne has matured into a young woman with aspirations of becoming a teacher, her eyes on the bright future.
Thank you to Netgalley for the chance to review this book.

This was a quick feel-good read that I enjoyed much like the very first Anne book I read as a kid. :)
Anne Dreams is set during Anne's high school and college years, and holds true to the original story.
The illustrations were different from other versions I've seen, and were beautifully feminine and lovely. Kudos to the artist, Abigail Halpin on a job well done!
Anne Dreams was a story I loved, and I'd recommend for any young reader.
I received a complimentary e-book from Tundra Book Group to review through Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.

This series has been such an incredible way to share my lifelong love of Anne with my daughters. The illustrations are stunning and the quick easy chapters helped build confidence in my younger reader. This last book in the series contained some of my favorite parts of Anne’s story, like the green hair, and it was so bittersweet to finish the collection! If I could, I’d have this author/illustrator duo tackle the rest of the Anne series!!

This was a wonderfully done short version of the original story!
I absolutely loved the artwork and layout of the pictures with the words!
"Anne Dreams" would make a perfect girly gift for any young girl.
Many thanks to Tundra Books for the complimentary e-book copy of this book I received to review through Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.

I have never read a book so fast! Anne Dreams is the 6th and final book of the beloved children’s chapter book series. This story is about Anne’s final time at school and entering Queen’s College to become a teacher.
The author, Kallie George, perfectly captures Anne’s lively spirit. The books are the best length for young children being introduced to Anne of Green Gables. The author is engaging which makes these books easy to devour in one sitting. We always read this series before our trips to PEI.

i have such a soft spot for all things anne of green gables, so i immediately leapt on this title when i saw it listed on netgalley.
if you have littles, and you're wanting to introduce the story of anne to them for the first time, this series is the PERFECT place to start.
the illustrations are so darling, and the charm and warmth of the original series by lucy maud montgomery is present. i had a smile on my face the entire duration of this sweet little book.
thank you netgalley for the e-arc copy

As a kid, I read several books in the Anne of Green Gables series. Kallie George offers her own take on the original series as an early illustrated chapter book series.
This final volume feels full of nostalgia. The illustrations are beautiful and lovingly supplement Kellie George's adaptation Anne's story. After a life of both hardship and perseverance, we witness Anne's growth and optimism, as she reaches ever closer to her dream of becoming a teacher.
This series is a great introduction to the classic Anne of Green Gables series. I highly recommend.

Anne Dreams: Inspired by Anne of Greene Gables by Kallie George is a cute story. I never pass up an opportunity to read a story featuring the feisty Anne Shirley. The story is a condensed version of a couple incidents which includes the entertaining green hair incident, Anne studying for Queen’s College, and a mention of the dress with the puffed sleeves. It is an easy story to read. The illustrations are nice, but I was not a fan of how they portrayed Marilla (such a sharp angled face) and Matthew. My favorite illustration is of Anne in the armchair reading a book. Anne Dreams is a good introduction for children to Anne Shirley and her adventures.

This book shows Anne growing up and becoming more comfortable in her own skin and she prepares to go to Queens College. This book was so cute and beautifully illustrated! I've always had a soft spot of Anne of Green Gables and I think this would be perfect for any fan!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Anne Dreams is the sixth novel in Kallie George’s adaptations of the Anne of Green Gables series. It is beautifully illustrated by Abigail Halton which blend beautifully with the story. This series is meant for earlier readers and younger audiences than the original series, and in this story, the focus is on Anne’s dreams. Although bits of the story are taken from more than one of the original novels, they fit together seamlessly into a story about how as you grow your dreams can grow too!
I hadn’t read the previous books in the series, but I will be looking for them, as I think they will be a wonderful introduction to the world of Anne Shirley for my 7 year old who isn’t quite ready for the bigger novels, but who I think will love the sweet stories and lovely pictures that I’m sure they contain if they are like Anne Dreams.
Overall a lovely short book for young readers that is sure to have a new audience interested in the wonderful stories of Anne of Green Gables!
I received this book from Tundra Books and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This is such a wonderful conclusion to this collection of Anne adaptations for young readers. Kallie George spins all of the beauty of Montgomery's world into lovely smaller pieces for younger readers to engage with easily. It has all the charm of the original text, while being appropriate for growing readers. I loved the emphasis on the hopeful tone.

Such a cute abridged series! The illustrations are beautiful and I love this way of introducing children to Anne. I'm just confused as to why they are naming these books after the entire Anne series but the stories only come from the first book.

I loved Anne books when I was younger and this book just completely took me back! My daughter and I cherished our time together reading this beautiful story! Loved it

This is a beautiful book with lovely illustrations. A perfect present for a kindred spirit who loves Anne and is looking for new ways to be reaquainted with her. It's a short book and more of a memory lane type of book than for someone to be introduced to Anne. I recommend!

I received a free copy of, Anne Dreams, by Kallie George, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love the Anne of Green Gables series, I grew up watching the show on pbs. This book show Anne growing up, always her feisty self. I love Marilla and Matthew, they were definitely Anne;s people. I really enjoyed this book.

This short children's book starts with Anne upset because her dye job did not turn out the way she wanted it. She was teased about her hair color and wanted to change it. She then finds out she was accepted into a college for teachers. The short chapters highlight two stories from the original Anne of Green Gables. Children reading chapter books can read this by themselves or with a parent. While the author takes some liberties in recreating these stories, it was an enjoyable read. I would recommend this to any Anne of Green Gables fan and would like to introduce Anne to their young children.
Thank you, Tundra Books and NetGalley, for letting me review this book.
