Very cute. I enjoyed the story as well as the pictures.
The way the illustrations complement the story is amazing. It was a great continuation of this series and perfect for those in our lives who love ghosts year round!

This story is a really cute book on a ghost that is excited about and inspired by Christmas. I think this is a great addition to a library Christmas collection as it focuses more on friendships and crafting than the religious aspects of Christmas. Not all of my students go for holiday books in my library because of the tie to religious aspects that do not align.
Overall 4/5! I would read this story to the kids during their library visit and I know they would love it!

Great book to transition between Halloween and Christmas. It follows a ghost who is not made out of a sheet, but instead is made out of a quilt. Because he is made out of a quilt he is able to fly and explore in the cold winter weather unlike his ghost friends who are all sheets. Upon exploring he starts to see the magic of Christmas through decorations and wants to provide this to his other ghost friends. The graphics are very pretty, but the book is mostly black and white. Thank you to NetGalley and Tundra Book Group for the advanced reader copy.

A sweet book about kindness from a cold weather ghost more equipped for snow than its warmer weather lightweight friends. Sharing the human excitement for the goodness of winter with other ghost friends.
We enjoyed this cozy, short picture book. Any age could appreciate this one, good for a read aloud.

"The Little Ghost Quilt's Winter Surprise" is an adorable story on friendship and the power of traditions. I love how it's a Christmas story without screaming Christmas and being overly cheesy. A perfect Christmas read for Halloween lovers!

A delightful holiday-themed follow-up to 2020's The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt. In the original, Little Ghost Quilt struggled to fit in with all the other ghosts, he is now able to see the benefits of being a different type of ghost; one of which, is flying around in the Winter. While doing so, he learns about a fantastical human Winter tradition, decorating trees! It was delightful to see a beloved Christmas tradition reflected by someone who knows nothing about the holiday, just the beauty of a sparkly, lit-up tree. A definite recommend for fans of the first or for Halloween kids looking to infuse ghosts into other holidays.

This was freaking adorable. I love this series! I need more of them. Little Ghost Quilt is so cute! This is an adorable, charming, cozy holiday or Winter read, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The Little Ghost Quilt's Winter Surprise by Riel Nason is a heartwarming and whimsical tale that combines cozy charm with a touch of magic. The story follows a little ghost and her adventures with a special quilt that brings warmth and surprises during the winter season. Nason’s writing is gentle and enchanting, capturing the innocence of the characters and the cozy atmosphere of the story. Perfect for young readers or those looking for a feel-good, magical read, this book offers a delightful mix of winter wonder and heartwarming moments.

I loved this cute little book. The ghost was so cute and I loved the art in this so much! I am definitely going to buy a copy when it releases. This brought me a lot of joy!

This story was so much fun and cute! I really love the artwork. Both my children loved this story so much that they asked me to read it to them again A different night. it is A book that any child will love and enjoy as well as the parents.
I would highly recommend this story and am planning on buying it for my nephews and sending one to them to Chicago.
I would also buy other books from this author who does such an amazing job at bringing this book to life and again love the artwork!

I am a true sucker for this little ghost. We adore the Halloween book so I was so excited for his Winter surprise. The story is a great example of spreading kindness and joy. The illustrations are stunning and I loved the addition of focus on the colors and twinkling of the Holidays. I highly recommend adding this to your Holiday library!

More cute little ghosty ghost fun! It gives a lot of Nightmare Before Christmas vibes. Your friends with kids who love that movie will enjoy reading this book to their kids.

Thank you to Riel Nason and Tundra Book Group for the opportunity to preview The Little Ghost Quilt's Winter Surprise. This is another cute and cozy tale of the ghost who was a quilt.
This series encourages the reader/listener’s imagination and their empathy for everyday objects. Nason’s fanciful world of ghosts probes the unique advantages of being different and curious. Byron Eggenschwiler’s illustrations are immersive and heartbreakingly cute. In the Winter Surprise, the Little Ghost Quilt learns more about the world outside and shares warm celebrations with loved ones.
I recommend this book to anyone with kiddos who like detailed illustrations and things that are a touch spooky (and cozy). I’ll be gifting it this Christmas.

I absolutely love Little Ghost Quilt and all of the stories in which he is the star. I think these cozy stories not only make ghosts a comfort creature to children but also tie-in a typically "scary" creature to several different seasons which allows for continuity in students' minds.

This was a really cute book. As a teacher, I love that it used some more complex vocabulary. This allows the students to expand their vocabulary. There are many different ways this book can be used in the classroom. It has ghosts, but is based at Christmas time, so it would be cute to use anytime in November and December. The pictures were fantastic and really enhanced the understanding of the story. In some instances, you can even use it to prove that the pictures can tell MORE. For example, the tree broke many items in the house when the ghost dragged it in. Great piece of literature for children!

Beautiful, cozy, and a little spoooky. I love the kid-friendly parallels of diversity and sharing joy where you find it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Tundra Book Group for the e-arc of this gorgeous picture book!
Judging by the title and cover art alone I knew I needed to request this little book and I’m so glad I did! It’s a beautiful, kind story of friendship and inclusion that would make anyone smile. The illustrations were impeccably done and I love the Christmas setting along with the ghosts that makes it perfect for fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas
Go out and buy this book when it comes out, read it and display it around your home. The compliments will be never ending

Oh, I am SO glad that the little ghost has gotten a second book! The first book has quickly become one of my absolute favorite children's books ever, and this one was added to that list immediately after finishing it as well. I love the soft, wintery vibes of this book - this would be a lovely book to add to a child's winter book collection. Once again, the illustrations have knocked it out of the park, and the underlying lesson in the story is beautifully written for children to appreciate. Love, love love!

This book is adorable. It’s about a ghost who instead of being a sheet is a quilt. It makes him move slower, makes them heavier, but it also makes them much cozier to the little girl that picks them up. There’s another book in this series and I’m looking forward to it. And the artwork while not completely black and white uses color sparingly so that way our quilt stands out. This book was a top read from first page to last.

I really enjoyed the first book and I really wanted to like this one. I didn't like the flow and the ending seemed rushed.
