Lorna Lewis wrote a strong story and had characters that I was looking for from the description. The characters were everything that I was wanting and was on the journey with them. It was a strong concept for the genre and was glad I got to read this.
Wow this book is very emotional. After a harrowing experience being kidnapped and kept for 15 years Nova is back with her family.
As she learns to reconnect with her family, secrets are revealed. Nova then has to find a way to move forward and figure out where she belongs.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.
this was a really good story! I loved the themes of family and family dysfunction, love, growth, betrayal, and relationships. Everything was written well and it was a book that kept me engaged and entertained throughout!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!
A thought provoking account of some of the most horrific things a human being can endure. This book explores themes, behaviours and acts that are difficult to read about but is written in such a way that the feelings of hope and courage shine through. Leah, Nova and Quinton are portrayed beautifully. Complex, heartbreaking and brilliant.

This book made me cry, it made me think, but most of all it brought some perspective to my life. When things seem like they’ll never get better, with the help of family and friends, it can and it will.
Nova was kidnapped and kept hostage for 15 long years. During her captivity, her thoughts and memories of her family kept her going. Once she was finally rescued, she realized that her life would never be the same. Secrets were being kept from her, she barely knew her family, and everything in the outside world was new and different. It would take everything she had and everyone she knew to help her acclimate to this new life.
This is written with such a profound insight into people’s emotions and the strength it takes to persevere through hardship, it’s impossible not to be touched by this story.
Thank you, NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the advanced reader copy.
4 Stars for A Sky Full of Love by new to me author Lorna Lewis, published by Lake Union Publishing. The story flows like a river, sometimes smooth, sometimes stormy, but always beautiful.
Nova, Leah and Quinton had to endure what nobody should endure and all of them have the scars to prove it.
Nova has to re-enter society and klugscheißer Leah's world is crumbling around her. It would have been a 5 star read for if there wasn't the rushed, shallow and not convincing hea. All in all a good read, well written.

Give me a swampy cover with Spanish moss on a tree and I will request it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I really, really enjoyed this read. I thought the plot and subject material was very inventive/original and that kept me very invested in the story. I also thought that the characters were extremely well-written and there was a lot of depth to them. I loved the dynamics of the three "main" characters and their relationships with each other - there were a lot of intricacies between the three and it made for very interesting reading. This was fresh and difficult and beautiful all at the same time, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves contemporary fiction reads. I look forward to finding more of this author's work! Four stars.
An interesting read. I appreciated where the story ended, but there were times that I wanted the author to make different choices.
From beginning to end, this is a gripping read. Imagine being abducted and returning to hear that your husband is now married to your sister! How do you go on? What will your life be like? And imagine being that sister, how does she feel?
All this and more are answered in A SKY FULL OF LOVE. I rejoiced and cried along with these characters. A great emotional read.
Lorna Lewis does a great job of pulling you into this family and having the reader in feelings from sadness, to happiness, to grief to growing. The characters are very well described that you feel as if you've met them before. I found myself so into this story that time passed quickly. And I learned so much about myself when it comes to handling life situations. I would definitely recommend this book over and over!
