3.5 ⭐️ This was a fun read for Christmas! It definitely has all your Christmas vibes as the plot revolves around the heir to the North Pole and his journey in finding a bride to be the Mrs Claus to his Santa. The sub plot of the frost Queen trying to ruin Christmas made this book fun and balanced the romance of the story really well. The spice was great, it wasn’t over the top but was a good balance and added chemistry to the characters. I liked the fantastic elements to the story, it kept the whimsical christmas theme going strong throughout the story. The enemies to lovers aspect happened very quickly but with a story this short it doesn’t give a lot of room for growth compared to a lengthier novel. If you take all that in mind it’s a fun, fast paced, spicy Christmas read!

Naughty, naughty!

This is a spicy little enemies to lovers romantasy with a bit of adventure thrown into the mix. I love the main characters and found their relationship fun and frisky and altogether entertaining. I enjoyed the bit of fantasy thrown in and could see this book turning into a series starter. There's definitely room in this world for more.

Definitely spicy; read at your own discretion.

4⭐ | A Festive, Whimsical, and Slightly Spicy Christmas Romp

Winning the Christmas Prince’s Heart by Olivia Boothe delivers a fun and heartwarming mix of romance, action, and adventure set against a delightfully magical North Pole backdrop. If you’re looking for a Christmas story that combines humor, fantasy, and a reluctant prince finally stepping into his destiny, this one’s for you.

Nick Claus, the North Pole’s rakish and irresponsible prince, starts off as the ultimate slacker—but when Christmas is threatened by the Frost Queen, he’s forced to team up with Alva Brightwinter, the no-nonsense Head Elf. Sparks fly (sometimes literally) as their reluctant partnership transforms into something much deeper. Their dynamic is classic enemies-to-lovers, with plenty of banter, tension, and just the right dash of holiday spice.

Alva is a standout FMC—competent, strong-willed, and more than a match for Nick’s charm. Watching her navigate the chaos with unshakable determination was a delight, and her personal growth, alongside Nick’s transformation from playboy prince to true hero, added emotional depth to the story.

The world-building is whimsical and fresh, reimagining the North Pole with intriguing mythology and darker undercurrents. The Frost Queen is a compelling antagonist, and while the book hints at deeper lore, I found myself wishing for a bit more expansion—there’s so much potential for a series here! (Olivia Boothe, if you’re reading this, please give us more!)

The romance balances sweetness and spice, with some steamy moments that don’t overshadow the story’s heartwarming themes of redemption, courage, and teamwork. And yes, the cheeky holiday puns and magical chaos brought plenty of laughs along the way.

Highlights:
🎄 Enemies-to-lovers with a festive twist
🎄 A refreshingly strong FMC and a charming MMC with depth
🎄 Unique North Pole mythology
🎄 Humor, heart, and just the right amount of spice

Minor Grumbles:
🎄 The pacing felt a bit rushed at times—I wouldn’t have minded a longer book to delve deeper into the world and characters.
🎄 Miss Claus being problematic? Unexpected, and I need more context!

Overall, this book is a merry, romantic treat perfect for the holiday season. If you’re into reluctant royals, magical mischief, and saving Christmas with a side of steam, Winning the Christmas Prince’s Heart is an absolute must-read. Here’s hoping we get more from this enchanting world soon!

Thanks Netgalley for the arc, this was a cute short and spicy fun time, giving chestnut spring vibes but Xmas 🎄 Tropes - Enemies to lovers & slow burn Boothes style of writing is easy to follow and read. I like the Royal element to it too sweet and spicy 🌶️!

A quick spicy enemies to lovers holiday read with a lot going on. Head elf Alva has to help the rakish Prince of Christmas find a bride by Christmas Eve to prove he's ready to take on Santa Claus duties. There's also an evil force at work to ruin Christmas. Alva and Prince Nicholas are thrust together as they try to save the kingdom. Opens with spice, ends with spice. At just 112 pages, there's not enough time for true character development. It feels like Nicholas and Alva are suddenly obsessed with each other. Still, a fun read if you're looking for a little holiday magic. Thanks to NetGalley for the free read.

This is a cute short Christmas romcom, definitely one that you can. Read in one sitting. Nick is a spoiled heir to Christmas that doesn’t take his position seriously and she takes her job too seriously, but when his father gave him an alliterative that he is to marry someone in 2 weeks or he was going to be banished from Christmas land and his title given to one of his younger brothers. At the ball a few nights later they are informed that the reindeer are getting sick and it’s spreading to the others, he steps up to help her go to a healer so that Christmas can go on.

"Winning the christmas prince's heart" was my first ever Christmas book and I am very grateful that it was. WTCPH is a book that, despite its short duration, manages to keep you glued from beginning to end.
The book opens by introducing us to Nick, or Nicholas Claus, who despite being the future heir of Santa Claus does not seem to be inclined to a regular lifestyle, on the contrary, he is presented as a boy who is very dedicated to lust and mundane life. Annoyed by his lack of seriousness towards the real tasks that would fall to him , Santa Claus decides to put his son in a corner and forces him to find a wife before the winter solstice. The task of preparing the event is entrusted to the precise and workaholic Alva Brightwinter, chief elf of the kingdom. Their characters clash immediately, leading both to live a situation of annoyance every time the one collided with the other, but the advent of a catastrophic event will bring the two to come closer and to reassess the other person.

I loved how, despite the short duration of the story, the characters were well built and the plot follows a constant logical thread without ever getting lost. I would have preferred to have a background of Nick’s brother and the Frost queen because in my opinion, especially the latter would have added more plot to the book.
The spicy scenes are well distributed and well constructed.

In conclusion if you are looking for a light story to read during the Christmas time, WTCPH is the book for you!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Who would have thought that Santa Claus's heir was the naughtiest (and nicest) of all?
Winning the Christmas Prince's Heart is a very entertaining novel written by Olivia Boothe, with a beautiful cover for its simplicity, well-developed characters and landscapes that make you want to be there with the protagonists.
The story is aimed at adults, due to its explicit content, with a beginning in which it presents Nick Jr. as an indolent young man, dedicated to his pleasures and who apparently is not interested in his duties as heir to the throne of the North Pole.
Enter Alva Brightwinter, a methodical, responsible young elf and Head Elf, in charge of making sure that practically everything in the kingdom of Christmas works properly.
When the Frost Queen threatens to destroy his kingdom, Nicholas, with the help of Alva, must protect Christmas.
I think that with a little editorial work, this story could perfectly become a novel for teenagers.
I thank the author and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
The opinion I have expressed above is based solely on what I think and feel about this book.

A short novella about the future Santa and an elf he falls in love with. Some spicy scenes and some drama mixed in. A good palette cleanser.

This book was exactly what I expected, and I’m not mad about it. Was it literary genius? No. Did I enjoy the story? Yes. This is a quick spicy Christmas book with minimal world building and a lot of plot holes, making it a perfect palate cleanser requiring very littLe thought while reading.

“Tomorrow, you and I will do what is best for the realm. But today… today belongs to us, prince.”

Thank you Netgalley and author Olivia Boothe for allowing me the opportunity to read this novella.

It’s a very interesting take on Santa Claus. This novella stars Nicholas Claus Jr., Santa Claus’ son, Nick. The FMC is the head elf, Alva Brightwinter.

Nick is the carefree, irresponsible, naughty prince of Christmas. His father is tired of his ways and gives him two weeks to find himself a wife in hopes of settling down. Alva is tasked with arranging balls and dates for Nick. Add the Frost Queen into the mix and this novella is perfect for the christmas season.

I would definitely be interested in a full completed book or duology!

What a funny, cheeky, dirty little book, a great Christmas novella that actually could have been longer and I would have enjoyed it! I really liked the scandic references!
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read and review.

This was a cute book for the Christmas season. Alva is the North Pole's head elf, she's dedicated and hardworking. Nicholas is a playboy, and while he's charming he's also reckless. They have to work together to find Nicholas a new heir. Forced together to defeat the Frost Queen, their relationship takes a new step.
I loved their relationship and I also love how the book wasn't just focused on the romance but also the other things going on. It is a short story so many of the scenes felt rushed and incomplete, and I feel like some stuff skipped from one step to another without any explanations. Overall, I enjoyed this book, and it definitely got me in the mood for Christmas and I can't wait to check out more books from this author.

Little Elf

I thought this was a cute read. I usually cringe when so many words are substituted for a "Christmasy" version. I know that's kind of a thing with Christmas books. But this, I didn't mind it. I felt like the replacements made since and weren't too crazy.

What I struggled with was the relationship with the two characters. It felt like the beginning made us all to aware that neither person and ANY feelings what so ever for the other. But by the end they had always craved the other since their first meeting. It didn't feel at any point like they had been fighting their attraction for any amount of time.

Thank you for the advanced copy Olivia Boothe. This is a voluntary review.

He's naughty and she's nice. He's Santa's son and next in line for the throne and responsibility of Christmas. She's the Head Elf and it is her job to make sure that Christmas goes off without a hitch. That's all well and good until Santa insists that Nick find a bride and the Frost Queen tries to ruin Christmas. Now it's up to Nick and Alva to save the day.

This was a JOLLY good time. Even though Nick started out as a HOHOHO, he was likeable, and you rooted for him to change for the better. Alva was adorable the whole time and definitely had the CHESTNUTS to REINdeer in the prince and save Christmas. It was fun and short and SPICY.

This was such a fun and festive holiday read! I especially loved all of the nods to Christmas and the season, like the fact that the Frost Queen's son's name was Jack and references to Peppermint Martinis!

The Christmas Prince, Nick (aka Santa's son) is a rake who needs to find his match. Alva, Santa's uptight head elf, is supposed to be putting together a "The Bachelor"-style gala for Nick to find the next Mrs. Claus. When the reindeer fall ill, Nick and Alva are brought together to save Christmas from the Frost Queen and end up falling for each other. Spicy-ness ensues!

This novella was a really fun Fantasy read with a Christmas twist! Highly recommend reading during the holiday season!

This was such a cute, romantic, spicy novella from Olivia Boothe! I have to say I really enjoyed this book and truly could’ve enjoyed another 200 pages of Alva and Nicks story! They’re romance while quick to spark in to a raging inferno was interesting to see take off from a point of begrudgingly putting up with one another to full on willing to make sacrifices if it meant the other one was happy. And of course the characters of Alva and Nick are impossible not to love together, but separately they’re just as lovable! I loved that Alva was stubborn, and determined and had worked hard to gain the respect of her people but was willing to see the shades of grey in the world when it came to disobeying orders if it meant keeping the ones she loved safe. And Nick our playboy heir puts on such a funny, can’t be bothered to care attitude but deep down feels the weight of his upcoming mantle and while he absolutely was a wise guy I have to say I just loved Nick and how he handled himself, how he dealt with his feelings of becoming the next Santa, how he protected his realm even if the people doubted him, and how he stood up for and cared for Alva whether people agreed with him or not. I will say this though i absolutely despised Nicks parents for about 90% of this book, they were great at the very end but the rest of the book they were just awful to him and all those around them! So if any of that sounds like you’re cup of tea and you’re looking for something to get you into the Christmas spirit with just a touch of drama, adventure, romance, a touch of fantasy and just the right amount of spice than this book is an absolute must read!

HAPPY READING 📖

Nicholas Clause has spent his life avoiding responsibilities and being the life of the party at the North Pole. As heir to the Christmas throne, Nick is forced to face the weight of his father’s expectations when Santa tells Nick that he must find his future Mrs. Clause by Christmas. Alva Brightwinter is the North Pole’s head elf who puts her all into keeping Christmas running smoothly. What she doesn’t expect is to be in charge of helping Nick find his new bride. With the stress of Christmas and threats from the Frost Queen, the pair must work together to save the North Pole, but are they willing to sacrifice their hearts?

This sweet and spicy Christmas romance brought me straight to the North Pole. I love a fun Santa story and enjoyed the romance between Nick and Alva. This novella gave me the nostalgia every good Santa movie has, and I loved the adventures around the North Pole. This novella is perfect for anyone looking to spice up their Santa story.
