Growing up as a Reform Jew, I often did not know many of the Hebrew words for the Jewish practices that I learned. I absorbed more about Jewish customs and traditions through growing up with friends and family than I learned in Sunday School and Hebrew School. This book helped put a name to things that I know about but didn't know what they were called and also taught me new things. Easy to understand for both Jewish people and non-Jewish people, I recommend this book to people who are curious about learning about Jewish beliefs.

I really liked how Rabbi Stutman talks about the Jewish culture and religion and how it can be tied to other cultures.
I think she does a good job of explaining the Torah and how to integrate it into your life.
She explores different parts of the Jewish culture, like love, happiness, but even hate and how it affects who we are and can stand strong in our Jewishness.
