Clean Point written by Meg Jones and narrated by Mary Jane Wells and Patrick Zeller was a dual POV enemies to lovers/age gap/little bit of domsub/family drama tennis romcom. Meg Jones starts each chapter with a coordinating song that fits the mood of the character POV and chapter. Lots of Taylor Swift chapters. A great read or listen for any fans of romance and tennis both. It helps to understand the game of tennis to thoroughly enjoy the book.

I go back and forth of whether I liked this. At points I really enjoyed it and at other points it draggedddddd on and I was so uninterested in anything that was happening. this was my first tennis romance so maybe that just wasn’t my style?

“I wanted to prove it to everyone that while Scottie Rossi was dead and buried, Scottie Sinclair was back for revenge.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was so good!! I don’t know much about tennis but Scottie & Nico had me hooked! I love Scottie’s character & her being herself no matter what the tabloids or competitors said. She is who she is & didn’t take the easy way out when she could’ve. & her relationship with Nico blossomed in the sweetest way. Had me rooting for them the whole time! The audiobook was phenomenal!

Thank so much to HarperAudio & NetGalley for this Audiobook!

3.75 stars ⭐️ The plot was excellent! Mary Jane did a phenomenal job narrating for Scottie. The accent was perfect and I felt immersed in her scenes. But I was not vibing with the narrator for Nico.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio for the ALC.

If the 2004 movie Wimbledon gave you a good ol’ giggling and feetsie kicking time - then this is the book for you.

I really liked that Scottie and Nico were doubles partners in addition to battling their way in singles as well. I think it helped showcase how they built each other up in a number of ways.

I really really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of more serious themes that were addressed that added so much depth to the story. We explored the MC’s relationship with pain, but also empowerment and self worth. Everything revolved around building trust, but also navigating spaces where it was broken. It’s definitely more than your average fluffy sport’s romance. The audiobook was a dual POV with two narrators, which I always enjoy. I think I’ll be thinking about this book for a little bit. Well done, especially for a debut author. I look forward to reading the next ones!

Clean Point is my first tennis romance, and I think it just might’ve created an interest in the sport I didn’t have before. I was hooked from the beginning, loved the banter and chemistry between Nico and Scottie.

I was so excited to listen to this book! I havent read too many tennis romances, but this one was so fun.

Scottie and Nico have amazing chemistry, and I loved seeing them work through their own issues while working together as a team.

I loved the slow burn of the book and the evolution of the story. Jones really brings you in to what Scottie and Nico were going though.

I really enjoyed this book, and will definitely check out others by Jones.

Scottie is currently one of my favorite FMCs in a long time. I loved her character from the beginning! This is a slow burn sports romance that exceeded my expectations.

Mary Jane Wells (Scottie) and Patrick Zeller (Nico) did an amazing job narrating. My only critic is that I felt like Nico’s internal dialogue scenes were almost whispered? I had to rewind 30 seconds a few times because it would switch from regular talking to a more hushed tone and I would miss what was said.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and HarperAudio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was so fun. My first tennis romance and I loved the dynamic of these two. Patrick Zeller brought out the grumpiness in Niko perfectly! And Mary Jane’s accent was perfect for Scottie!

Quick Review

Scottie Sinclair is brought back into the world of tennis after a cheating scandal got her banned two years ago. Her new doubles partner and her old coach offer her a chance to get revenge on the man who ruined her career - her father.

Can Scottie really make a comeback after two years of being label a party girl, slut, and cheat by the tabloids?

Can Nico win a trophy at Wimbledon (potentially his last chance in his career) after a tough recovery from knee surgery?

Can the two make it through doubles training and Wimbledon without running the other one off with secrets hiding below the surface?

This book provides the angst, slow-burn, and characters that you cannot help but root for. Meg Jones scored points in every box for me.

While Scottie made a very major decision that I would not have made (to keep her father’s drugging quiet.) I think that given that decision the rest of the book played out well, and made sense. The romance was really well paced, and had a satisfying ending.

The two narrators were absolutely amazing and I loved their voices!

I will definitely be reading more by this author in the future!
Thank you Meg Jones, HarperAudio, and NetGalley for the ALC

Clean Point is an engaging, emotional read that explores resilience, identity, and the pressure to be perfect. Meg Jones delivers a compelling protagonist whose struggles feel raw and real, making it easy to connect with her journey. The writing is sharp, and the tennis world is vividly portrayed, though I wished for a bit more depth in some character arcs. Still, the story kept me hooked, and I appreciated the balance of heartache and hope. As a mom of a tennis player, the book was especially interesting to me. A solid, moving read! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC—I’m excited for others to experience this one.

This was my first tennis romance, and I NEED more! I loved the audiobook. The narrators did an amazing job bringing the story to life. The spice was done beautifully. I highly recommend it if you were looking for a sports romance, enemies-to-love.

Scottie was on top of the tenis world only to have everything come crashing down around her in a painful betrayal. She's spent two years in 'exile' and on the eve on her reinstatement, her old coach shows up with a crazy proposal. Train with Niko and become his mixed doubles partner.

I loved Clean Point and the dual narriation made the audio so fun! A friend recommended this to me and she was so right. Scottie was everything I like in a FMC. Strong, driven, and determined to do everything on her terms. And Niko is a MMC to swoon over. I loved their dynamic.

Thank you so much HarperAudio Adult and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in return of an honest review!

A disgraced tennis player followed by scandal is paired up with her father’s rival - they are both seeking revenge and redemption…and love? ❤️

This book came out of no where for me and is instantly one of my favorite romances now. The banter between Scottie and Nico had me laughing out loud while listening. Their communication, once started, is what I dream of when I read romance novels. You could feel the chemistry between Scottie and Nico every time they had a scene together. I am wondering where the coffee from?!

I also liked that the author went into how female athletes are treated in tabloids and the sports world. Also how females ARE allowed to have a life and have fun. That doesn’t make us horrible people without morals. Scottie is a perfect example of that!

There is a lot of tennis talk and I don’t play/watch tennis. I can’t say if it was factual but it sounded legit to me!

This audiobook was incredible! Jane Wells (Scottie) and Patrick Zeller (Nico) did a great job voice acting the characters - including the other gender voices! I listened at 2x and I felt every emotion each character was having. I’ll admit that Patrick’s emotions came out a bit more to me! And uhm…their narration during the spicy scenes had me wondering why I’m listening to this doing dishes around my family!

If you’re into sports romances, READ this book. It was such a fun read without the third act breakup so many romance books have.

First time Reading/Listening to a book by this author, and I thought it was well written. I received the ALC via Netgalley and I Loved it. The narrators were well-spoken and got me into the book. There are times when the narrators just bore me to death, but these two were great! The storyline was also great, the beginning had me a bit on edge because of her Dad and the way she had to be because of him! Really had me intrigued the whole time! Thank you Netgalley, Meg Jones, and HarperAudio adult for the ALC. 🙏

This book did not disappoint! I am not sure I had read a tennis book before but goodness did this make we want to find more! The combo of Scottie as a sassy, driven, fun FMC and Nico the grumpy, "old", protective MMC made for such a great dynamic! Loved seeing the healing and growth on both sides!

The audiobook was great! Highly recommend!

Big thanks for the the ALC!
