A cute and fun romance with a classic grumpy-sunshine pairing. Preston and Natalie have great banter, and their opposites-attract dynamic makes for an entertaining read. The setting at Hott Springs resort adds to the charm, and the story moves along at a good pace.

However, the plot is very predictable, and it didn’t feel particularly unique. While the characters are likable, I didn’t feel deeply connected to their romance. It’s an enjoyable, light read but not one that really stands out.

If you’re looking for a sweet and easy romance, this is a solid choice. Just don’t expect too many surprises!

Some like it Hott is the 3rd book in the “Hott Springs Eternal” series by Serena Bell. I have never read the author or the series so it can definitely be read standalone.

This story follows one of the Hott siblings as they try and complete their outstanding task in their grandfather’s will. In order to keep the family property and the spa retreat that sits on it, the siblings have to complete certain tasks or the property will be sold to a mining company.

Preston Hott moved away from home after college. He is a super successful banking executive in New York and after a disastrous short marriage, he hasn’t been back home

He gets summoned by his grandfathers lawyer to complete his designated activity and it couldn’t be the worse time. Right in the middle of a deal that will guarantee him the promotion he’s been looking for.

Natalie Archer is excited to start her new job as the Hott Springs Eternal Activities Manager. After catching her longtime boyfriend in a very unwork like embrace with a coworker, she’s determined to move on and have some fun while she’s at it.

Natalie is paired with Preston and the deadline is looming. How are two complete opposites going to come together and create a successful program in such a short period of time. Especially when one of them hasn’t even considered the word fun in years.

As Natalie learns to bring the fun out of Preston, Helen realizes that maybe what he’s been missing all along is some fun in his life.

This was a cute, quick read. There are some spicy scenes which I loved and this was definitely a grumpy/sunshine vibe! This is my first by this author but won’t be my last. I’d like to catch up on this series and the one before that leads into this one! This is a 4 star read for me.

Disclaimer: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Some Like It Hott is a delightful romantic comedy that pairs opposites in a high-stakes, fun-filled scenario. The book features two strong-willed protagonists: the ultra-serious, no-nonsense Mr. Serious, and the carefree, fun-loving queen of party planning, Natalie Archer. Both are forced to work together when their paths cross at a family wedding resort, where the fate of a beloved piece of land hangs in the balance.

The plot kicks off when the protagonist, Mr. Serious, inherits the impossible task of organizing activities for resort guests after his grandfather’s will stipulates it. If he fails, he loses the family property. To make things even more complicated, he’s up for a major promotion at his finance job, but to prove himself as a "team player," he needs to work with Natalie Archer. While he thrives in structure and spreadsheets, Natalie thrives in fun and spontaneity. The sparks fly between them almost immediately, creating a delicious tension that drives the narrative forward.

A cute fluffy easy lighthearted read. I didn’t read the first two in the series, so I thought I would be at a disadvantage but I wasn’t! It’s definitely fine as a standalone. I always love a good workplace romance, forced proximity situation. The resort plot, while played out, is a classic. Natalie and Preston’s chemistry was so fun to read, but I really loved the outside family dynamic that was showcased. You could really sense the love that was radiating throughout the pages.

Those who love grumpy x sunshine tropes, with a story like the fluffy version of ‘The Inheritance Games’ then this book would be a perfect choice for your romantic read this February! Some Like it Hott is the third book of the Hott Springs Eternal series with Preston Hott as the main lead, the grumpy serious but Hot Hott brothers *100% pun intended*

His meticulously planned career is now at risk as he was put in a position to save his family resort and the only way to do it is to bring fun for the resort’s guests. Worse, he has to work together with Natalie Archer, the queen of fun–who is the total opposite of him, and unfortunate for him that their chemistry seems to hit the level of hot 🔥

Time is ticking and the decision needs to be made, whether he follows his heart to be with Natalie or accept the promotion in his office and leave her, and the big question: could they finally find their happy-ever-after?

I think in terms of plot, I’d say that this one is very obvious, the classic grump fell in love with the sunshine, the opposite attract, and so on. But what makes them special is the bond between the brothers and in-laws, I love how the characters from the previous books come so we could experience their interaction with each other–also with the easter eggs of the next book in line!

Character-wise, I am very intrigued with Natalie’s life–how she loves to add fun to everybody’s life and how it became her passion yet her family doesn't consider her job ‘stable’ as her career. It is how she finally realizes her worth and how she shines from that–and of course, loves how Preston supports her through her development. I really adore their support with each other tho, I think it is what makes them special.

One hell of fluffy workplace romance, grumpy x sunshine, and small-town romance, if any of those ticked your requirements for your next read then this book is your perfect choice!

The third book in the Hott Springs Eternal series was a fun and quick read. Natalie is all sunshine and fun while dealing with all life has thrown at her and Preston is the grump to her sunshine. These mcs are complete opposites but blend so well together. As in the rest of this series I love how the Hott brothers are doing everything they can to save their land for their sister.

I loved seeing some of Bell's previous characters and I cant wait to see what comes next for the Hott siblings

*thank you netgalley for this arc*

Another crazy inheritance clause for another of the Hott Siblings - this time, Preston Hott is forced to return to Rush Creek from NYC in the middle of a huge financial deal which is going to get him the huge promotion he’s worked his entire career for… when Weggers, their grandfather’s estate lawyer, shows up with his untimely inheritance demands from grandfather’s will…

Preston must immediately return home and create an entertainment and activities program for the family resort, Hott Springs Eternal Lodge, or the land will be sold to the mining company (same story as all of his siblings).

Meanwhile, the lovely Natalie was just hired by Hanna Hott to be the new activities coordinator. She also just had a disappointing break-up with her boyfriend. Moving into the lodge’s accommodations has proven to be very … unusual … for her!

Meeting Preston Hott? Well, that makes for an extremely interesting story, as well!

If anyone is looking for a riot of a good time and literary all of the tropes - look no further than Some Like It Hott! Workplace romance, grumpy sunshine, best ever meet cute, neighbors, close proximity, opposites attract, romcom, the list just goes on! It’s Bell’s usual brilliance and her fantastic humor. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book. Definitely a recommendation from me!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Jelsba Media Group, and this is my honest feedback.

Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️/5

I mean it was cute and fluffy but that's all it was, cute and fluffy, nothing else.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
Natalie Archer is the girl who is always “the fun one.” She’s the person you go to for a good time, and her family doesn’t really take her seriously because they’re all doctors, lawyers, or accountants (something fancy like that) and she isn’t. Because of this, her mom doesn't really think she has succeeded in life. At the start of the book she’s in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, and one day she surprises him at a coffee shop to discover he’s been having an emotional affair with a colleague. She breaks it off with him and moves out. Now Natalie finds herself homeless and single, but she has just gotten a job as their entertainment manager at the local resort.

Things get a little crazy because, similar to an adult version of The Inheritance Games, the family who owns the Hot Springs Eternal Resort, has a crazy deceased grandfather who in his will stated that "in order to claim your inheritance, you need to complete X and Y". It’s grumpy Preston Hott's turn to receive his "envelope" and he learns his challenge is to create a highly rated entertainment program at the resort. This could not come at a more inopportune time since he is just about to land the largest merger of his carrier which will guarantee his promotion.

On Natalies first day, Preston FIRES HER but is overruled by his sister (who actually manages the resort) and says the two will need to work together as Natalie has the experience Preston needs to succeed. So now the two have no choice BUT to work together and it makes you wonder if Natalie can add a little fun to Preston's life and if he will be able to overcome their differences and remove that stick-up-his-ass attitude.

Preston is a bit of a dick, he is super prideful and has this need to prove himself or more prove to his grandfather that he will succeed at life in NY when his grandfather always told him he would amount to nothing. He’s determined to make it big in New York, and now that he’s been sent back to his hometown, he’s questioning who he really is.

The more time he spends with Natalie, the more he realises that everything he’s been working toward might not align with what he truly wants. However, his stubborn nature makes it difficult to admit his grandfather could be right about a few things, and he struggles to accept that a bit of love, fun, and letting loose now and then might not be so bad after all.

I feel like this book fits that “perfect for a movie” vibe, where they fall for each other because they "spend so much time together", but you don’t see enough of that development, you see this quick montage of them hanging out, and in the book are just told, "they have hung out and spent time together". I wanted a bit more substance in watching them grow close.

Some Like It Hott is book three in the Hott Springs Eternal series by Serena Bell.
This series just keeps getting better and better.
This book was just delightful. I am a fan of Serena Bell (if you haven’t read her Wilde series, you should check it out.
This book hooked me in from the first chapter. I loved the character development and how the story progressed.
Very entertaining, the story was nice, and I enjoyed it and will be reading Serena Bell’s other books in the future and will be looking forward to the next book she releases.

This is a FIVE ALARM FIRE!!! Talk about Hott!! Preston is... *chefs kiss* Ok he's hot (with two Ts) but also rigid and controlled, the worst kind of finance dude. All numbers, no fun. Natalie is a free spirit, brings joy to every moment, and excells at making life happier. Watching these two have to work together was SO MUCH FUN!!!

SOME LIKE IT HOTT is the third instalment in Serena Bell’s contemporary, adult HOTT SPRINGS ETERNAL erotic, romance series focusing on the HOTT siblings: Quinn, Shane, Preston, Tucker, Rhys, and their sister Hanna (Wilder at Last 5/ Wilder Adventures)-a spin off from the author’s WILDER ADVENTURES series. This is New York investor Preston Hott, and Natalie Archer’s story line.

SOME BACKGROUND: The HOTT Springs Eternal series focuses in the aftermath of the death of the Hott family patriarch. Grandfather Fox Hott has a number of stipulations and guidelines if the siblings are to inherit the family fortune. Each sibling is required to honor their late grandfather’s request if their sister Hanna is to keep the HOTT Springs resort in Rush Creek. If the orders of the will are not adhered to, the land and everything on it will be sold to an international mining company.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Preston and Natalie) SOME LIKE IT HOTT follows Natalie Archer when she is hired as the activities coordinator for Hott Springs Eternal Lodge but from the outset she is paired with Preston Hott, a financial investor who wants nothing to do with his grandfather’s will. A caveat in the will forces all of the Hott siblings to partake in the build-up of the Hott Spring Resort, and Preston is tasked with developing an all-ages activities program and festival alongside our story line heroine. As our couple ‘endure’ a trial of sorts partaking in all of the potential activities, Preston finds himself drawn to a woman he should not want, as his time at Hott Springs Lodge draws to an end.

The world building follows Natalie and Preston as they navigate the activities and events planned for Hott Springs Lodge. Natalie continues to struggle with a recent betrayal, as Preston battles the ghosts from his past, ghosts he has yet to reveal to his siblings and friends.

The relationship between Natalie and Preston begins as grumpy/sunshine . Preston doesn’t want or need someone else telling him what to do but Preston has no idea about setting up activities at the lodge, something Natalie is overly excited to do. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, we are reintroduced to the Hott siblings and some of the significant others: Preston’s PA Franklin: Natalie’s ex Lloyd; as well as her bitter and controlling mother.

SOME LIKE IT HOTT is a story of family and friendships, power and control. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the romance is fated and impassioned; the characters are stubborn and determined.

I love the Rush Creek world and all the books in it.

Natalie is known as the "fun" girl, and after being cheated on by her ex and treated like trash, she's done with people not taking her seriously and determined for her life to be considered valid. She's excited to start at Hott Springs Eternal as their new activities coordinator and start her plan, she isn't even going to be fazed by the owner's brother suddenly working with her and trying to fire her.

Preston is so close to finally proving his grandfather wrong and making it to the top of the finance world so the last thing he needs is to be sent back home to make an activities program so his sister doesn't lose her business (oh granddad's devious will!). No one would describe Preston as fun so to be told he has to entertain people...thankfully he has a professional....one who isn't intimidated by him and makes him want to smile and teases him and he can't stop imagining dancing topless...

They both need to figure out what THEY want in life, and if they're just living it for other people or themselves?

Thank you for characters who communicate like normal human beings, Serena. And for once again writing characters that have such great chemistry! I read this so quickly and the tension and yearning between Natalie and Preston definitely kept me glued to the page.

And omg Preston is SO sweet (iykyk)! His development was particularly enjoyable. And as a couple, they became a real partnership which I loved!

I can't wait for the next installment in the series and for the chaos their granddad and Arthur will cause *mwahaha*!

Thank you to NetGalley and Jelsba Media Group for an arc in exchange for an honest review!

Read for: opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, finance bro MMC, divorcee MMC, no third-act breakup!, insta-lust (despite the dislike)

Some like it Hott
By: Serena Bell

She’s spunky he’s grumpy?

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

When two people are Seemingly so different is forever even a possibility? Preston has definitely met his match in perky Natalie but he’s going to make it work. The authors writing is flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors blurb: She’s nothing he wants. And everything he needs.

Preston: I’m Mr. Serious, the guy they call “all work and no play.” So of course my grandfather’s sadistic will has put me in charge of fun at the family’s wedding resort. I have just a few weeks to come up with an all ages activities program for the resort’s guests or lose my family’s land forever. Meanwhile, the clock’s ticking at my finance firm, where I’m up for a huge promotion if I can prove I’m a team player.

Worse, I have to work with the reigning queen of fun, Natalie Archer. If there’s a party, Natalie’s there, and she’s the one dancing on the tables. She doesn’t think much of my suits, ties, cufflinks, and spreadsheets, and I don’t think much of her fun-first–safety-last attitude. But for some reason, I can’t stop thinking about her gorgeous curves, wild curly hair, or sparkling smile. I’m a man who values self control and I’m running low.

Natalie launches Operation Fun to help me loosen up and win the promotion I’ve been chasing. Now we’re spending days and nights together and learning that some activities are a lot of fun for both of us. But as our deadline approaches and our collaboration heats up, Natalie and I find ourselves asking a big question: Opposites may attract, but can they live happily ever after?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in single POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

Preston and Natalie are a classic opposites-attract type of couple. She is an activities/party planner, and he is a high-stress finance guy. She loves living in a smaller city, and he’s the king of his NYC world. Yet, as is the case with all of the Hott brothers, Preston must find a way to work in a field he wants nothing to do with and with a woman he can’t help falling in love with.

This couple touched me, even before they came together. As much as Preston portrays himself as ice cold and untouchable, it’s obvious that isn’t true, especially with his sister and niece. Soon that soft spot inside spreads to include Natalie. Once he gives her a chance, his respect for her and what she does quickly grows. Preston doesn’t like the idea that anyone, be it Natalie’s ex or her family, would not appreciate the amazing person she is. Natalie sees the real Preston even while he tries to hide that side of himself.

As has become obvious with this series, there is a formula for what is happening. It’s not a bad thing, and even the characters point it out. Each brother falls in the same yet different way. They get in their heads and mess things up, but true love conquers all. Isn’t that what a romance book should be about?

While this is a fun and fast read that gave me some warm fuzzies, some things took me out of the story a few times. One was the movie references that didn’t make sense for people of the character’s ages. There was a lot of When Harry Met Sally talk, among some other movies, for people who seem to be in their late 20s or early 30s. Having kids in this age group, these things are glaring to me when they occur. It’s fine for a certain demographic when reading a book, but a younger audience may find it dated and gasp may not even understand the reference.

Opposites collide in Some Like It Hott, when the broody business man, Preston Hott, is forced to pair up with the fun and adventurous Natalie Archer.

Some Like it Hott is the third book in the Hott Springs Eternal series by Serena Bell and it was just as fun and swoonworthy as the previous books! I really enjoyed the character development and the tension and spice between our two MCs was perfect.

I particularly loved how much we got to see the Wilder families and how far they have come since their stories! I cannot wait to read the next two books with our final two Hott brothers!

I received this advanced copy from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

A fun quick read that is full of humor but has lots of heart. This was a great rom-com to escape into. The author writes great laugh out loud moments and there were a lot of them in this book. But she also writes characters that pull at the heart strings. Both of the main characters have been wounded both by family relationships and love relationships. While they were more opposite than alike, their understanding of the other was well written. The book is a fast read and a lot of fun. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this small town romance with all sorts of small town chaos and crazy characters.
This is the third book in the Hott series and can be read as a stand alone.

Natalie is hired as the New Events Coordinator and Preston Hott is forced by his grandfather’s will return to Rush Creek to also work as his family business event organizer. This is not a good time for Preston to return to Rush Creek due to him being up for promotion at his finance job in New York. The problem is that Preston is super uptight and grumpy and Natalie is fun, energetic and has a sunshine personality. What could go wrong?

Tropes within this book are:
Opposites attract
Forced Proximity
Grumpy vs Sunshine
Small-Town Romance
Found family

I didn’t like this book as much as the other two books. It had the same format as the other two but it just couldn’t keep me interested. The chemistry wasn’t there between Natalie and Preston and I couldn’t feel a deep connection between the two. Sadly I found the story to be a bit boring, repetitive and a bit obvious.

I would recommend this series to readers who love a spicy, feel good small town romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this gifted eARC. All opinions are all my own.

This was the third book in the series and eventhou i havent read the first two. I didn't feel like i was missing any information etc so it works amazingly as a standalone aswell and it was just so easy to step into this world!

I liked the main characters as well as their character development seen throughout the story which was super nice. I liked their chemistry and connection. The side characters were also likable and quite funny!

I feel like this book was definitely a cute romance read where I didn't have to worry too much about remembering details or understanding world building and I could just enjoy the story and the romance within it.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an advanced reader copy. All thoughts are my own.

Review will be placed on Amazon once published.

This is a grumpy x sunshine romance between Mr. Not-Equipped-For-Fun Preston and Ms. All-About-Fun Natalie. Preston has to complete this task his grandfather set out for his part of will, by creating an all-ages activities program for the Rusk Creek Resort. However, he has a promotion to keep track of when he suddenly has a partner assigned to complete the task. Natalie, who’s hired to be the activities coordinator has been assigned to the job and now they have to come together to make it come into fruition.

The formula for this romance was a bit generic but I loved the elements of found family, saving family legacy, and proving other people wrong. Natalie and Preston couldn’t be anymore opposites on the surface, however, are a lot similar that they think. I loved their interactions and especially Natalie because she was herself to the core and didn’t really let anyone tell her otherwise. I think it helped Preston a lot while they were partners on this project. It was also fun discovering what they like to do together and how supportive they are of each other. I do think that if you really liked the Dreamland Billionaire series by Lauren Asher, you will love this book!

Thank you to the Jelsba Media group and NetGalley this E – ARC .
