Serious businessman Preston inherits a challenge: revitalize his family’s resort, or lose it to a mining company. Forced to collaborate with free-spirited event planner Natalie, he finds himself unexpectedly drawn to her, creating a conflict between his ambition and a burgeoning attraction. Can opposites truly find lasting happiness?

This novel is fast-paced and engaging. Preston and Natalie are so much fun! I enjoyed watching them grow together.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Preston is all work and no play, with a focus and determination to rule the New York finance scene. Unfortunately for him, the will his grandpa set out has other plans. He's forced to take time off to return to his small home town, and work with endlessly fun party-girl Natalie, in hopes to save his family land. Instead, she's made it her mission to introduce him to fun again and break him out of his grumpy mood once and for all.

This is the third book in the Hott brothers series, and I haven't read the other two, so I went in blind! It was sweeter and more heartfelt than I expected, which made it such an easy read to sink into. I loved Natalie's brazen confidence and seeing her find joy in every interaction, including the awkward moments she didn't let settle. Seeing her stand up to Preston and push back against him was entertaining from both perspectives, and I loved how we instantly saw his reaction to a challenge.

The external characters were fun and engaging, and you could feel the difference between the warmth and community of Rush Creek and the stark coldness of Preston's life prior. I also genuinely appreciated the lack of a third act breakup, as it didn't fit the characters at all. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and will definitely go back and read the other 2 to round it out!

This was a strong third entry in the Hott Springs Eternal series, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall feel of this. The characters were everything that I wanted and thought the romance concept worked well overall. It left me wanting to read more in this world and from Serena Bell.

Sweet and sexy. A lovely enemies to lovers book with some great comedy moments along the way. Great family feeling too. A cost read.

I LOVED this book! Even though I haven't read the previous books (but I will be now), this completely worked as a standalone.
The chemistry between Natalie and Preston was FIRE. Can't beat a rivals to lovers romance.
This was also a really funny book, I kept finding myself chuckling out loud. A pretty light-hearted read that feels like a warm hug.

Sweet and spicy.
6 spice scenes. Workaholic, wound tight MMC, and the FMC that teaches him how to have fun again.
I didn't love them as much as the other couples. I did like the games and adventures.
But once again if you tell me about a couple talking about open to toys and not seeing them as competition, I better get them using them together.
I did swoon a little over Preston and his niece.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The romance was so fun and the plot was very well thought out and I could not put it down!

I think the concept and writing of this book was really well executed. However, it also felt very cookie-cutter and predictable in the same breath. The characters were well thought out, but I found it hard to really connect to any of them. This also felt very similar to some other books I've read previously from other authors, and maybe that was the issue?
Very well executed writing, and the banter was great though!

It was fun to dip back into this world. Enjoyed seeing the serious brother reformed into a fun brother.

Both Preston and Natalie are stuck in their archetypes. Preston is solely focused on climbing the career ladder while Natalie struggles to find a “career” at all instead always being the one only good for a good time.

Cue Hott springs and a hilarious and heartwarming opposites attract.

I’m weak at the knees for a grumpy uptight MMC so Preston was absolute perfection, especially knowing how into Natalie he was from day one.

Their chemistry was great and the spice and burn exactly the right level for a rom com.

Devoured this in a single sitting!

Now I have to go back and read the other Brother’s stories.

This is the third book in the series following the Preston aka Finance man. I really enjoyed this book which was well written and had a great storyline. I enjoyed seeing the event coordinatar aspect of a venue and found it really fun. The setting is still the same but we get to see more choas like before. I loved how fun the book was with the games. This book is told from both Natalie and Preston’s pov.

Natalie is know as someone who plays and never works. Her parents are disappointed with her and her boyfriend broke up with her. In some ways I felt really connected with her. I loved seeing her develop and become confident of who she is. Then we have Preston who is known to just work. I loved seeing him get out of his shell and finding true love. Both characters were just amazing. There are many side characters and those from the other series. This book is steamy with enemies to friends to lovers and forced proximity.

The ending was great and I enjoyed this story. In all honesty I enjoyed books 1 and 2 more because I just like the men from those books a lot more. I’m excited to read the next book in the series which is Rhys. I have been waiting for his book and am excited he’s next.

While this is the third book in a series with an ongoing plot regarding a grandfather’s Will, Some Like It Hott can be read as a standalone. I wasn’t lost and was able to jump right in.

Preston Hott is given a task within the Statutes of Will with rules and a time limit that made for an interesting plot and certainly brought him and Natalie, the female MC, together in interesting ways. I loved all of the, sometimes, outlandish activities that were mentioned, but it also made me want to visit this resort and try them out.

Natalie Archer has just started as the activities coordinator, at Preston’s sister’s resort and spa, and part of Preston’s task involves coordinating activities. He spends quite a bit of with Natalie and their forced proximity brings about a working friendship that leads to more.

At first Preston’s isn’t happy about being there, he’d rather be in New York working at his full time job than at his sister’s resort planning activities for guests, but the longer he’s there he begins to loosen up and actually enjoy his time, especially with the lovely and sunshiny Natalie.

As for me, who is just joining the cast of characters, I got to know the Hott family and more about what brought the previous couples together, without diving too much into the past. It was the perfect blend of colorful characters while the main ones were falling for one another. Basically, this book is fun, an easy read, with the perfect amount of steam.

3/5 ⭐️ 1.5-2/5 🌶️
This cute romance gave all the normal cuddles and feels that a contemporary romance book gives. You had the banter, angst and cute vibes. The MFC is a spunky woman who knows her worth and likes to dance in her bra! The MMC is a New York tycoon that doesn’t know how to have fun in life. I loved the clash of how they both liked each other right off the bat but because they were working together they couldn’t show it! So cute and an easy read.

If you're looking at this book and thinking, "This looks like fun," I'm going to say, "Yes, but it's even more fun if you back up and start with 'Hott Shot,' the first book in Bell's Hott Springs Eternal series." Because even though this can be read as a stand-alone, there's a thread of context that goes through the series which adds to what happens in "Some Like It Hott." (You may even want to go all the way back through the "Wilder Adventures" series. And there are *just a few* callbacks to Bell's Tierney Bay series... I'm not stopping you.)

Bell's superpower is that she can take a premise which can either read as absolutely bonkers ("His GRANDFATHER'S WILL is FORCING HIM to be an EVENT COORDINATOR in SMALL-TOWN OREGON") or as a clichéd re-run ("New York investment banker returns to the small town where he grew up to rescue the family business...") and the actual result is neither bonkers nor clichéd. The reason is that her characters are not cardboard cutouts or inflatable dolls or the illustrated comics on the cover; they're fully realized people with reasonable backgrounds which have led them reasonable places. And that makes it easy to fall into her books, nodding and saying to yourself, "Yeah, I can imagine how that would feel," and then discover you're halfway through and you actually care about these characters' problems and situations.

Except this lawyer. With every book in this series, I am getting more curious about Arthur Weggers. We need to figure out what makes that dude tick.

This was fun but I wish it was a bit longer. I just wanted to see them do more cute stuff together.

Serena Bell’s ‘Some Like It Hott’ is another fun and sexy romantic comedy from her Hott Springs Eternal series.

This novel includes the following tropes:

• Opposites attract
• Grumpy vs. sunshine
• Small-town romance
• Found family

In this installment, we’re treated to a classic opposites-attract, grumpy/sunshine dynamic between Preston, a workaholic investment banker, and Natalie, the “underachieving” but brilliant activity coordinator and people person.

Once again, Grandfather Hott disrupts one of the Hott brothers’ lives through his will. To fulfill his obligations, Preston Hott is forced to temporarily relocate from New York—jeopardizing his career—and work closely with Hott Springs’ newest employee, Natalie. With two hot(t)-tempered personalities, sparks inevitably fly.

I recommend ‘Some Like It Hott’ to readers who love a well-written, feel-good small-town romance with plenty of heat and heart.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

What happens when a fun loving woman crosses paths with a serious grump? Fireworks! Natalie Archer is the reigning queen of fun. She’s just accepted a position at Hott Springs Eternal is a new activities coordinator. This is her dream job, but when she’s forced to work with Preston Hott in order for him to comply with the stipulations of his grandfather’s will, she finds it’s more than she’s bargained for.

Much like the first book in the series, this is a fun, angst free novel with lots of spice. I appreciate that Ms. Bell creates well round characters who openly communicate with each other. Let’s face it the old miscommunication trope is tired.

I loved watching Natalie and Preston especially let their guards down. The way their relationship unfolded was lovely. Preston has a major character growth as he begins to discover what truly matters in his life. I appreciate that he and Natalie really talked about their concerns regarding his return to NY. They bring out the best in each other. The grand gesture was pretty epic, I will say.

Having read the excerpt for Rhys’s book next, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

Third in a series focused on a family in Rush Creek who have fulfilled their grandfather’s wacky willed wishes, this story centers around Preston, an investment banker in NYC. Once a previous brother carried out his grandfather’s unusual request from the grave, Preston finds out it is his turn, and he is called back to Rush Creek to line up fun-filled activities with the activities coordinator of Hott Springs Resort, Natalie. Natalie Archer is known for fun and little by little, she pulls Preston out of his stodgy shell and into the spirit of the will’s intended purpose.

I really enjoy Serena Bell’s Hott novels - they’re an ensemble cast of family and friends who get along, ridiculous grandfather demands from the grave, chemistry with their main character and decent storytelling. It is a quick read, and there are more novels to come within the series. I do feel like the beginning was rushed and it stood out to me, it was almost as if it was quickly trying to get through the introduction and onto the romance - but it ironed itself out eventually. I definitely recommend this novel as a fun escapist read, and I suggest reading them all to get the full scope of the town of Rush Creek and the Hott family.

But - the cover? All the covers need serious help.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Natalie & Preston ❤️

🎈Event co-ordinator Natalie thrilled with her new job at Hott Springs Eternal resort, but when she goes to tell her boyfriend, she finds him canoodling with his colleague.

🎈Preston’s late grandfather’s attorney catches up with him and he finds out the condition of the will is that he must come home and set to the events for his sister’s business.

🎈When Natalie’s brand of charming fun meets the serious, recently divorced, New York finance guy, he couldn’t be less thrilled.

📚This is the third book in the series and while the books are probably best read in order, I think they can be read as standalones. What I liked the most about this story is the way that Preston and Natalie saw each other and what made each tick. The story gets steamy quickly, but it’s a light read despite the emotion coming out from both.

I just became a fan of Serena Bell! This book, even though it is number 3 in a series, was enjoyable as a standalone for me. I liked the witty banter and dialogue. The characters so entertained me. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
