I’m obsessed with the cover!! That painted sunset sky with a shooting star behind the VW bus (Bessie)? Please, someone transport me there for a camping trip, s’mores by the fire, lightning bugs aglow, shooting stars bringing all my childhood imagination alive! Ok, obviously I was feeling the vibes from the get-go, but the story captured me as well. It was a slow and steady pace, enemies-to-lovers murder mystery vibe set in Northern Cali. The characters were nice - Colt, the sheriff, is grumpy and hesitant while Ridley is determined and naively brave Podcaster investigating cold cases, a career sparked after having lost her twin sister. I liked the dynamic and the build up. And can I just say...her nipples are more alert than a city girl jacked on Starbucks.

Short synopsis: Ridley goes to small town Shady Cove to investigate a cold case in her True Crime Podcast. She’s there because of the ties to her own sister’s disappearance. But the broody police chief keeps getting in the way.

My thoughts: I’ve just started dipping into romantic suspense, and if you’re a thriller and romance fan you need to pick up Catherine Cowles! She nailed both aspects so well! I can’t wait to pick up more!

I used to listen to tons of true crime podcasts, so I always enjoy a podcast element in a book. Ridley was such a strong FMC, because of the tragedy she’d faced is the disappearance of her sister. I love how she turned her tragedy into trying to help others!

Colt was hard to love at the the beginning, but I think his rough exterior was for a purpose! I liked how much he cared for Ridley’s wellbeing even before he knew her. He was so tender with his sister, and sweet with his dog.

I enjoyed watching the romance blossom and really enjoyed the twist at the end and how all the pieces came together.

I did a dual read with audio and physical, I absolutely loved both formats. The narrators told the story so well and really brought the characters to life for me! Thank you @sourcebooks and @Dreamscapemedia for copies of this book!

Read if you love:
- Enemies with benefits
- True crime podcasts
- Animal sidekicks
- Dual POV
- Grumpy/Sunshine

I think this might be my new favorite Catherine Cowles book. I was hooked from page one and didn't want to put the book down. I read an eARC and then also listened to the audio, it was THAT good! It is classic Catherine - I had no idea who the bad guy was but wow I had fun guessing. I don’t want to spoil anything but pleaseeee pick it up asap! The narration was phenomenal and so is the writing.

Catherine!!!! You had me on the edge of my seat yet again! 10/10 - no notes. 👌

If you love true crime podcasts and romance novels - definitely pick up All the Missing Pieces. The twists in Catherine's books are always on point - I can never see them coming - but this one especially had me rioting during the reveal.

Ridley - a true crime podcaster cat mom - and Colt - a grumpy small-town sheriff - had amazing chemistry. They quickly fell for one another, but the slow burn before they gave in was delicious. I am always a sucker for a grumpy/sunshine couple and these two were so much fun.

I truly think Catherine writes the best novels with small-town settings including found families, quirky characters, and perfect comedic timing. But All the Missing Pieces is my new favorite Catherine Cowles recommendation - please read it. I can't wait to return to Shady Cove!

“The way you move. Like a godd*mned work of art. Could spend a lifetime memorizing all the ways you bend and bow.”
Catherine Cowles does it again!! Colt and Ridley are spectacular. The push and pull. The mystery. The suspense. And let me just say, I thought I had it figured out AND I WAS SO WRONG I WAS FLOORED BY THE PERSON!!! Like didn’t see it coming at all. Big thank you for both the eARC and ALC!! The narrators did a spectacular job and I went back and forth between the two for a seamless experience!

RATING: ♾️⭐️
SPICE: 🌶️🌶️

Well I need this book turned into a movie ASAP!

It was absolutely spectacular and at this point I’m convinced Catherine Cowles can do no wrong. She is hands down my favorite romantic suspense writer and nothing will ever change my mind I’m also convinced she’s part evil genius because the plots and twists and turns she comes up with… I am sat.

I adored this book and got sucked all the way in from the begining. Colt and Ridley are one of my favorite couples I have read, their trauma, their dads, their tension… it all makes for one of the best grumpy x sunshine’ pairings ever.

And he calls her chaos. If I knew nothing else about this book, I would read it just for that.

✨ True Crime Podcaster x small town Sheriff
⭐️ Grumpy x Sunshine
✨ Romantic Suspense
⭐️ He Falls First
✨ Heroine in Danger
⭐️ A three-legged cat named Tater
✨ Enemies to Lovers

Colt and Ridley meet when someone accuses her of leaving her cat in a van (don’t worry, Tater had AC) and they instantly get off on the wrong foot. She’s a true crime podcaster investigating a string of ☠️ and he wants nothing to do with her or it because his sister was the first victim. These two get under each other’s skin in the very best ways and the tension explodes from there. And there is so so much tension.

Everything is paced perfectly in this, the suspense and romance are woven together so well. I melted into a puddle on the floor when Colt growled “who did this to you” and the spice was so good, I was overheating.

Ans of course, as usual I did not guess the bad guy. I’m like 0 for 15 at this point 😂

Thank you, Catherine, for this ARC/ALC! I’m already planning which of your books to dive into next because if they’re anything like this book, I’m in for a treat.

Where do I even start with this one? All the Missing Pieces gave me everything I didn't know I needed—romance, suspense, murder mystery vibes, and those small-town secrets that make your heart race.

The story follows our FMC, a fearless podcaster determined to solve cold cases, and a broody small-town sheriff who's not thrilled about her sniffing around his quiet town. Their banter? Perfection. Their chemistry? Off the charts. And let’s just say, the small-town vibes were chef’s kiss. I could almost feel the autumn breeze and hear the whispers of the town’s secrets.

The suspense had me hooked from the very first chapter. Catherine Cowles masterfully weaves the romance and mystery together, keeping you on the edge of your seat while rooting for the characters. The twists? Didn’t see them coming! And can we talk about the sheriff? The ultimate grumpy protector with a soft side that sneaks up on you. He’s impossible not to love.

This was my first book by Catherine Cowles, and let me just say, this is where my journey with her books begins. I’m officially a fan! And the audiobook? WOW. The narrators truly brought these characters to life. Their voices perfectly captured the tension, the emotions, and all the small-town charm.

If you love small-town romances with a suspenseful edge, go pick this up ASAP!

I listened to the audio version of this book, and I absolutely loved it. I devoured it in one day. The author did such an amazing job that I was hooked from the beginning. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this novel to other readers.

Thank you Net Galley, Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and Catherine Cowles

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS AUTHOR. She writes the best romantic yet suspenseful stories! This story is based on the FMC’s sister going missing & her starting a true crime podcast to help others who have experienced similar things as she has! Highly recommend reading this when it comes out & was lucky to receive an ARC & ALC copy! Can’t wait for another book by this author!!!

This book... I loved this book so much! I cannot stop thinking about it! I loved that this married my favorites together, my love for true crime and romance books! It make this book stand out from any other romance book I've read lately. It was so much fun to try to piece together the cold cases as the story went on. If you are a true crime junkie like myself, I highly recommend this book! (Even if you're not, you still should read this book!)

Colt, is also so dreamy! Easily one of my new fave book boyfriends. I really do appreciate that Catherine Cowles wrote an actually tall man. At 6'5 I was SWOONING from the beginning! Yes, please!

When Ridley blows into the small town in her van wanting to film a true crime podcast, police officer Colt is not having it. His sister had been abducted by a deranged man when she was a teenager and her life would never be the same. Although she was lucky enough to escape, she's spent her life inside her house afraid to go outside and live. Colt is not going to let Ridley stir up trouble and bring those awful memories back to his sister by interviewing her. Colt resents Ridley being in his town, and the chaos that follows her. In fact that's exactly what he calls her, Chaos!

Little does Colt know Ridley isn't just doing this to have a viral podcast, she's wanting answers herself. Her own twin sister had gone missing, and in order to put the pieces of her life back together she needs to solve this case, because it turns out there's a string of cold cases that can be linked together. Can these enemies work together to solve these cases? Can they find all the missing pieces?

The perfect combination of suspense and romance is Catherine Cowles latest release of All the Missing Pieces. Our main characters, Ridley Sawyer and Sheriff Colter Brooks (a.k.a. Law Man), don’t exactly start off on the right foot but sparks do begin to fly. Ridley is hoping to look into the case of Emerson Sinclair (Colt’s sister) and find out if that case is connected with twenty-three other similar cases (including her own sister’s). Being the host of her own podcast, Sounds like Serial, Ridley is determined to connect with the residents of Shady Cove in order to find more clues into Emerson’s case. Colt isn’t entirely trusting of Ridley but he slowly begins to realize that he needs to allow a little chaos into his life in order to mend all those unresolved resentments.

“Colt, you helped me find all the missing pieces. Even the ones I didn’t realize I needed.”

I did have an idea of who the “baddy” was and I didn’t want to be right but then the reveal happened and I was still shook at how terrifying a character can change. I just knew the moment things started to finally look up and the love interests were opening up to one another, BAM there would be a twist that shakes everything up. Cowles always has me on the edge of my seat hoping the MC is safe and out of harms way.

I absolutely ADORED Tater, the princess/diva cat that she is, and protective Bowser, the 12-year-old sweetheart dog. I was absolutely smitten with Trey, the sexy bartender who is overprotective of Emerson, and will need their book ASAP. Celia also had me laughing my ass off and I grew to love her quirks, especially towards the end of the book.

5/5⭐️

I HIGHLY suggest listening to the audiobook because the narrators did a phenomenal job!

I don’t say this often about books, but I would loved to see this one adapted as a movie!!! As always, Catherine Cowles absolutely dominates the romantic suspense genre (imo). Our fmc is a true crime podcaster that is trying to solve the disappearance of her twin sister and the trail leads her to the small town of Shady Cove. The mmc is a sheriff and the brother of a girl who survived an abduction in this same small town. Our fmc believes their cases may be linked and won’t stop investigating until she gets justice for her sister and all of the victims.

I had such a good time reading this book and I just fell in love with Ridley. She is strong, compassionate, and empathetic. I love how she makes it a point to never push people to speak to her and how respectful she is to survivors and their families. This book will definitely keep you on your toes! I cannot wait for the 2nd installment of this series :)

I highly recommend the audiobook, it is fantastic!!!

Catherine Cowles did it again! Another romantic suspense that I couldn't stop reading and as always couldn't figure out the culprit.
All the missing pieces is a small town romantic suspense featuring a true crime podcaster named Ridley who has a traumatic past and is on her mission to uncover all the missing pieces of the night her life changed which leads her to Shady Cove.
Sheriff of the town named Colt has a baggage of his own and feels responsible for what happened ten years ago to his sister. But soon his dark mood and grumpiness is replaced by sunshine when Ridley enters his life and helps him heal while also working together to uncover the culprit who upended and destroyed thier sisters's lives.
Definitely a must read!

I swear Catherine Cowles can’t write a bad book! Another 5⭐️ story 👏🏼 I found this even more suspenseful and suspense focused than some of her other books. As always I don’t see any of it coming 😅
I loved the true crime podcaster aspect of it that we got from our fmc Ridley 🙌🏼 I loved the bonding we got from Ridley and Colter based on their backstories and how they both got to grow and heal from it 🤍

The narrators for this also did an amazing job telling this romantic suspense and the emotions for it 🫶🏼

LOVED THIS AUDIOBOOK!!! The narrators were SO good!! I def recommend this format for reading this book.

4.5⭐️ rounded up!! This may just be my favorite CC book to date!!

If you’ve read one of Catherine’s books before, you know she is the queen of romantic suspense. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors with how she perfectly blends together a romance story with an underlying mystery (that I can never figure out!!) Her newest book was a little more heavy on the mystery portion which I LOVED but also really enjoyed the unique podcast plot! As always, it kept me swooning and guessing until the very end.

If you haven’t read one of Catherine’s books before, this would be a great one to start with. Can’t recommend it enough!!

❝ Ridley, a true crime podcaster, goes to Shady Cove to uncover the case of kidnapping that might just hold clues about her twin sister’s disappearance. Her efforts are not welcomed by the townies, especially one grumpy sheriff, Colt Brooks…

💭How I adore this book, doing an immersive reading/listening with this feel cinematic, it felt like a movie playing out in my head. If someone doesn't adapt this into a film, it’ll be a crime of its own. Ridley and Colt's first meeting had me immediately invested in their relationship, their banter had me hooked right away! Colt is such a grumpy bastard, but what I love the most is how doesn’t back down for a second. She’s fierce, fearless, and refuses to take any of his crap. Honestly, their dynamic is such a perfect push-and-pull. Beneath all the tension and sass, though, they share deep scars from eerily similar pasts, and watching them connect through that pain and eventually fall in love was so rewarding.

✅The side characters were also such a treat! Each one had these quirks that made them memorable, even while you’re suspicious of every single one. Who’s hiding what? Who’s lying?

✨Cat Cowles is truly the Queen of Romantic Suspense, and this, I dare say, is her best work to date. I gave up trying to predict the twists ages ago because, let’s face it, I’m terrible at it, but this story still had me gasping out loud at the big reveal. Just when I thought I had it figured out, BAM, wrong again. It’s the perfect blend of gripping mystery and slow-burn romance, with a sprinkle of humor to keep it all balanced. If you love a good murder mystery with a side of swoon-worthy romance, you’re in for a ride.

🎧And the narration? Absolute perfection. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are romance audiobook royalty, and they brought this story to life in a way that felt so immersive. If you’re an audiobook lover like me, their performances are a huge reason to pick this up. They nailed the emotions, the humor, and the chemistry.
I can’t recommend it enough!

Ridley has my freaking heart. she’s one of my new top favorite Catherine Cowles fmc’s, her sassiness and drive and constant positivity in the face of all the tragedy she experienced not only in her personal life but also for her true crime podcast had me sobbing

Colt was the protective mmc of my dreams tbh. the way he lost it when Ridley was hurt even though he wasn’t supposed to care bc he was trying to be protective of his sister hdjsksks i adore him.

there were so many side characters i loved so much and the entire true crime podcaster aspect was such a fun twist. this book felt a little darker and more mysterious than usual for CC and i loved it!

special mention to Tater and her tooth hugs bc I couldn’t stop laughing every time she took a bite of Colt!!
