Did Catherine Cowles just make my heart explode with grief and love and laughter?? Yes she did. This is the second book I've read by this author and I was moved yet again by the skillful way she writes her characters and creates depth to their relationships. I enjoy the mystery and suspense, but for me, the romantic development is what really captures my attention and brings on the emotions that make her novels unputdownable. I listened to the audiobook and Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are just fabulous as the narrators and I highly recommend listening to them bring this fantastic story to life.
This may be my favorite catherine cowles book of all time. I adored the romance, was mind blown by the suspense and could not put the book down, even during all the holiday chaos. Def one to pick up! And if you like audio, the narrators did a fabulous job too!
Leave it to Catherine to combine all the things I love… True Crime Podcasts, hot sheriffs, romantic suspense, enemies to lovers and then she even topped it off with a three legged cat (who I loved!).
After the disappearance of Ridley’s twin sister she travels the country covering cold cases for her true crime podcast, which brings her to Sheriff Colter Brooks town. To say he is not a fan of her being there or her poking her nose into the cold case is putting it mildly. He doesn’t want her stirring up trouble in his town. The thing about Ridley is that she is good at solving cases… which definitely brings trouble.
I absolutely ate up the enemies to lovers vibes between Ridley and Colt and OMG when she is in danger and moves into his house?! Please and thank you.
To say my bar was set high for this book after seeing the tropes is an understatement and luckily I was not disappointed! Yet again, I did not know who the culprit was until the very end, which makes the suspense and twists that much better. I feel like this book had a more intricate suspense plot than other Catherine books but also still delivered on the romance. This is easily one of my top 3 favorite Catherine Cowles books.
The narration was on point and added another layer to an already strong plot.
Catherine just does it again. I got close to figuring out the suspect, but she threw out another twist I wasn't expecting! It's always so fun to read her books because I know I'm going to still be left surprised and it's nice not guessing what's going to happen. Ridley and Colt were so good together. I'm always happy and impressed when enemies (or them not liking each other) become lovers. I did the first half on my kindle and then the last half on audio and both were just amazing!
I very much enjoyed this book, but it does feel eerily similar to other Catherine Cowles novels. The characters have very little originality in comparison to her other characters. With that being said, I enjoyed my time listening to this book and think that readers who enjoy this author will love this book and story.
Catherine has done it again! She has delivered us another beautiful story. Colt and Ridley have my entire heart. I love how fiesty Ridley is and how surly Colt is. The tension and chemistry between these two kept me glued to the book when I read it and swooning when I listened to it. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Please check trigger warnings if you have any.

Ms. Cowles!!!! You just wrote the most PERFECT romantic suspense book that I have ever read. I loved every SECOND of 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨 and already want to read it again. This is officially my new favorite book by Catherine Cowles and I will recommend it to anyone who will listen!
Ridley was such a fantastically different heroine than I have read in a long time. She's independent, outspoken, and confident. She doesn't take crap from anyone and I just adored her spirit. She has been through so much. Her story broke my heart completely and I found myself so invested in her story and her finding the truth. Colt was ohhhh so grumpy on the outside but soft for the people he loves on the inside. I loved how protective he was. I'm not going to lie- he made me so mad early on, but I think a flawed character is so much more fun to root for. When Colt and Ridley finally stopped fighting their attraction, the fireworks were out of this world. Their connection was a slow and steady growth and felt so real. I loved their love so much.
And we can't talk Catherine Cowles without talking about the ending. I could not put this down and played the "who done it" game throughout the entire book. The ending had me so shook.
I love, love, loved this book. Stop what you're doing NOW and read it!

EEEP!! I loved this audiobook so much. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are two narrators that I always enjoy, but this is the first time I have listened to them together. They were SO GOOD. They were the most perfect Ridley and Colt. I recommend this audiobook to anyone who enjoys audiobooks. It was FANTASTIC!
Thank you so much to Catherine Cowles and Dreamscape Media for this gifted audiobook.

Just when I think Catherine’s books can’t get any better she goes and out does herself again! This book had me hooked from the prologue. It is full of mystery and suspense that had me guessing the whole way through…and of course all of my guesses were wrong! I loved both Colt and Ridley. Their characters were likable and relatable. The plot is one of the best I’ve read in a long time. It kept me engaged and needed to know all the answers. I loved that Ridley was a true crime podcaster and Colt was the small town sheriff. It added the perfect amount of tension between them. It is a bit of a slow burn but when things heat up they are pure fire! And of course this author always brings the emotions and makes me cry and I definitely did with this one. This is seriously one of the best books I’ve read and will live rent free in my brain for a long time to come!
I did a full immersion read with this book and listened to the audio while following along with the ebook. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt did an amazing job of bringing the characters and story to life for me. The audio was pure perfection and I highly recommend it!
I've been a fan of Catherine for a while and this book only increased my love for her books! I love the podcast episode, the fact that there were technically multiple mysteries, the tension between Ridley and Colt that transformed into a deep trust in one another..it was all so good! It was also PHENOMENAL on audio so I highly recommend listening to this one!
This felt like watching a criminal minds episode, only add in Catherine's sprinkle of magic to make you fall in love with not only her main characters but all the side characters aswell and you've got yourself a 5 star murder mystery romance.
Catherine alwasy excels at romantic suspense but I loved the true crime podcaster angle.
Ans of course I am always a sucker for a Sherrif.
🎧Dual Narration performance was amazing, massive well done to the narrators , I'm always amazed at how the different characters are always so distinctive.
This book is the perfect balance between heart and Heat, the chemistry of this couple is off the charts.
Would recommend for anyone who loves

This book was INCREDIBLE!! Catherine never fails to impress me! I once again didn’t guess the bad guy. This book had me sobbing! The characters were so well written! I’m so grateful I was able to read an arc of this book. Chaos + Lawman will forever be on my mind! I’m obsessed with them!
I thought this was going to be more of a romance than a kind of emotional mystery. I gave it to 35% but it’s a bit too heavy. It’s probably not for me at this time. The audiobook actor was great!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
This was an amazing start to a new series by Catherine Cowles. Ridley comes in to a small town ran by Colter Brooks to continue her next story of her true crime podcast. She arrives to study the kidnapping of a young woman, Emerson, who ends up being Colter’s sister. The plot twist, her idea that her sister was also kidnapped by the same individual. Her and Colter team up to find the serial killer, with a little FWB love along the way. They grow closer, Emerson decides to go on her podcast, and then Ridley is gone.
There’s just something about how Catherine ties all the loose ends up into a nice and tidy bow that blows me away. For the first time, I had the idea of who it was early on, and proven right, but I was still even more disgusted knowing the full backstory.
gosh, I can’t wait to see where this series goes. As always, I’m so sad it’s over.
All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles - REVIEW
If Catherine has no readers then I'm de@d, okay? I'll be outside in the cold begging for scraps of her writing for as long as I live. She bamboozles me every single time about who the Bad Guy™️ is and I love her for that. The audio was great! Sebastian and Andi did a fantastic job, I love them as a pair and need more books with them as the MMC and FMC.
This audio was so well done, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York were phenomenal 👏🏻
Ridley is a podcaster, who starts trying to solve missing persons cases after her twin sister vanishes one night. She goes to stay in a small town where she believes the first victim in this string of incidents began. She quickly meets the Sheriff, and despite a rocky start, they can’t help but need each other.
I really enjoyed this story! From the beginning, the suspense starts and the story unfolded so well.
Read if you love

-spicy thrillers

-romantic suspense
-strong willed characters

Another fantastic book by Catherine Cowles (not that I am surprised in the slightest). I absolutely loved everything about this book. I loved Colt and his grumpy attitude, Ridley and her determination, Tater the three legged cat and her tooth hugs, Bowser and his laziness and of course the plot. I would 100% be a subscriber to Ridley’s true crime podcast trying to solve all these crimes right along with her.
I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook while also reading the ebook. I felt so immersed in the story.
I am already looking forward to taking a trip back to Shady Cove!
Thank you to Catherine Cowles, Dreamscape Media and Bloom/Sourcebooks for the ARC and ALC
True crime podcast vibes meet small-town grumpy sunshine in All the Missing Pieces, and let me tell you—it’s the perfect mix of suspense and sizzle! Ridley is all heart and hope, while Colter is the definition of broody, protective goodness. Together, they dive headfirst into a mystery that kept me guessing, with just enough edge-of-your-seat moments to balance the heat between them.
What really hooked me was how both Ridley and Colter are dealing with their own traumas. Their emotional baggage feels so real and raw, making their connection that much more rewarding. But the big question is—can they risk opening up their hearts again when the weight of more loss looms over them? Watching them navigate that push and pull of fear versus hope is what truly makes this story shine.
The suspense is solid, the romance burns slow before it ignites, and the chemistry? Off the charts. The only reason this isn’t a full 5 stars for me is that I wanted a little more from the resolution of the mystery. Still, it’s an unforgettable read that had my heart racing for all the reasons. If you love small-town settings, swoony-but-damaged heroes, and heroines who just won’t quit, you’re going to adore this one. Catherine Cowles knows how to deliver!

This book was so addictive! I loved the mystery, and the romance was top tier (as always!). The narrators did a fantastic job bringing Ridley and Colt to life. I absolutely loved this book!
omg i think this is my new favorite catherine cowles book!! it has everything i always love from catherine in it like small town, suspense, swoon worthy mmcs, strong fmcs and more. but this one had an extra added element to the plot that i absolutely loved! ridley is a true crime podcaster and it made learning about the case and the building suspense so much more fun and intense! i seriously could not put this one down!
here’s what i loved:
🚐 catherine’s prologues always make me so weepy
🗝️ shady cove has all the best small town vibes
🚐 bessie!! ridley’s van is perfect
🗝️ ridley is so passionate about what she does and i love that she actually helps people and cares about them and the way she delivers their stories on her podcast
🚐 TATER!!! name a cuter three-legged cat who gives tooth hugs
🗝️ already in love with colt, the dislike/enemies to lover vibes are already feeling strong
🚐 the true crime podcast ridley runs “sounds like serial” is such a fun and unique element to the story, you could tell catherine did her research on that aspect and it felt like i was one of her subscribers listening in
🗝️ the suspense element is strong in this one and i was on the edge of my seat trying to piece everything together and solving the crime
🚐 when colt starts getting protective of ridley😮💨
🗝️ loved seeing how respectful ridley is of emerson’s trauma and so gentle with building that relationship
🚐 all the podcast interviews were so fun, i truly felt like i was in ridley’s head trying to solve everything
🗝️ that one lake scene!!!
🚐 the whole time i thought i had it figured out and let me tell you, i was wrong!! i love when catherine stumps me!!
🗝️ my heart was racing at the end but i was so happy to see everything play out the way it did and that true closure was found
🚐 colt & ridley shared such a deep connection and i loved getting to witness them grow closer and bond over that undeniable chemistry
overall, i think it’s cleared how much i loved this book! catherine stumped me once again but it was SO much fun being along for the ride. i wish this wasn’t a stand-alone because i really love these characters and this storyline
i listened to the audio for this one and obviously it was phenomenal! both narrators did such a fantastic job of adding so much emotion into their voices and making me really feel the fear and suspense that they were experiencing. the podcast aspect was so fun to hear via audio cause i truly did feel like a fan listening to her show. i would 10000% recommend the audio for this one
Another banger from Catherine Cowles. 10/10. Chef’s kiss. Catherine, come ‘ere so I can give you a big forehead smooch. I am obsessed. Beginning of 2024, I hadn’t read anything by Catherine Cowles, 2025 will be the year I read her entire back catalogue because she has made a fan out of me!!!
The tension between Ridley and Colter was literally sizzling out my headphones. The understanding they have for each other and the way they literally fit together perfectly is insane. The side characters were so good and the pets. I love them!! The twist??? I did not see it coming at all because what in the heck?! So so good. I love love love Chaos and Law Man so much!!!
