I have enjoyed all of the books in the Blue Orchid Society series, and this one was no exception. I'm sad it's the ending of the series, but it was a good one to end on. I love all of the characters, and especially love that they're not the "perfect, popular" members of the ton. I relate a lot better to those who are more on the margins. The romance was sweet, and the mystery kept me guessing for quite some time. A perfect read to pass the time!

A wonderful end to the Blue Orchid Society. I loved reading about these incredible women and the men they fell in love with.
Dahlia's story was sweet and full of excitement and mystery. I enjoyed seeing her and Meredith fall in love and learn to trust each other.
I'm sad this series is over, but maybe that just means it's time for a reread. :)
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for my copy.

I have loved reading The Blue Orchid Society series and was so excited to finally read Dahlia's story. She was publicly humiliated which most people of that time would hide away but Dahlia has such a strong will that she takes her inheritance and turns it into something great. While on the private voyage that she hosts, she gets too know, once friend, turned enemy, again; Lord Meredith. I loved watching their relationship grow through Dahlia's strong will and Meredith's thoughtful patience. Great read!

I've read and loved Jennifer Moore's books for years, and The Blue Orchid Society is one of my favorite series. I love it when women support one another, and these women are always there for each other. I'm sad to see the series end, but so happy to finally get Dahlia's story.
Dahlia Lancaster is a woman who was publicly humiliated and scorned by London’s elite. Rather than retreating, she embraced her unexpected inheritance: a steamship company. The Aurora, a cruise steamship, is a marvel of engineering. Dahlia introduces the Aurora on a maiden voyage with her closest friends and carefully selected guests on board. Unfortunately, there are rough seas ahead as mysterious things start happening that could ruin the future of Dahlia's dream.
One of the guests is Lord Meredith (Miles)—a swoon-worthy hero who's steadfast, kind, and quietly protective. He's been in love with Dahlia for a long time, and his unwavering affection for her adds depth to a sweet, slow-burn romance. Together, they uncover who's sabotaging the Aurora and rediscover the friendship they once shared.
I love the Victorian era, when women had more freedoms and transportation was expanding with trains and steamships. I loved the scenes with Dahlia and Miles. He valued her as a person and her intelligence, not her beauty or inheritance, and I liked how straightforward they were with each other. And let's not forget the swoony kisses!
I love a good mystery, so all of the mysterious happenings had me constantly trying to figure out who the culprit could be. There were so many people on board who could've done it and it was fun to watch Dahlia and Miles figure it out.
This book blends historical romance with a touch of suspense, giving us a story that is both heartwarming and exciting. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I think they're more enjoyable if read in order. I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I also bought an ebook for my digital library.

The Blue Orchid Society Series is a personal favorite of mine. Its women are strong and truly independent. Each friend shows great loyalty and intelligence to one another. Sadly, this is the last book, but it ends well.
Book five centers on Dahlia Lancaster. Society shunned her after a failed proposal humiliated her. She spent a year rebuilding her life. Dahlia takes over a steamship company via her inheritance. The launch has her friends and some foes aboard. Lord Miles Meridith, her old friend, still loves her and Dahlia doesn't know about the extent of his feelings. His devotion touched me, even with Dahlia's doubts. The romance builds slowly. But the pace seems real with all the shipboard events.
Here's what makes this book special:
-The Blue Orchid Society rallies to
support Dahlia.
-Mysterious events and dangers
abound on the ship.
-A French Chef serving delicacies.
-Friendships and loyalties face tests.
-A Magic show with "illusions" playing
a big part.
-A slow-burn romance with some lovely moments between Dahlia and Miles.
The mysteries surrounding the mishaps on the cruise are very intriguing and pull you in quickly. The twists and turns will keep readers guessing until the culprits are finally revealed.
You can enjoy this book without reading the others, but please start with the first book. You'll become better acquainted with the Blue Orchid Society ladies and other characters. This series celebrates loyal friends and confident women. You'll also adore the rare men who love and support their ladies and help them fulfill their dreams. This Victorian-era series is a must-read for historical romance fans.

This is a review for NetGalley in return for my honest opinion, of which all my opinions are my own. This review is for Discovering Dahlia, by Jennifer Moore, book 5 of the Blue Orchids Society series, and I rate it 5 stars, and highly recommend it, and the entire series! I loved this series, and have read all 5 books. You can read this without reading the others as a stand-alone, but I do recommend the reading the series so you know who's who! I really enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the unexpected climax, which I didn't guess at all! It was another great book from one of my favorite regency era authors, Jennifer Moore!
In this story, we meet Dahlia Lancaster, a woman who is part of London Society with frequent balls, good friends, and a promising future, but who finds herself shunned from all society after being humiliated at a ball in front of her friends and the whole Ton! She flees society, and concentrates on a new endeavor, taking a steamboat she inherited, and spending a year turning it into a luxury ocean liner, the Aurora, that promises to make ocean travel revolutionary!
For the maiden voyage, Dahlia invites her friends from the Blue Orchids Society, their spouses and significant others, and other close friends to join her on the first trip, which seems to be going smoothly until accidents start happening...but Dahlia is worried that they are not really accidents, and is afraid p this endeavor will fail before it even gets off the ground! She needs to find out, but she needs help, and calls for all hands on deck!
Lord Meredith, one of Dahlia's most trusted confidants, has been in love with Dahlia for years, but circumstances have made him just be her dear friend throughout the years. He was attending the ball the night Dahlia suffered her humiliation, and he tried to contact her after it happened, but since he was still friends with the people who were responsible for hurting her, she felt she couldn't trust him anymore, so she ignored him since in her eyes, he made his choice of whose side he was on. Since he was still part of their friend group, Dahlia extended an invitation to the Aurora's maiden voyage, but she was guarded, and he had to do something to at least win her friendship back! An opportunity to do just that popped up when the accidents started occurring, and so he offered his help to Dahlia, not only to find out who was causing the accidents, but maybe he could restore their broken relationship as well! He had to try!!
With the accidents increasing, and becoming more dangerous, Dahlia has no choice but to accept Lord Meredith's offer her to help find out who is behind the sabatoge, but can she truly trust him again? Can he restore what the closeness they once had, and also save the Aurora from failure before it even gets started? Need to read it and find out, because no spoilers in here!!!

I am always so thrilled to read anything from this author! I feel like this series only got better! I feel like this story put every story together so nicely and gave me all the feels! I fell in LOVE with Miles and followed all the fears that Dahlia felt! I loved that the whole story was done on a boat, such a fabulous storyline!
Thanks to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for this book! All opinions and thoughts are my own!

I have enjoyed this series from the very beginning and this is no exception! I loved the little bit of mystery this story gave us. Plus learning about this era and the advances in all areas (medicine, inventions, women's rights) was wonderful! Dahlia is such a wonderful character and she is so much fun to watch fall in love finally after her heart was destroyed at the very beginning of the series. Meredith is such a fun hero too! I really loved this last book!

This is the last book in the Blue Orchid Society series. This book is set during the Industrial Revolution so the time period is unique with exciting changes socially and technologically.
Dahlia Lancaster experiences an unexpected and devastating fall from society, completely due to actions separate from her own. She is the sole inheritor of her father’s ocean liner company and works hard to turn one of the ships into a luxury form of travel. She invites those closest to her on the maiden voyage but shortly after they set sail, problems start occurring. It becomes evident someone is trying to sabotage her ship and the reputation of her company. At times it seemed obvious to me who was responsible, but is it really?
I enjoyed revisiting the characters from the previous books in the series and the mystery in this book. I especially like that it’s about female friendship and that the women are all intelligent and skilled. 5 stars!

I have loved this series. I love the friendships of the Blue Orchid Society ladies and I love how they helped each other to find their confidence and ability to stand out from the crowd. I liked how this book had a mystery to it as we tried to figure out who was trying to stop Dahlia’s cruise from being a success. I loved how we saw old friends and new help her on this journey. I also loved the romance between her and Lord Meredith and how that worked out. I also loved seeing everything come full circle and problems from the first book get resolved and to seeing the growth of each of these women. Wonderful conclusion to the series.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

I’ve been reading Jennifer Moore’s books since her first release years ago and I’ve loved every one. It was exciting to be back on a ship with this marvelous story. Something Moore is an expert on.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Orchard Society series. Each of these women are ahead of their time and inspiring. I appreciate the focus on their friendship. Each of these women are courageous, smart, and talented.
Dahlia’s story was so well done. I’m always up for some mystery in a book I’m reading and this book brought that, along with some well timed romantic tension. I loved that Dahlia inherited a steam ship company and she was perfect at running it. When things get out of her control, her poise and knowledge and her friends keep her balanced.
Lord Meredith was wonderful. I adore secret pining, good ole forced proximity and dual POV. This was the perfect ending to a favorite series.
I’m excited to see what Moore has in store for her readers next.
I received a paperback from the publisher and a NetGalley approval. All views are my own.

This is such a beautiful story and a perfect way to end The Blue Orchid Society series! I loved being able to see the behind the scenes of the beginning of the society from Dahlia's point of view. We actually get that in each book from each heroine's point of view and I love that. It's so fun to learn more about them individually in how they perceive something.
My heart ached for Dahlia in the beginning of this book but I loved her sweet, kind, loving, and good character. She is truly one of a kind in her ability to look past hurts people have done to her and to be kind towards them. She is a strong woman. I loved that this series is set in the Victorian era and allows for this group of women to shine and to be able to be more free from societal constraints to develop their strengths and talents and gifts. Dahlia is doing just that in further developing her unconventional inheritance, a shipping line, by adding a cruise steamship. It was so neat to watch how a cruise ship would have functioned at this time period and the activities and people who might have attended.
Throw in some untoward crazy things happening and Dahlia is going to have to use all of her wits to figure out what is happening and who is trying to sabotage her cruise. Thankfully she's not alone. She has her dearest friends all on the trip with her and Lord Miles Meredith. *Smirk* You all are going to love Miles! There's a lot of history between this two. Years ago friendly, most recently not so much. But Dahlia is going to have to take some time to figure out if she can trust him or not because he is everywhere she turns.
I loved the Agatha Christie vibes throughout the book. It was so well written. A perfect blend of adventure, mystery, friendship, healing, and love. Well done Jennifer Moore for a beautiful ending to a fabulous book series! This reader is a forever fan!
Content: Clean. Some mild suspense. Sweet and clean romance.
I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!

Discovering Dahlia was all I hoped for as the fantastic finale in The Blue Orchid Society series. A delightful friends to more romance, intriguing mystery, & voyage at sea with all the friends made this last book unforgettable. I love this series & am sad to say goodbye, but this book wraps everything up in a memorable, beautiful bow.
Publicly humiliated after the man she thought was going to marry her proposes to her best friend, Dahlia Lancaster strikes out on a new adventure. She’s inherited a steamship company & has been working hard to make it a success. On the first voyage of The Aurora, she’s invited her closest friends & influential society members. But, someone seems to have it in for Dahlia & wants to ruin all her future hopes for the company. As she & her best friends including the handsome Lord Meredith work to unravel the clues, will she & her company survive?
Miles Ashcroft, Lord Meredith has been in love with Dahlia since their first meeting. After her humiliation though, he was torn between her & his best friend, the man who jilted her. Now he has the chance to make amends & rekindle their relationship, but when harmless pranks turn deadly, Miles must do all he can to protect Dahlia & her company from sinking.
I loved this story! The witty dialogue, the mystery that kept me guessing, & the lovely friendships that make this series so special had me eagerly turning the pages. I enjoyed Miles’ & Dahlia’s friends to more romance. Dahlia was hurt after how she was treated & Miles has a ways to go to make it up to her. I enjoyed their smoldering chemistry, swoony kisses, & how they worked together.
The mystery kept me guessing. There’s a ship filled with suspects including her nemesis. I loved the Agatha Christie-like feel as Dahlia & Miles work to solve each clue.
This series is so amazing! I’ve enjoyed the positive, heartwarming portrayal of female friendships. I’ve loved getting to know each member of The Blue Orchid Society & reading their unique stories. All the stars for this fabulous conclusion to a favorite series! I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own & shared voluntarily.

Leisure travel on a ship...
I really liked this fresh take on a historical. Dahlia expected a proposal a year ago to Lord Rueben. He instead publicly jilts her. Now, a year later, he and his wife are on Dahlia's inaugural leisure cruise. Dahlia spent the year after she'd been jilted inventing the leisure cruise with the ships she inherited. She was once friendly with Miles Ashcroft, Lord Meredith, Rueben's friend, but now, he's not to be trusted.
I really thought Miles was so sweet. He's a gentle giant who was smitten with Dahlia when he first met her. He frets over what to say to Dahlia, dreams about her and a future with her. Only, she's distant but thankfully, they are in close quarters, as he's on the same cruise. She literally falls into his arms. We need more male leads like Miles Ashcroft.
Recommend.

Dahlia is the last of the Blue Orchid Society to have her story told. In previous books in the series, Dahlia seemed frivolous. I wasn’t sure what I would find in her story. I needn’t have worried. The Dahlia that the reader meets has come back from a betrayal. She has made so much of herself. Her father has confidence in her to lead his shipping line.
She has had a cruise ship built and invites her friends and members of high society for a short cruise of the English Channel to promote a new business.
Dahlia’s match is Lord Meredith. This has tropes of he falls first and second chances.
There is a little bit of suspense when someone attempts to sabotage the success of the cruise.
The writing is so well done. When I start into one of Jennifer Moore’s books I remember how much I like her voice. I treasure the afterword in each of the Blue Orchid Society novels. They always include how woman can be such a support to each other. This series is inspiring.
Thanks to Netgalley and Covenant Communications for the opportunity to read this book.

Loved this book! I have enjoyed this whole series and this one was so good! This is a historical romance and I enjoyed getting to see what a "cruise" ship would have been like at this time. Highly recommend you give this one a read

After Dahlia had been publicly jilted, Dahlia leans into the her friends in the Blue Orchid Society for strength. She focuses on running a new ocean liner in her father’s company. A promotional trip with some of London’s finest may put her professional future in danger. Can she and her friends figure out who is trying to sabotage the trip before it’s too late? Who can she trust?
I loved this addition to the Blue Orchid Society books. I loved Dahlia strength and confidence, as well as has her humility to know she can’t do everything on her own. Strong female friendships are something I love to see and it is displayed so beautifully in this series. I also loved the mystery. It’s always fun to guess at who the culprit is. If you like strong female characters, friendships, and unexpected love, this is the book for you.
While I have read the other books in this series, this could be read as a stand alone novel.

Discovering Dehlia, this is the fifth and final book in this series. The books follow five women, each taking charge of their own lives. They call themselves the Blue Orchid Society. This last story focuses on Dehlia Lancaster. The story takes place for the most part on The Aurora, a luxury ocean liner that she owns. They set out on it's maiden voyage with an invitation list of Dahlia‘s closest friends. It was lovely to have a reunion of sorts with all of the ladies from the books and their significant others. There were also some on the voyage that believed they had been wronged and we’re seeking retaliation.
I thought the storyline was interesting. The mystery was intriguing and the romance sweet. It was a great conclusion to a wonderful series. It is a clean romance with no foul language.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

1873
Dahlia Lancaster is the daughter and sole inheritor of the Paragon Line, an ocean liner company and thus is the most desired woman in London. Her father is ill with tuberculosis and she is quite worried about him. Tonight, she is at a ball where the future Marchioness of Molyneaux is to be announced as the woman that the son, Lord Ruben is to marry. Dahlia has been told it will be her. But as she nervously waits for the announcement, she is shocked when another woman’s name is called. Fleeing the scene, she is consoled by her friends, a group that is the Blue Orchid Society.
One Year Later
Dahlia is in charge of the maiden voyage of Paragon Lines’ SS Aurora which is by invitation only. She has invited the cream of society along with some of her friends. She is shocked to find that Ruben and his wife have invited themselves. Another good friend is Miles Ashcroft, Lord Meredith, heir apparent to the Earl of Rushford, who has secretly been in love with Dahlia for many years. As the events of the voyage go as planned for a few days, people are pleased with the service, the accommodations and the delicious food. But it’s when a couple things happen that are downright scary, that they realize someone onboard has sinister motives toward Dahlia and others. Who is causing this and why?
With the help of Dahlia’s good friend, Miles Ashcroft, Dahlia is able to help solve the mystery of what is happening onboard the SS Aurora which sparks a love match between them as well. This is a sweet novel with some angst yet much hope. The descriptions of the food and places visited are beautifully expressed. Enjoy.

Genre: Historical Romance, Victorian Romance, Sweet Romance, Historical Mystery
Spice Level: Kissing
Readability: Each works as a standalone, but I think you'll enjoy reading them in order.
DISCOVERING DAHLIA ends the Blue Orchid Society series They've all been delightful. One of my favorite things is how each of the women have distinct personalities and interests and support each other.
The romance this is sweet and made me smile the entire time. I'm a sucker for second chances—this one feels deserved because he's truly such a golden retriever of a man and didn't know the harm that had come to Dahlia. I also loved how she remade herself into a better person and pushed herself into a career. The mystery was also a fun twist in this one, but be ready because this isn't easy to solve for the faint of heart. (As I put a gold star on my forehead since I did solve it.) The red herrings were excellent.
I think everyone who loves a good romance (especially historical) will want to jump to read this book.
Happy reading!
