As always, Rosie Clarke has delivered yet another brilliant book. Going back to a series from Rosie is like visiting family and catching up with them! This was, as always, full of drama, romance, and excitement. The ending has left me waiting with anticipation for the next one!
A nice update to the series, though it would probably help if I’d read the other four books and had more interest,in the characters. Really doesn’t work well as a standalone.
What a welcome return to BlackBerry Farm. The younger generation are stepping up when their country/family need them. John is still grieving the loss of his darling Faith, while he has his young son Jonny to think of it’s all taken out his hands when he gets recalled to his unit. Tom continues with dangerous missions which he tells wife Lizzie is training new recruits, will they come back to the farm and their loved ones. Meanwhile the running of the farm is mostly left to Artie, which he resents his brothers for, making him sulky. Pam has more than her fair share of problems in this book, losing loved ones! Plenty of “oh no!” moments. Recommend
I really enjoyed this book, for the interesting storyline. The great descriptions, especially Artie, I could just imagine his face, and felt that as the book progressed he matured. Favourite character was Tom, least favourite was Mr Armstrong . Already looking forward to the next one.
