Caroline Khoury’s The Love Intervention is a fresh and heartwarming romance that explores friendship, love, and the surprising ways life can change when you least expect it. With an engaging cast of characters and a unique twist on traditional matchmaking, this story is both entertaining and emotionally resonant.
The protagonist’s journey is both relatable and inspiring, as she navigates the ups and downs of her personal life with the help (and occasional interference) of her closest friends. Khoury writes with warmth and humor, effortlessly drawing readers into the characters’ lives. The dynamics between the friends add a layer of authenticity, making the story feel vibrant and real.
The romance is sweet and slow-burning, with plenty of heartfelt moments and just the right amount of tension. Khoury’s ability to weave deeper themes of self-discovery and the value of true connections into the narrative adds depth to the overall story.
While some parts of the plot are predictable, the charm and sincerity of the writing more than make up for it. The Love Intervention is a feel-good novel perfect for fans of romantic comedies and stories about finding love and friendship in unexpected places.

What a charming and original story of second chance romance spanning across the world. This is my first time reading a novel from Caroline Khoury, and will definitely not be the last time.
Read if you enjoy:
*** Second chance romance
*** 3 MMC to choose from!
*** a workaholic FMC that has had no time for love
*** Strong female friendships
*** “Love is a complication” trope
I enjoyed the concept of this novel. Our FMC Laila has concentrated on her work and career for the last ten years. Love and relationships have always been on the backburner. Enter her two best friends who have the idea to contact 3 former men from Laila’s past that they believe could ignite her quest for love once again. The journey that unfolds is entertaining, and encourages all of us to give the “what if’s” a chance!
Thank you to Netgalley and Canelo for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.
