I went on a Cronenberg binge starring a few years ago and this is exactly the kind of book I needed to appreciate his work more than I already did. Author Violet Lucca does an excellent job exploring psychology, culture, sexual expression, writing, violence and horror and how each factors into Cronenberg's works throughout his career.

This was a wonderful deep dive into the filmography of David Cronenberg. It's perfect for fans of his films, breaking down moments or themes from a group of films each chapter. The audiobook was lovely, the narrator (Patricia Santomasso) was phenomenal. Highly recommend checking it out before Cronenberg's new movie.

I completly misunderstood what this was going to be.
I expected an intersting approach to Cronenberg's creations, and admittedly it was a highly learned and original approach, but not one that interested me or captured my interest.
I take full responsibility and I believe this would interest folks who are deeply interested in psychoanalysis.
