This is a missing child book like no other I have ever read.. I thought at first I wasn't going to enjoy it because I don't usually like books written in the first person but the sense of urgency that was conveyed kept me rapt from the first chapter. The story is so fast paced and contains so much nail biting tension I positively surged through it. Nothing prepared me, however, for the unbelievably clever ending.,what an ingenious idea. This author was completely new to me but I'll be watching out for her in the future.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

This is a bit of a slow burn thriller that became a bit confusing for me. There was a lot going on and quite a few characters to keep up with. I like the idea of the book and some of it was thrilling and had the twists and turns you want from a book like this. But for some reason I just didn't engage with this one.
Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

2* Couldn't engage with either character after the 1st or 2nd chapters.
This isn't your usual 'my child is missing' thriller. I was hoping for the parents to be found out. I couldn't engage with either of them and found their ability to lie, to fake emotions and to conceal stuff from each other, made them unpleasant.
There's also too much hinted at too lightly for me to clock whether they were bad, or shades of grey. The policing wasn't up to much, unfortunately. Not a winner for me, I'm afraid.
ARC courtesy of NetGalley and Joffe Books for my reading pleasure.

Review for 'If She's Found' by Alesha Dykema
This may be the first book I have read by this incredible author but it most certainly will not be my last!!
Wow!!!! Just flipping wow!!!! What an absolutely epic page turner!!! Well done Alesha!!! How on Earth have I never read any of your books before? Absolutely smashed it!!!!!!!
This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions creating the perfect atmosphere for the storyline. The book cover and synopsis works perfectly with the book plot and I am most definitely looking forward to reading the next book, and the previous one in this series.
I have absolutely no idea how this is the first time I have read one of this incredible author's books but I am so glad I have rectified that problem and I cannot wait to get hooked into more books by Alesha. I cannot wait to go back to read her previous two books which are called 'Everything She Has' and 'Without You' while I am waiting for her next book to be released! Thankfully that will not be long either as it is available to preorder now ready for publication date of March 25th!! That book is called 'Everything I Wanted' and I will definitely be reading that too! I best get a move on with so many books to read that I have sadly missed but considering I can guarantee they are all amazing even if they are just half as good as this book they are guaranteed to be epic which means I will fly through them like I did with this book!! In this absolutely gripping book we meet Andi and Charlie whose young daughter Bella is missing. The police are determined to find her and discover who took her but this book has one of many unique twists. One of those is that Andi and Charlie know exactly where Bella is and what really happened!! Will the police discover the truth? Did Charlie and/or Andi kill Bella? Well, that's all I am going to say about this gripping storyline so if you want to find out more you will just have to grab your copy today. I promise that you will not regret it!! With an absolutely gripping and captivating storyline ram packed with mystery, drama, action, twists, death, secrets, family, lies, deceit and so, so, SO MUCH MORE !! What on Earth are you waiting for??? It truly is an absolutely addictive, nail biting, page turning, heart racing and compelling storyline that will keep you hooked throughout!! From the moment you read the first chapter Alesha keeps you needing more constantly until you get to the end and even then I was left wanting more of her incredible story. It has so many layers of mysteries and crimes for the reader to be kept guessing throughout. This fantastic thriller is absolutely packed with twists, turns, shocks, crime and red herrings throughout. I had no idea who did what until the end. This is an achievement in itself as it is definitely getting harder to surprise me with the amount of crime and psychological novels I've read so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO ALESHA!! . There was so many explosive bombshells in this book that I actually lost count on how many times I was shocked which I didn't think would be possible!!! The plot was unique and realistic and Alesha's brilliant descriptions brings absolutely everything to life in front of your eyes. It started straight in the action and kept you going on a roller-coaster ride of suspense throughout. There were several occasions when my heart was in my throat and I the hair was raising on my arms but I won't mention those as not to spoil it for future readers. It is so hard to not say too much without giving anything away to future readers but I'm sure once people have read it they will know exactly what I mean. Well done Alesha you did absolutely amazing and everything was tied up perfectly. The twists and turns in this book left me going from one chapter to another!!! I completely devoured it in one sitting as I just could not put it down. Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster ride!!! I just could not put this book down and I cannot wait to read more books by this extremely talented author!!
Before you start this make sure you clear your schedule because once you pick it up you are not going to want to put it down!!!!
The characters were very realistic, multi layered and well rounded and again their personalities reflected the storyline and how they would act, etc perfectly. The descriptions gave a really good in depth view of how the characters were feeling and what they were thinking. The characters were complex and each seemed to be hiding their own secrets which leaves you questioning who is telling the truth and who can be trusted. they had their own unique personalities with individual flaws, quirks, secrets, strengths and weaknesses!! I don't want to say too much about the characters though and I will leave you to read this amazing book and work them out yourself. I could literally go on and on about this absolutely explosive page turner but I am going to wrap it up here so I do not bore you too much! Each of the characters were well developed, unique and thanks to Alesha's fantastic evocative writing skills they all came to life before my eyes. That is all I will say as I don't want to run the risk of dropping any hints or spoilers. However, whether you love or hate these characters, they all have their own strong unique personalities and they all bring the story to life playing their roles perfectly.
Congratulations Alesha on a fantastic and gripping success and here's to your next explosive success!!! This is exactly why I would like to welcome you to my favourite authors club!!!
Overall an absolute must read, pulse racing, addictive page turning psychological thriller that will keep you on edge and addicted.

This is a really strong psychological thriller which goes a bit further than most such books by seeming to implicate the parents fairly early on. It touches on dark topics and uses great character development to engage the reader, even as you suspect many of them as being unreliable narrators. There is enough information on the investigation to keep those who like police procedurals interested, too - a very interesting book.

Set yourself a big chunk of time as you will want to read this is one sitting! From the first pages we know that 8 year old Bella is missing and her parents Charlie and Andi are somehow involved! This pulled me in instantly, I think it was the shock factor like ‘Whoa! What are you hiding? Why are you not telling the police? Who are you people?” Wild things were going through my mind so with this suspense I was eager to fly through this book. My only downfall would be the way the police were dealing with the investigation seemed somewhat slack and unrealistic.
3.5 🌟 rounded up.
Many thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for my eARC in exchange for my honest review

Alesha Dykema does a fantastic job in writing this psychological thriller novel, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the genre. I was invested in what was happening and enjoyed the way the characters were everything that I was hoping for. It was tense and worked well in this type of book. I hope to read more from Alesha Dykema as this was really well done.

Honestly I’m kind of confused about all these characters and who killed who and why. I couldn’t really get into it or care that much about what happened at the end.

A very strange read which din't really gel with me. I can't say too much as it would involve spoilers but although I finished it I din't really get it as a parent
2.5 stars

First, a thank you for allowing me this ARC copy. All opinions are my own.
The story grips from the first page and doesn't stop until the very last page. This is probably one of my new favorite books due to the fast pace and the twists perfectly executed. Bella is missing. Gone, without a trace. Did her parents kill her? Hide her? Is it someone else the parents know? It isn't until the end that the final twist is executed. While I thought I had it figured out, I wasn't entirely correct. Which is what makes me give this book 5 stars.
I highly recommend this book!

this book was so good! It was a literal emotional rollercoaster! it was a very twisty and turny book, full of a lot of unexpected things happening, and also it was tense!! and suspenseful!! I loved it
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

Very suspenseful and quite intriguingly mysterious in its story progression.
Andi and Charlie are living every parent's worst nightmare when their eight year old daughter Bella disappears from her bedroom one night.
As no clues to her disappearance materialize, and no ransom demands come in, the police turn their suspicions to the parents. Search warrants for house and cars are acted upon.
As the search continues, it becomes very evident that Andi and Charlie know more than they are sharing with the police.
Did they do it?
Could they actually have had a hand in their own daughter's disappearance?
As the police look more closely at their lives, Andi's past doesn't appear to be shaping up as the very uninteresting and simple life she has portrayed it to be.
A great last read for 2024 with a fabulous storyline and characters that are so well defined they seem
to jump right off the pages.
Next Dykema novel, please.
Ready and waiting.

Thank you to NetGalley, author Alesha Dykema and Joffe books for the ARC and opportunity to review this book.
It was an unbelievable thrill ride with Andi and Charlie to find out what happened to their daughter. It was a refreshing twist from many of the usual psychological thrillers I have read recently.
I loved the way the author developed Andi’s character. She has guts and won’t let anything stand in her way. I found Charlie’s character to be a bit of a baby but again a refreshing change from the woman always being the broken down soul.
If you are looking for a fast paced page turner I highly recommend!
4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Andi and her husband are the devastated parents of Bella who is missing. Detective Briar is investigating and has suspicions of the parents and she is right that they definitely know more than their saying but they also know that Bella isn't coming back and they also know where she is. So what really happened to Bella? That is the question I was dying to know the answer to throughout the story! The author has written a shocking unpredictable plot that had me gasping for air. It's unsolved mystery kept me eager to know more. It's different to other psychological thrillers and held my interest all the way. I enjoyed the writing style!

Andi and Charlie are experiencing something no parent should have to experience… the loss of a child. Their eight-year-old daughter, Bella, is missing and Andi believes the detectives are assuming the worst… that Andi and Charlie killed their daughter. It is clear as the story unfolds that Andi and Charlie do know more than they say which leaves us, as readers, trying desperately to figure out what happened.
I love thriller/suspense books, but was growing a bit frustrated about their huge secret. I could not figure out why they were so closed-mouth about Bella. It finally becomes clear and makes so much sense but I would have never guessed the scope of the darkness Andi holds inside her. It amazes me how Charlie stays by her side.
I’m happy to recommend this book and I thank Joffe Books and Alesha Dykema for the ARC.

This is a debut novel for this author that tells the story of Andi Millar and the disappearance of her daughter Bella, the story could take so many turns at various parts throughout it was hard to predict were it was heading.
There's a lot of depth in the character development of Andi that shows the emotional turmoil that she experiences and her complex nature.
A twisted, complex read that boggles the mind in terms of morality.

Meet Andi. Devoted wife. Adoring mom. Killer? The moment her eyes meet mine, I can tell the detective thinks I’ve killed my daughter! Wow this book had some crazy twists! It also had great suspense, mystery, murder, intriguing, and a crazy who done it! The storyline was interesting! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

*I received an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.*
Alesha Dykema's If She's Found is a gripping psychological thriller that will absolutely hit close to home, especially with parents. Andi and Charlie's 8 year old daughter Bella is missing. The police are called in to investigate and the lead detective seems to think that they know more than they are saying. When an unknown person starts to stir things up, Andi knows she needs to make sure her past stays in the past. This book goes back and forth between when Bella went missing to the aftermath. The tension that leads up to finding out what really happened is thick. Most of the book we do not know exactly what happens or why, just that something tragic occurred. As Andi and Charlie try to stay one step ahead of the police we are given tidbits of information about what it is that these parents know. Dykema's writing style is very fluid and emotional, delving deep into the emotional turmoil of every parents worst nightmare. This was my first read by this author but I am definitely going to read more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Alesha Dykema, and Joffe Books for this ARC. Expected publishing date is December 27th 2024

This original story had me intrigued from the start. I won’t give any spoilers but just say it’s a plot turned on its head and I had no idea where it was going until the reveal was made.
Yes I could be picky and ask questions as to how some of the stalking could have been as easy as it seemed but that didn’t spoil the reading just something I thought about after.
The book made me want the villains to win or at least the people/person I thought were the villains but don’t ask me why!
Overall it’s worthy of a five star rating… and I don’t give many of those generally.

This was the first book I have read from this author and it was a slow burner with some unlikeable characters. Premise sounded good but just something missing for me. Had some interesting twists which kept me reading.Would definitely give her next one a try. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it
