*I received an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.*
Alesha Dykema's If She's Found is a gripping psychological thriller that will absolutely hit close to home, especially with parents. Andi and Charlie's 8 year old daughter Bella is missing. The police are called in to investigate and the lead detective seems to think that they know more than they are saying. When an unknown person starts to stir things up, Andi knows she needs to make sure her past stays in the past. This book goes back and forth between when Bella went missing to the aftermath. The tension that leads up to finding out what really happened is thick. Most of the book we do not know exactly what happens or why, just that something tragic occurred. As Andi and Charlie try to stay one step ahead of the police we are given tidbits of information about what it is that these parents know. Dykema's writing style is very fluid and emotional, delving deep into the emotional turmoil of every parents worst nightmare. This was my first read by this author but I am definitely going to read more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Alesha Dykema, and Joffe Books for this ARC. Expected publishing date is December 27th 2024

This original story had me intrigued from the start. I won’t give any spoilers but just say it’s a plot turned on its head and I had no idea where it was going until the reveal was made.
Yes I could be picky and ask questions as to how some of the stalking could have been as easy as it seemed but that didn’t spoil the reading just something I thought about after.
The book made me want the villains to win or at least the people/person I thought were the villains but don’t ask me why!
Overall it’s worthy of a five star rating… and I don’t give many of those generally.

This was the first book I have read from this author and it was a slow burner with some unlikeable characters. Premise sounded good but just something missing for me. Had some interesting twists which kept me reading.Would definitely give her next one a try. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it
