Life is never quiet for long on the island of En-Somi. As the youngsters study for their exams & entertain themselves the adults get on with the myriad tasks that make their island life run smoothly. Young Elin is musical, happy writing songs & being tutored by the island's bard. She looks as if she may be the first female to hold this post when Olaf can no longer continue. But Elin is just thirteen & like any teen wants to spread her wings. She becomes involved with one of the rich island boys, one with a very bad reputation & when she disappears the residents of the village of Hus will not give up on finding her- no matter how long it takes!

I just love this series of books! Maggie Allder has created a wonderful setting and community & I do hope there will be more stories from the Lonely Island. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.
