I liked the vibes and tips in this book as well as its rationale.
It read like an ideal-length book that summarises some best practices about living a good life.
It does talk about parenting, however, I mostly found it to be a ‘guide to lead a good life’ book.
Better Kids Become Better Adults is a great read for parents looking to nurture their children's emotional intelligence. The book provides practical stories and strategies to help kids recognize, accept, and manage their emotions. I loved how it offered step-by-step guidance on fostering emotional awareness in children, making it an invaluable resource for creating a positive growth environment.

I was not sure how to rate this book because while it contains some helpful information and tools for parents I do not think the description of the book was entirely accurate and the layout of the book could be even better.
I really appreciate that the author walks parents through different sections and stresses the importance of teaching childrens about recognising and managing their emotions. The book outlines numerous strategies for parents to use in helping their children with this. I think especially first time parents will find this book very useful.
That said, the introduction, like the description of the book mentions 'stories' that are written in the book. I did not notice anything I would consider a story that would help children understand emotions. There are little vignettes scattered throughout the book, but the author does not introduce the vignettes, so they seemingly appear at random and it is not explained how a parent should use them with their children.
Despite this I would recommend this book to any parents who would like to know more strategies to help their children with their emotional development.
While I received this book for free through NetGalley my review is unbiased and the views in it are entirely my own.
