This is a giant, lavishly illustrated ice cream cookbook for ice cream shop designer ice cream of all types from bubble gum to bourbon vanilla to oddball gourmet options like avocado toast and chocolate with roasted eggplant. The basic recipe is eggless and involves whole milk, heavy cream, milk powder, glucose syrup, powdered sugar and specialty vanilla products (with instructions on how to make them). There are oodles of recipes and photos, and there are a few vegan options. These aren’t quick recipes but they are undoubtedly great ones.

I read a digital copy of this book for review

To be fair, I'm a public librarian, and I don't think this is one for the average library patron. I skimmed through this book and, while our library circulates an ice cream maker, everything about this book is about high quality and the best of the best (maybe my first hint should've been the "Finest" in the title?), which honestly, translates to a bit pretentious. I'm not sure this book would be great for a big population, but I'm sure that minor one will find it okay. My rating is based on how helpful it would be to the average patron, and whether they'd actually find it useful after checking out and reading through a few recipes.
