Wow I finished this in one sitting. I was hesitant but ended up on the edge of my seat the entire time. I think one of the highlights for me is that each chapter was 3-5 minutes long which kept it fast paced!

Oh Lisa Jewell, you sly fox! You always know how to weave such an intricate web of deception, red herrings and mystery that keeps me furiously flipping the pages to see what happens next. Don’t Let Him In was SO STRESSFUL that I had to keep reminding myself to unclench my jaw and drop my shoulders. 100% worth it though. The non linear timeline was done so well here and gave such a classic Lisa Jewell ominous vibe to the book. It wasn’t necessarily a jaw dropper, but it was certainly full of fun twists. I will say this, if you’re in the dating pool, it will certainly make you even more cautious of men, which is maybe not a bad thing. The ending was fantastic too. Abrupt, but honestly that just added to the insane ride that I just went on. Definitely recommend for fans of Lisa Jewell and anyone looking for a suspenseful story!

CW: death, violence, stalking

Lisa Jewell does not disappoint in her newest book! You will not want to put this one down once you start it. This is a page-turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommend!

Lisa Jewell does it again! Don’t Let Him In was a suspenseful, mysterious, and can’t-put-down book.

Told from three different views, the story twists and turns as you connect all the pieces. Ash is suspicious of the man her mother had started dating, Martha is trying to figure out what her ADHD husband is up to, and a third narrator puts all the pieces together.

The story will pull you in, keep you wanting more, and will make you weary of new people you meet.

Thank you to Atria Books + NetGalley for the opportunity to read 𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙃𝙞𝙢 𝙄𝙣 by 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙅𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 before its release on 𝟲/𝟮𝟰/𝟮𝟱.

➝ absolute page turner

Like with other Lisa Jewell books, this one didn’t have a “twist,” but was full of shocking moments. There were plenty of times that I dramatically covered my mouth because of the wild things this man did. So don’t let my “no twist” rating fool you. I think there’s a lot to be said for a book that doesn’t have a huge twist but still has shock value and puts the reader on the edge of their seat the entire time.

If Lisa Jewell has no fans, it’s because I’m dead lol.. Just like with her other books, I ate this one up! I could’ve easily read it in one sitting if my family would’ve left me alone. Jewell is the QUEEN of writing psychopaths. I would’ve given this 5-stars, but I didn’t love the ending, and it did drag on during a couple of parts. I still ate it up and enjoyed the ride!

A new man enters Ash’s mother’s life soon after Ash’s dad dies tragically. Skeptical of his intentions, Ash begins a slow unraveling to prove things are not how they seem.

While in parts predictable, the book kept me turning pages while trying to piece together the different part of the story.

I initially found the changes in font between Nick’s chapters and the others a bit jarring, but ultimately got used to it and found it helpful. In retrospect, it almost felt like it was more comforting to read the larger text and then disconcerting when it became small and perhaps that was on purpose.

Thank you NetGalley, and Lisa Jewel for the ARC. All opinions here are my own.

Lisa Jewel’s new book is fantastic! The main character is so messed up & all his love conquests are flawed in some way that allows him to prey on them. I honestly don’t know how Jewell kept all the balls in the air with the main character, but kudos for this twisted story you won’t be able to put down. Thanks for the ARC!

Lisa Jewell is a master at writing many different points of view in many different timelines and tying it all up in a suspenseful package. Don't Let Him In has you rooting for Ash and her family as they navigate the loss of their dear matriarch and also despising the existence of the new man who is too good to be true who happens to turn up saying he respected Paddy and wanted to befriend the family in his honor. The more the story unfolds the more you want to throttle him and shake everyone else to wake up!! Lisa Jewell is always an automatic read for me.

What a tangled web we weave …

@lisajewelluk - when I think you can’t possibly write a better book than your last, you turn out what has to be one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read.

Nick Radcliffe meets Nina Swann, a widow who tragically and unexpectedly lost her husband. Nick is exactly what Nina needs to help her heal and move on. Nina’s daughter, Ash, is suspicious of Nick from the start. He’s too perfect, too good to be true. And Ash has lots of time on her hands to dig around.

Martha is a successful business owner running her flower shop and married to the love of her life, Alistair. But, as Alistair’s job takes him away from home more and more, Martha starts to feel that something isn’t right.

They don’t realize it yet, but they’re all headed down the same twisted, mind-blowing path.

I don’t want to give too much of “Don’t Let Him In” away because what will make your heart literally race while reading is trying to put the pieces together and figure out what happens next. There are twists and turns throughout the book and they don’t stop until the last sentence. The story does jump timelines, but it fits together perfectly. The chapters are short and everything moves so quickly.

This book will keep you reading all night. You will not stop thinking about it. It is one of the best books you will read this year 🏆

Thanks so much for allowing me to read early!

4.5 ⭐️ Lisa Jewell is the queen of thriller mysteries and that’s a hill I will die on 😆 She’s one of the authors that got me interested in the genre, and I continue to love everything I read by her. “Don’t Let Him In” was a unique, kaleidoscopic thriller filled with lies, deceit, betrayal, grief, heartbreak and revenge. It felt different than her other books, but I loved it just as much. A lot of characters are introduced early on which challenges you to pay attention to every detail. It’s confusing for a minute until things begin to unravel with hint after hint in true Lisa Jewell style. There are several POVs, which I always enjoy when done well, and the way in which each character interconnects is brilliant. If you love a revenge thriller, mixed with some female empowerment, you will love this.

Thank you to NetGalley, Simon & Schuster, and Lisa Jewell for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Don’t Let Him in
Nick Radcliffe was a suave, handsome middle aged man with 3 separate families and 3 different identities. After the accidental death of Paddy Swann, a successful restaurant owner, Nick introduced himself to Paddy’s widow, Nina, as someone who had know Paddy well. Before long, Nick was courting Nina and trying to get her to invest in a resort area.
Ash, Nina’s adult daughter, became suspicious and started investigating Nick. What she found was shocking.
I enjoyed the book as the suspense built up gradually and the ending was a total surprise.
I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

"Don't let him in" is a suspenseful novel that follows the lives of multiple completely different women who all share one thing in common. The same man. This was a great read through the lives of all the women and the man following them. I highly recommend this quick read. It is a bit confusing with the multiple POV but the suspense will keep you coming back for more.

Thank you NetGalley, and Lisa Jewel for the ARC. All opinions here are my own.

This was my first Lisa Jewell book. I am a fan of Freida and have been told to give Lisa Jewell a chance. Overall, I’m happy I did, even if I had to look up some words to translate from British to American English (I love the term noughties-it makes so much sense)!

The story is very twisty but not in the way I expected. It was less of a whodunnit and more of a ‘how are they gonna get him’. I hated this man with a passion (I’m not even really sure what to call him) and cannot believe the lies these women believed but I did appreciate the ending for all women!

Thank you NetGalley, Atria books and Lisa Jewel for the ARC. All opinions here are my own.

PHEW! I was hooked on this one quick. Full disclosure there are a lot of characters. At one point I found myself with a pen and paper trying to make sense of who’s who. Once you wrap your brain around that, this one is hard to put down. Fun, fast, and keeps you turning the pages. Look for this one when it releases in June of 2025.

Wow! This is a wild ride. It would have been 5 stars but it didn't end the way I had hoped. It was definitely a fast-paced-page-turner with short chapters! Definitely recommend!!

First off, a huge thanks to Atria Books and Netgalley for an advanced e-copy of one of my most anticipated for 2025!
Ok. To the review. Holy guacamole. Lisa Jewell will always be an auto read author for me, but she really has you flipping the pages on this one. Set with alternating timelines, as well as multiple points of view Don't Let Him In, will have you questioning if you truly know the people in your life. This was a fast-paced novel about 3 women finding the truth of the man in their life. This was compulsive. Especially since there are little hints that drop almost each chapter that will have you continually reading. I really couldn't stop and read the majority in one sitting. Definitely recommend for the fans of psychological thrillers. You will not be disappointed. Add it to the TBR for the year STAT!

I must admit that this book initially started with a bit of a challenge. With multiple POV and simultaneous storylines, I found myself struggling to follow the story. Initially, I believed I was comprehending the story, but I kept questioning my understanding throughout the book. I must also mention that the story begins extremely slowly, and I found myself checking how many minutes or chapters I had left to finish it. However, I was also intrigued by what was unfolding. Despite the confusion, I found this story genuinely captivating and intriguing.

Thank you, Netgalley and Atria Books, for providing me with an ARC.

I was immersed in this book. The plot. The characters. It all flowed so well. It kept me on toes. Some of the plot was predictable but I don’t mind that in thrillers. All in all I enjoyed it very much.

I dated a man in college. He was tall, charming, smart, athletic, goal-oriented and he won over my parents almost immediately. He seemed like the perfect man. However, as I would find out over the next 2 years, it was all a lie. The entire time we were dating I knew him as (let’s call him) Landon, but that turned out to be his middle name. His real name was (lets say) Alex which is what his family would call him. And when I would meet his friends, he’d go by yet another name, Aaron. He explained all this away talking about nicknames and different names at different ages. After dating for a while, I received messages from other women alleging that they were also involved with him. But he would talk his way out of it, the “crazy ex” excuse. He would disappear some weekends, claiming he was visiting his parents. He didn’t allow me to even get close to his phone, let alone ever see what he was doing when on it. I’ll admit there were increasingly more and more red flags that I let slide because I was young and he was otherwise, seemingly, perfect. He could cook, he bought me gifts, he was thoughtful and loving.

Little did I know.

After a particularly distressing event and subsequent breakup, I started to find out more of the truth. His mother reached out to me to let me know that he was a diagnosed sociopath and that he had probably been lying to me about everything. As it turns out, I was not his only girlfriend at the time, he had me at college, and had another girlfriend back home. After I broke up with him and I found out more and more, the stalking began. He would blow up my phone. I’d block him, and he’d do it again from another number. He made countless Snapchat accounts attempting to communicate with me. Swearing that he loved me and only me. That he’d never hurt me again. He emailed email addresses I forgot even existed. He would show up to my house late at night and park out front and just call me nonstop. I moved soon after that. He even went to my workplace, and I quit soon after that. For months this man did everything he could to convince me to take him back. Thankfully, after a very long and anxious period, the calls subsided. I soon found my husband and the rest is history.

But then I read this book.

And it is almost as if Lisa Jewell crawled into my memories and extracted this particularly horrific one and crafted a thriller out of it. This book was pure adrenaline and anxiety for me. It’s a fantastic thriller, but also a deeply unsettling one—especially if you’ve ever known a man like this. It makes me wonder if Lisa Jewell had some experience herself because they way she was able to write him, write about the manipulation, the excuses, how you let things go because you don’t want to destroy what you’ve built together. You don’t want to forget about all the good things just because there’s some bad, so you excuse it and excuse it until one day you realize there is no good left. It’s hard to understand the roller coaster of emotions unless you’ve been through it, but Jewell does. Looking back now, I feel incredibly stupid that I fell for any of it but when you’re being manipulated, you’re trapped in this whirlwind and you can’t see the forest for the trees. And Lisa Jewell captured those feelings perfectly.

Not only does she get the emotions right, but also the characters. She perfectly writes that manipulative, chameleon personality that can slip into your life, love bomb the fuck out of you, and then slowly convince you that you’re the crazy one. The accuracy of the barely contained rage, the simmering-beneath-the-surface violence.

The pacing is claustrophobic- I felt like everything was slowly caving in on me as a reader and I was desperate to get to the end.

If you love psychological books with a slow-burning sense of dread, this one is for you. But if you’ve ever experienced your own Landon, just know, it’s going to hit hard.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of “Don’t Let Him In” by Lisa Jewell.
