At first this book introduced a lot of characters and names that made it a bit confusing but I’m so glad I kept reading. This book had so many twists that I couldn’t keep up!
Definitely give a read if you like psychological thrillers!

I was so excited to see Lisa Jewell’s I upcoming release available on NetGalley! I find her books to be hit or miss, but loved all the attention it was getting early on in my book circles.
Don’t Let Him In is told in alternating POVs, Timelines, and perspectives (first to third person). This made it very difficult for me to follow along, which was only made worse by the MC’s name changing throughout. This is intentional and part of the plot, but you definitely need your full attention to stay in the loop.
I like the way Jewell showed the development of the MC through the changes in timelines, it really does give a unique perception of something that can only be understood with the passing of time. The same could be true for the women associated with the MC in a now vs then perspective.
Overall, a likable story if you can focus and get through the constant changing of person, place, and time. Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for this ARC!

Nina and Ash are left to pick up the pieces when Paddy, the patriarch of the family, dies suddenly after being pushed in front of a train. Ash is living at home with her mother Nina when Nina starts bringing around a mysterious friend of Paddy’s, Nick. Lisa Jewell masterfully keeps the suspense throughout the entirety of this domestic drama. The ending did fall a little bit flat for me but it was a very enthralling read.

Don't Let Him In is a slow burn of a mystery. Initially, I thought it was too slow, too repetitive, but I'm so glad that I stuck with it and discovered what is sure to be one of my top reads of the year. Highly recommend!

I just finished *Don't Let Him In* by Lisa Jewell, and as expected, it was another solid and engaging thriller from her! I’ve always enjoyed her writing, and this one did not disappoint.
From the beginning, I was completely invested in the story and the characters. Jewell has a way of creating suspense that pulls you in, and I found myself unable to put the book down—I finished it in just two days!
While I didn’t encounter any major plot twists that I hadn’t already figured out, that didn’t take away from the enjoyment. The pacing was great, the tension was palpable, and the story kept me hooked from start to finish.
Overall, I would definitely recommend *Don't Let Him In* to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller. It’s a gripping read that delivers exactly what you hope for from Lisa Jewell—compelling, suspenseful, and thoroughly entertaining.

Don’t Let Him In follows three women whose lives become entangled with two men who may not be who they claim to be. After Paddy Swann is pushed in front of a train, his wife Nina and daughter Ash receive an unexpected package from an old friend, Nick Ratcliffe, which brings him closer to Nina. Meanwhile, small-town florist Martha begins to suspect something is wrong with her husband Al, leading their lives toward a shocking collision. Don’t let him in.
Despite the intriguing setup, this book fell flat for me. The shifting storylines and perspectives made it confusing to follow, and despite the promise of suspense, I found that not much actually happened. I usually love Jewell’s books, but this one felt slow and underwhelming, lacking the gripping twists that make her thrillers so compelling.

This is second book by the author and I devoured it! Keeps you on the edge of the seat. I will say that I very much enjoyed Lisa’s writing and the story and the twists. Just the fact that a mother would share her daughter’s darkest history with a stranger was something I couldn’t possibly fathom.. but apart from that what a brilliant book! 4.5 stars
Thank you NetGalley

for this book.
I'm not going to go into too much on what this book is about, as I feel I would give the whole book away. This is a book that needs to be read and enjoyed page by page (although some things will make you pretty angry). I feel you will get a clear look on how single women with not much family, or perhaps women who are vulnerable or dealing with a tragedy or grief can so easily get taken advantage of by men like Al (or whatever his name was). Men like Al find women who are easy prey or perhaps a meal ticket for their own sick world in which they live.
I loved the short chapters in this book (my favorite). And as I mentioned above, Lisa Jewell did her homework on this one about narcissistic/toxic men- and she is spot on! I was teetering between four and five stars with this one, but I decided to bump it up because she nailed it so perfectly!! I also enjoyed the Epilogue at the end. :)
If you are a fan of Lisa Jewell, and love fast-paced books-then I definitely recommend reading this one

Lisa Jewell hit it out if the park with this book. She writes true to her style a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what is coming next. 4 stars.

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up.
was excited to read this after reading other books by the author. I wasn't as connected to the story and was almost mad at the end but overall it was an interesting read. I wanted to keep reading and was curious about where it was going to go.

3.5 Stars! This book was entertaining and enjoyable read but not as fast past as I was expecting. There were not many twists that I didn't see coming, and for a thriller I just want a little more unexpected moments. Still, I would recommend for a quick read while traveling.

LISA JEWELL WHO HURT YOU?!
This book was crazy and magnificent and I had to binge it because I was dying to know how it all wrapped up!
The book centers around a few main characters, Ash and her mother, Nina who are trying to move on after the tragic loss of father and husband, Paddy. Nick, an old friend of Paddy’s who crops up at just the right time. Martha and her husband, Al, who have a baby daughter and a flower shop.
The two storylines begin to intertwine and the mystery begins to unfold of who each the characters are and their true motivations.
Overall, the book is excellent. Incredibly written to keep the reader hooked and wondering how the story will end. The characters are well developed and interesting in their own ways.
My constructive feedback would be that Ash’s mental health breakdown was addressed too late in the book in my opinion. I think addressing it earlier could have led to more of an understanding of the strained relationship with Nina.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Twisted and perfectly played, Don’t Let Him In is a gripping thriller that masterfully builds tension and plot like only Lisa Jewell can. Another five star read!

I was really disappointed in this book. It seemed to miss that Lisa Jewell sparkle and captivating characters. I struggle to find a single twist from this book because anything that could have been perceived as a twist was so painfully obvious. Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite authors but this book just didn’t have the same magic.

Lisa Jewell fans won’t be disappointed.
Ash’s father was murdered a year ago. Then one of her Dad’s old friends connects with Ash’s mom, Nina. There’s just something about Nick that she doesn’t like.
Martha’s husband Al is always disappearing. Work pulls him out of town for days on end and often at a moment’s notice. She’s left alone with their baby girl and her boys from her first marriage. She loves her husband, he’s practically perfect, except for the disappearing.
Having the antagonist’s POV is a unique feature, I didn’t always love being in his head. It’s giving Joe Goldberg, lite on the murder.
This would be a fun book club read !
Thanks to Atria Books and NetGalley for the ARC. Opinions are my own.

THIS WAS UNREAL!! Lisa Jewell has done it again with her most detestable main character yet!! My Instagram page @nelliesreads has my full review but overall 10/10 recommend!

So. I'm a longtime fan of Lisa Jewell. This latest outing...was a struggle for me. I am not a fan of what I call 'domestic thrillers' (is that an official phrase? I have no clue). It took me 67% of the way (I looked at this on my Kindle) to finally get interested in the story. The first 2/3 of the book were very slow and I just hated the main male character and all of the dumb women he conned. The final third was better, with finally some action and resolution. But this still wasn't a favorite.

Lisa Jewell can never write a bad book, I'm convinced. Was this my favorite? No. Was I still up late reading? Yes.
I absolutely loathed the main character of Nick (or any of the names he went by). He was written so well as to make you hate him with a passion. I enjoyed the semi-unreliable narrator of Ash as she worked to figure out what the deal was with Nick before he destroyed her mother's life. The back and forth timelines and multiple POV just made this already enjoyable book hard to put down.

Another great read by Lisa Jewell! I think her books are getting better and better!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an e-ARC of Don't Let Him In by Lisa Jewell!

Every new book that Lisa Jewell puts out just gets better and better. This story is masterfully crafted and kept me on my toes the entire time!
