This was such a fun read! Twists, turns, and plot twists that weren't totally predictable. I will be recommending this to students who love suspense/thriller reads, as well as to my book club group!

Lisa Jewell delivers another gripping mystery/thriller with Don't Let Him In. From start to finish, the story is packed with suspense, keeping the reader on edge as secrets unravel. Jewell masterfully weaves multiple perspectives, creating a layered and immersive narrative that slowly pieces together a chilling truth.
The pacing is excellent, with just the right balance of tension and character development. The characters feel real and flawed, making their decisions and emotions all the more compelling. Jewell’s signature atmospheric storytelling keeps the suspense high, making it impossible to put the book down.
Overall, Don't Let Him In is a fantastic psychological thriller that delivers on mystery, intrigue, and emotional depth. Highly recommend to fans of twisty, immersive reads!

This is one of the best thriller novels I have read. It’s one of those things you can come back to again and again and pick up new details along the way.
This is a very layered story about a man who has interlaced himself into the lives of multiple women. He’s mastered the devious art of lathering them up with words like honey, all to take advantage of them.
Lisa Jewell has done it again, I’ll certainly be picking up more of her novels! This one and None of this is true are easily 5 stars.

Wow, did this book ever suck me in. The story opens with a flower delivery to a mourning family who have recently experienced the unexpected death of their husband and father, Paddy. Described as larger than life, successful restauranteur, beloved by his family, and the life of the party. We follow Ash as she accepts the flower delivery and returns to her family inside the house. We then skip forward a few months, and she is still grieving her father when her mother receives a letter from one of Paddy's old friend's expressing condolences, Nick Radcliffe. Soon her mother and this old friend have become acquainted and are starting a relationship.
Ash thinks this old friend of her father's is too good to be true. She can't place her finger on exactly what is off about him, but she knows that even though he is also a successful wine bar owner that her mother is well off recent widower that could be taken advantage of.
As we follow dual timelines the past fills in the present and you learn just who Nick Radcliffe really is.
It took me about 3 or 4 chapters to start following all of the characters and become invested- and then I couldn't put this book down. The intricate way that Jewell uses time jumps and alternate POVs to fill in what has happened was perfect. Really made me question how many people are actually appearing to be totally functional human beings walking around like this. I have too much to say that include spoilers!

Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell
Thank you @netgalley for an eARC! Releases June 24th!
I have so many mixed emotions about this one. It started off SO confusing . I was completely lost. Jewell did a great job of making you hate the antagonist deeply; however, I felt that not much happened until about half way through the book and I felt a little bored.
The last part of the book was intriguing and exciting, but overall this one would be a “it was okay” rating for me, I love a lot of other Lisa Jewell books so I’m disappointed to say that! I expected to love it much more than I did!

Lisa Jewell is definitely one of my favorite authors. This story was so engaging and I hated the many named man so much I had nightmares about him. My favorite thing about this book is how Ash got all of these women together to finally bring Simon down. Women power! Thank goodness for that Epilogue because I thought he had gotten away with it all!!

4.5 🌟 Lisa Jewell does not disappoint with her thrillers! I was hooked from the first chapter and honestly did not want to put it down. It was gripping, exciting, mysterious, and shocking. It kept me on the edge of my seat, always wanting more, and was such a delight to read!
Don't Let Him In was the perfect thriller for a romance lover like me! The story is told between the present and flashbacks of the past and the reader is given bits and pieces of a man's story that are a bit puzzling at first, but when I pieced them together I was floored! The MMC is known as Nick - oh, and he might have gone by a handful of other names as well!! This silver haired fox is a smooth talker who is extremely charming and handsome. He knows how to make women happy and to convince them to give him anything he wants. His story and how he gets himself entangled in the lives of so many sweet, very smart women is horrifying, eye opening, and just hands down fascinating.
This story was complex, dark, and full of nail biting drama! I loved the characters, the POVs, and the way the story unfolded with pieces of the past being revealed while intertwining with the present. It kept me captivated from start to finish was one of my favorite thrillers to date. I highly recommend picking up this twisty and shocking tale!
Many, many thanks to Atria Books for providing me with a digital ARC copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Solid four star thriller from one of must buy authors. I really enjoyed this one, mostly going in blind, and I wasn’t sure where exactly the story was going to take me. I enjoyed the characters and how all the different timelines came together in the end. My only issue was the ending, it was a bit unrealistic and outlandish and I’m still wrapping my mind around it. But I highly recommend! Another great thriller from Lisa Jewell

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was SO GOOD! I devoured it in one night. I don't want to give anything away. Read it and enjoy!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria for this ARC.

I personally enjoyed this book, it was a fun read but I’m not obsessed with it. It didn’t hit like None of This Is True. Still, I would recommend this. The plot line is intriguing but it was just a lot to process. Maybe I wasn’t in the right state of mind to read it.

This one has so many characters to try and keep track of and the back and forth with past and present time lines that it took awhile to get into the story. I found it very confusing and almost stopped reading. Once the ball starts rolling it is surprising to see what a web of lies one person can do and how much damage they can cause.
Ash has lost her father. Now, her mom is dating Nick and she just doesn't trust him. She starts to dig into his past.
She weaves an intriguing tale which keeps you wondering how it is all going to end. The ending left me with questions ?

I spent the majority of this book so confused and wondering what was going on, and I loved every minute of it. What a great way to start off my reading year. I love a Lisa Jewell book and can always count on hours of fabulous entertainment and I definitely got all of that and more from this one.
It ticked off all of the boxes that make a great psychological suspense for me. Some crazy bad person - check. A great heroine or two - check. One wicked twist - absolutely check! Chaos and mess that makes me want to pull my hair out and chuck the book across the room - check but I don’t recommend actually throwing your Kindle, probably not a good idea.
I highly recommend this book to lovers of all of those things. This was a great read and I enjoyed every moment.
Thanks to Netgalley for a chance to read and review this arc

Always delivering a thrilling ride, Lisa Jewell has done it again. This kept me on the edge of my seat. I love a book where you cant quite figure out the ending and are always getting deeper and deeper into the tangled web of shock and suspense.
Without a doubt this will be a must read for suspense bookies and those new to the suspense genre.

🩵𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚢...Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite authors! 🥇I mean I am obsessed with how she can write a thriller. 🎤This book just happens to be publishing on my birthday 🎉 this year & one of the main characters is named Ash 🙋♀️so what a gift, right?!? 🎁 Even better that I got to read early so thank you @atriabooks @lisajewelluk
✿What is always flawless in a Jewell thriller is how she can deliver such a bang🔥so seamlessly👌…This one man(think Dirty John vibes) who is involved in these women’s lives is such a shit, but what’s even scarier is he is so real! 😳This thriller is the most believable one yet. I love how the pages almost flip themselves. 🤓🤓Oh & this book does feel a bit different than her others so maybe just go in knowing that & you will love it too! 🩵🤩

This book really took me by surprise. It felt so different from some of the other books I have read by the author. While some things still clearly felt the same and the writing style was what I expected… this book almost felt more like a drama/mystery than a thriller. That’s not to say that I did not enjoy it. It was very easy to read and kept me engaged the whole time. I had a good time! It was definitely different than I expected it to be though.
3.75 stars!

I want to thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this story!
This book time jumps and bounces from different people’s pov’s. One thing I would suggest at the beginning of the chapter if there’s a time jump it’s noted but I feel like it should also say who’s pov the chapter is about because there are a lot and it got confusing at points.
Nick is reaching out to an old friend’s family after he passed to reminisce and send his condolences. He gets close to Paddy’s widow Nina and develops a relationship to the point where they start dating. But Nina’s daughter feels things are very suspicious and starts investigating who Nick really is. Al is Martha’s husband, she’s a thriving florist but Al is always going away on business and can’t be reached while she’s juggling her business and children. Martha, Nina and many others find themselves being taken advantage of, money stolen, stalked, some have even lost their lives over this man who weaves so many lies and identities.

I was really excited for this one but unfortunately it just missed the mark. I thought it would be a bit more of a psychological thriller and while it wasn’t, the suspense and story definitely hit.
One thing I couldn’t get past was the alternating POVs. I just found it to be a bit too much. I liked the story but around 50% of the way I found it harder to figure out what was happening when and with who. The short chapters were great and J loved the writing style, I just wish there had been one less POV.
Thank you Netgalley and Atria for this ARC!

Lisa Jewell’s Don’t Let Him In is a masterclass in psychological suspense. Twisty, thrilling, and oddly touching, it delivers relentless tension while crafting a villain so wicked yet strangely sympathetic. The vindication is satisfying, the emotions unexpected. Jewell once again proves her genius at blurring the lines between horror and humanity.

3 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outlier alert!!
I don’t really like being on outlier island, but here I am. After reading and loving None of This is True, maybe my expectations were too high - I mean it’s Lisa Jewell after all - but this was just ok for me.
If you are expecting a psychological thriller, this is not it. However, I did like the suspense and I LOVE to hate despicable, revolting characters! The short chapters are always a plus for me and I liked the ending.
The main thing I didn’t like about this book - the alternating POVs - something I usually love. It was confusing at first, but once I was able to keep up with them I was bored. I grew tired of waiting for something to be revealed. I guess it was too much of a slow build up for me.
There are tons of glowing reviews for this one, so maybe it just was wasn’t the right book for me at that time.
I do enjoy Lisa Jewell’s books and I’m looking forward to the next one!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for my advanced copy to read and review.
