I found Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell to be an engaging thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. Having enjoyed all of Lisa Jewell's previous works, I was excited to dive into this one. While it might not be my absolute favorite of hers, it was still a strong and satisfying read. One thing I really appreciate about Jewell's writing is how real her characters feel; their motivations are well-developed and believable, which isn’t always the case in thrillers. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of her books.

Oh my word! What in the world did I just read?! I have read all of Lisa Jewell’s books and by far, this is the best one yet. Tons of characters for you to dislike (or even like should the twisted and manipulative characters are your thing!) A tale that’s woven through many years and many devastated women’s lives.
A man so smooth that you don’t see him coming. Unless, you do - do you believe his stories, your fears, looking through lenses of your own lying eyes?
This is one I would not miss! 4 and a 1/2 big bright stars on this exciting read!
Thank you, as always, to Lisa Jewell’s creative genius and suspense weaving, breath taking tales, the publisher and of course NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for a fair and impartial review.

As a big fan of Lisa Jewell's books I have to say this one fell a bit short. The back and forth timelines and multiple POVs is nothing new and I appreciate short, quick chapters but I ended up feeling icky and needing a break. Maybe that was the intention though—to make the reader feel. In that case, job well done. I felt such annoyance towards the "him" in the title and it got worse and worse to the point where I needed a break after each of his chapters!
While the concept was relatively new to me—I have not read a story quite like this before—the character development fell a little flat. The first half of the book was almost misleading and then when we learn so much about the characters in the second half I felt like they were totally new people! That said, I still love Lisa Jewell and would read her future books.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC!

Lisa Jewell writes incredible thrillers and this one does NOT disappoint!
The book starts off with the death of Paddy, which leads into a decades old mystery. There are two storylines between Nina and Martha that merge in an exciting, twisty way. The cast of characters (main and minor) create a great, suspenseful, ensign that I didn’t predict!

I think my students will find this book very interesting, some unfortunately have had experiences with toxic romantic relationships, though not as bad as the ones in the book and with destructive narcissistic parents. There could be some interesting and fruitful discussions about some of the issues brought up in the book. And of course, the mystery will be an added point of interest for them. I could see this being made as a movie

I enjoyed this psychological thriller, a tale of three woman and the men in two of their lives who is too good to be true or he is. This is a slower moving book with lots of parts to unwind, some of which i figured out and some i didn't but the build up and the resolution is what made it worth it. It is also a look in the psyche of a man who is very damaged and destructive and entitled. As always with this author, there is a subtle depth. Also strong woman who were root for. 4.5

A great twisty read, that I wasn't sure was going to actually be a mystery. I thought I was reading about a guy who was just a jerk. I had no idea where the writer was going and was totally pleased with the ending. I am going to ask that my library's mystery book club read it after it comes out. They will enjoy it, and it will make for great discussions. Lots of things to think about involving women and men.

This story is crazy, and scary because it leaves you questioning if this could happen in real life. I mean what do you do when everything you thought you knew about your significant other turns out to be a lie? Lisa Jewell did it again, I couldn’t put this one down, I just had to know what was going to happen next. This book had me questioning every character and every detail as the story progressed. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller.

WOW. I’ve become quite a fan of Lisa Jewell and I literally gasped when I saw the approval for this ARC. I needed a good thriller to read and what I got was a story that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish; I could not put this down and finished it in less than 24 hours. Grieving mother Nina and her daughter Ash, are still healing when a mysterious man turns up to provide comfort in their time of need. While Nina welcomes the kind stranger, something just doesn’t sit right with Ash and she’ll stop at lighting to figure out this guy. Meanwhile, Martha is happily married but her husband seems to disappear quite frequently and she is nearing her wits end. As these dual storylines continue, you meet (imo) such a despicable man - I truly loathed this guy. Without going into detail I’m sure you’ll agree, Lisa sure does know how to write these characters with such depth and backstory. There are many WTF moments and scenes that will make you ask “why?!” Check this one out for a fun and fast paced thriller. I really enjoyed this one and I’m even going to say this may be my favorite from her!
Definitely pick this one up when it’s out 6/4 and it’s available to pre order now.
Thank you to NetGalley, Atria Books and Lisa Jewell for providing me this gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this twisty thriller! Something so simple about falling in love with the wrong man yet terrifyingly real. How many people do you really know?

4.5 stars that I have rounded up because when I wasnt reading I was wondering what would happen next.
Don't Let Him in a tense jaw dropping read with nasty characters that you love to snarl at and those you love to cheer on.
The story is told from multiple POV's and Lisa Jewell has mastered this very well.
There are many victims in this book : all women who are vulnerable and the main antagonist knows just how to play them.
Luckily we have one suspicious daughter who thinks something is just not right about her Mum's new Prince Charming.
Twists and turns you wont see coming and an ending that is perfect.
I have said too much already so I will leave the rest up to the reader.
CLear your schedule and be ready for this roller coaster of a ride.
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the privilege of reading and reviewing Don't Let Him In.

So good! Another well done book by Lisa Jewell. A lot of timelines and POVs, and they could be a bit confusing.

This book was quite different than other Lisa Jewell books. It hopped around and I had a hard time keeping track of what was happening as well as character names.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
A group of amazing women get taken in by the same conman. Diabolical.

Another well written book by Lisa Jewell! This book is a hard one to put down.
The book starts off by jumping right into drama. A death leaves a mother and daughter heartbroken . Along comes prince charming. The book follows a few women and their relationships. Is everything as it seems? I did not expect that ending at all.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to review. This is the story of a con man who seems to find the most unintelligent, gullible women in the UK and continues to pull the same scam over and over again. Their stories became repetitive until I lost interest. I stuck around until the end in the hopes that there was karma. I had to suspend disbelief for the final reveal.

I love Lisa Jewell. None of This is True is probably my favorite of hers, and it was a 5-star read for me, so I was really looking forward to this one. I appreciate the ARC from Netgalley...but this one just didn't land for me.
The beginning hooked me...but then, it was just the same sad story over different timelines and from different perspectives, but really all the same. It was very predictable, a "setting up franchises" type of story. It's funny, because there was a note to the reader at the beginning which told us that in this book we'd think we knew the characters, but we'd be wrong. Nope. I was right. All the way through. Never surprised, not even when I think I was supposed to be.
For me, it was groundhog-day-esque. I would have been glad if it ended way before it did, and normally I just want more more more!

This book was great. Three women connected in a crazy thriller. Lots of twists, I keep it at 4 stars since I found it predictable which I don't like but very good book nonetheless.

Ash’s father, Paddy, died under suspicious circumstances. Soon after, her mother connects with a former associate of her father’s, a handsome older man named Nick. Nick makes Ash uncomfortable- it seems that he becomes very involved in their lives so quickly. She also doesn’t believe anything he says about his life, including why he disappears so often and for so long. She decides to investigate and finds that Nick is not who he seems to be and she was right to be concerned. At the same time, Martha thinks she's married to the perfect guy - handsome, loving, a good father - but he keeps leaving her alone for long stretches at a time. She starts to believe that Al is cheating on her and keeping secrets. Could these two women's situations be linked? It didn't have as many twists as None of This is True, but the story had me hooked.

This book kept me intrigued the entire time I was reading it. While there were some threads I could connect early on, there were enough moving pieces to keep me guessing.
