I am a huge fan of Lisa Jewell and was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of the book! The book was told in alternating voices. Ash is suspicious of a mysterious man that enters her mother’s life just a year after her dad dies. Another character wonders where her husband is leaving for long periods at a time. It was a bit slow to start, but once the connections began forming, it was hard to put down! The ending was very satisfying.

**A Riveting and Twisty Thriller**
Lisa Jewell’s *Don’t Let Him In* is a masterclass in suspense and psychological intrigue. With three women bound by one enigmatic man, the story weaves an intricate web of secrets, lies, and unraveling truths.
Jewell’s signature storytelling keeps readers hooked as the layers of deception slowly peel away, leading to a shocking and unforgettable conclusion. The characters are compelling, and the tension builds with every chapter, making this a gripping page-turner from start to finish.
Fans of twisty thrillers won’t want to miss this dark and captivating read!

Overall - 5/5. Thanks to NetGalley for this AMAZING ARC. This is the best thriller I’ve read in a few months and the first 5 star of the year (and on my birthday). I’m in utter shock with what I read - but like the good type of shock that’s amazement. I seriously didn’t want this book to end - it reminded me of some of the crazy Netflix series I’ve read about people living double lives.
Lisa Jewell has outdone herself again - I don’t know how this woman creates these plots in her brain but they are so detailed and full of webbed subplots. She rides the perfect line in most of her books of being insane thrillers - without getting overly complicated. Go preorder and add this book to your TBR - it should be out in July 2025

Wow, this book had me in a chokehold from start to finish. There were twists and turns that had me questioning everything many times. The internal dialogue of the MMC was so well-written and oh so disturbing. He was a true narcissist and sociopath. As unrealistic as parts felt, the writing was so gripping, visceral, and shocking that I couldn't help but want to read more. This was my first book by Lisa Jewell, and I want to read more. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

I cannot express just how much I hated this one. Lisa is usually at the top of my list. Most have been hits, some misses, but never one I loathed like this one. Sorry Lisa. I was just not a fan.

What did I just read!!! Amazing!
This was my first book from Lisa Jewell and it did not disappoint!
This book will leave you on the edge of your seat, it’s very deranged, and it was fantastic (in a weird way I guess haha).
A well known restauranteur, Paddy, was pushed in front of a train and the Swann family is mourning. One day Nina (the widow) received a gift from a friend of Paddy’s and soon after, Nina started to date him.
But who is this Nick!? Why does his timing seem on point with the passing of Paddy’s? Is this legit love or is something deeper going on?
Ash (Nina’s daughter) keeps thinking something feels wrong about him and starts to dig around.
The chapters are short in general and are divided in different time line (past and present). His side of the story is in his point of view which gets us to experience how he thinks, his next moves etc. It gets frustrating!! His mind is so dark but yet he has the audacity of thinking he’s the best person ever. Definitely sociopath behaviour.
I don’t want to reveal more but it’s so so good. It’s also hard to read as I said above the characters are good to make you feel emotions. Good or bad.
What will happen to Nina and Ash? Is Nick actually a good guy!?
I 100% recommend this book!!!!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Lisa Jewells, Don't Let Him In is a fantastic read that I could not put down! The timeline can be a bit hard to follow at first, but it gets easier as you read and each character gets introduced.

Don't Let Him In may be Lisa Jewell's best book yet!! This was a roller coaster rider from start to finish. Told in three different POV's, this is the story of a man who manipulates the women in his life. Martha, a loving wife to her husband is one of the voices and she is a strong, independent woman who is blindsided by her husband and his betrayal. Ash is dealing with the loss of her father and the new man in her mother's life that just seems to rub her the wrong way. Nick is a character I won't soon forget. This was a hard to put down book and I really enjoyed turning the pages and finding myself shocked again and again. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Lisa Jewell’s Don’t Let Him In is a compelling psychological thriller that intertwines the lives of three women connected by one enigmatic man. The shifting perspectives create a kaleidoscopic narrative, building suspense as secrets unravel and the tension escalates toward a chilling conclusion.
Jewell’s character development is sharp, each of the women's stories keep the reader engaged, though some twists feel predictable for seasoned thriller readers. Despite this, the atmospheric writing and dark revelations make it a gripping read.
Perfect for fans of domestic thrillers, Don’t Let Him In delivers intrigue, emotional depth, and a haunting reminder that appearances can be deceiving.

So so good!! I could not put this book down and the twists kept me locked in! Loved every second of it.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC!

Another great book from Lisa Jewell! I loved all the twists and turns and unexpected moments. It was a little hard to keep track of timelines, but I loved the characters and flashbacks.

This novel is about a man and his relationship with three different women. Nina Swann has just lost her husband Paddy in a tragic accident and she and her daughter Ash are still reeling from this loss. When a package arrives in the mail from an old friend of her husband named Nick, Nina is touched and begins a correspondence and then a relationship with him. But Ash is not as enchanted and has a bad feeling about this new man in her mother’s life. Meanwhile, Martha owns a flower shop in town and is struggling to balance her business, her new baby and her husband’ Al’s absences while he’s away on business trips. And why does it seem they have no money when they are both working so hard? Nick and Al seem to both have dark pasts and many secrets that they are hiding from the women in their lives. And are these two men somehow connected? Both Nina and Martha have there suspicions but it is Ash who steps in to investigate and is shocked at what she finds. This was a twisty thriller that I really enjoyed. Lisa Jewell never disappoints.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for a copy of this book it was really good and I would rate it 3/5 stars!

I didn’t hate Don't Let Him In, but it’s far from my favourite. The first half of the book was slow, and I struggled to stay engaged. However, the second half picked up the pace and captured my attention, making me want to keep reading.
One of my main issues was that the female characters felt too similar to one another, which made it harder to connect with them individually. Additionally, the ending felt rushed and left me unsatisfied. While the story was well-written, it didn’t deliver on its promise of being a thriller. Instead, it felt more like a general fiction story.
The timeline was another challenge for me. The frequent shifts in tenses and timelines made the narrative confusing. Sometimes, it took me an entire chapter to figure out what was happening, and during the first half, I often felt like I was missing something. I even considered starting over to piece things together better.
Ultimately, this book missed the mark for me. As a huge Lisa Jewell fan, I know she’s capable of much better, so I’ll definitely continue reading her work. This one just didn’t meet my expectations.
Sending a huge thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, this one had me hooked from page one! Could’ve read it in one sitting but, life!
This is a twisty tale of lies, manipulation, and survival, featuring a cast of complex women and one seriously disturbed man. Think psychological thriller meets emotional rollercoaster. The way it explores narcissism and its ripple effects? Somewhere in the world... this could’ve happened! I was so mad at some points—but in the best way, because it’s that well-written.
If you’re into dark, layered mysteries that keep you guessing, this is a must-read!
I hope my IRL friends read it—I need to talk about this one:
• Which character’s perspective did y’all find the most compelling or relatable?
• The ending—did it work for you?
• This book is built on lies and manipulation. Were there any moments where a reveal completely threw you for a loop?

I'm not really sure what happened with this book! I hate to fully discredit it, which is why I'm solidly at 3 stars, but this isn't the Lisa Jewell we are used to. First of all, I'd 100% not call this a mystery in any way. It is definitely a thriller of sorts, though it doesn't move very quickly, which is probably my biggest criticism of the novel. The "gimmick" here is clever at first, but it doesn't take long to catch on to what is happening and what is going to continue to happen...and then the novel goes on and on for hundreds of pages. There really wasn't any suspense or big question about how things were going to play out, and I wasn't anywhere close to being on the edge of my seat like I typically am with a Lisa Jewell book.
As I've seen in other reviews, the MC in this novel is absolutely a horrible person, and I did think that he was a very complex and interesting character. In that sense, I'll give Jewell loads of credit, because this seemed to be deeper characterization than normal from her. But I also just kind of want to know what inspired this book/character because it is all so dark and unsettling. There were also a few plot points -- one in particular -- that either didn't wrap up very neatly or were really kind of a last-ditch effort to be shocking and simply didn't work for me.
It feels like Jewell wanted to try something a bit different with this novel; however, unfortunately, I don't think it was a success. Here's hoping she gets her groove back with whatever comes next.

This was a good book about a man that was many characters. The author did a great. job going back and forth between them. The twist at the end wasn't a huge wow factor, but it doesn't take away from the story. I will definitely recommend and read more by this author.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!!!
I have to be honesty, I was disappointed with this book. Way too many characters that all had dull personalities and a crazy back and forth timeline. From the very start of the book, it was extremely predictable, and it didn’t get any better.
I’ve heard good things about this author so I will give her books another chance, but unfortunately this book just did not do it for me.

Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite thriller authors because she consistently writes an enthralling book and her latest is no exception!
While this book felt less like a typical thriller with few twists and turns, I felt captivated for the entirety and didn’t want to put it down. I loved the short chapters and different POV as well as alternating timelines. All these elements make me want to keep reading. I ended up finishing it in about 24 hours! This one definitely felt a little more based in reality than a lot of thrillers and I liked that aspect of it.
I felt the ending was a bit lackluster but overall this book was one you will want to pick up if you enjoyed Lisa Jewell’s other books.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc

Ash (20-something daughter) is grieving the tragic loss of her father. In addition to her grief, she’s grappling with a recent “mental health crisis” that shifted people’s perspective of her. Ash’s mom starts dating a man who Ash has a bad feeling about. But who’s going to believe Ash, the unreliable narrator? Elsewhere we learn about Martha, a married but effectively solo-parenting mom and business owner, who is juggling all her responsibilities and becoming increasingly frustrated with her husband’s disappearing antics. The book takes us through several POVs including that of Ash, Martha, and a (or some) male character(s).
The start of the book was a bit slow and kind of overwhelming (so many characters and seemingly separate/unrelated events), until it connects about ⅓ of the way through. Once that happened, I was HOOKED. Just when I thought the evil people couldn’t get worse, I was proved wrong. It’s hard to say more without giving away any spoilers. So I’ll keep it at this:
This kept getting more and more INSANE and you don’t know how quickly I was breezing through these digital pages on my kindle, it was such a page turner! I especially loved how certain characters (especially the women) came together, no questions asked, to help each other after being deceived and having all the reason to mistrust others. There was one thing that didn’t fully make sense at the end, but the epilogue twist provided a satisfying ending.
If you like domestic thrillers and page turners, this is a must read. I’ve read several Lisa Jewell books and this is BY FAR the best one I’ve read!
