Another cute story in this series! This was a good one in the series, but again not very cozy, in fact more high stakes than the others. There are some fun moments and I do enjoy some good puns!

The concept begs to be cute and cozy, but it’s plotting the demise of royalty is not something that feels right in the realm of this genre. I think I would enjoy this series so much more if it were just marketed as a fun fantasy.

The audiobook was incredible and the narrator does a great job at bringing everything to life. Her delivery was well done for many jokes and nuances of the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review!

Tea You at the Altar is the third book in the Tomes and Tea series and one of my most anticipated books of 2025. I am so thankful for an early review copy of the audiobook, narrated by Jessica Threet. Once again, Rebecca Thorne has told a fantasy story that is somehow both exciting and cozy at the same time. We get to spend more time with our favorite characters from the first two books as well as meet two fun new characters. We also get fun scenes with some precious baby dragons. I loved Tea You at the Altar and cannot wait for Alchemy and a Cup of Tea later this year.

I absolutely love this series! "Tea you at the altar" is a wonderful continuation of "Teas and Tomes"

Ah! A cliff hanger?! When does book 4 come out?!

I was so excited to get the audio arc for this. I love this series. I love that every book introduces a new romance. They all flow and build. Characters from past books show back up. Characters are varied in their sexual identities and preferences. Its a cozy, punny good time.

Sometimes I need to not have a high body count of the fallen at the end of every book. So thank you Rebecca Thorne for that! "Tea You at the Altar" continues the story of Kian the and Reyna, this time their wedding. I'm sure nothing makes int complicated. Out 4 March 2025.

Getting married seems kind of hectic. Especially when you have estranged family showing up, dragons causing a ruckus, pirates, and a coup to throw. All before getting to the food too. But Queen Tilaine has got to go, becoming even further unhinged she assumes this union will give her control over a certain mage and bring magic back to her realm. Which is just looney, so coup time.

Narrated by Jessica Threet, just sounds like you had a lot of fun narrating this one.

Reasons to read:
-Hey some theological questioning that is productive and could result in cooler gods
-Been waiting for bad things to happen to them since being introduced to them
-New characters
-Returning characters for a united front
-Was just talking about that gift the other day and here it is in a book

Cons:
-Maybe a little stabbing would solve some problems?

THANK YOU NETGALLEY AND MACMILLAN AUDIO FOR THIS ALC OF UTTER PERFECTION.

Jessica Threet is a spectacular story teller. She’s amazing. I love her!

This third installment in the Tea and Tomes series is absolutely divine (not a word I use lightly!). Reyna and Kianthe are my favorite couple. Their banter is amazing. I fell so hard for baby dragon Pillbug. Come on, how do you not fall for a baby dragon? I want to be in this world IRL so bad.

Another fun and adorable installment in the Tomes and Tea series! Raena and Kianthe’s wedding is coming up, and they’ve got something extra special planned – a coup to overthrow the Queen! This is a sweet and cozy tale, but as usual in this series, there’s enough else going on to keep it from being sickeningly sweet. Rebecca Thorne is great at hitting that balance. There are plenty of warm fuzzy feelings, but also political intrigue! There’s difficult family relationships, but also baby dragons! There’s soul searching and grappling with religion, but there’s also lots and lots of found family goodness! There were a couple of things I had a hard time suspending disbelief for, but they were fairly minor, and overall I really enjoyed the novel. I listened to the audiobook, and Jessica Threet’s narration is excellent as ever. 4.5 stars.

As much as I enjoy these characters, the cozy town of Tawney, and especially the baby dragons, this installment in the series fell flat for me. There's chaotic wedding planning that turns into revolution planning, but it took me awhile to get invested and I'm honestly not sure I would've finished if I hadn't gotten the audiobook too. Jessica Threet keeps it light and did accents to highlight the dialogue, so that was a treat and definitely the way I'd recommend reading it.

TEA YOU at THE ALTAR by Rebecca Thorne

Kianthe and Reyna are an adorable couple! They are ready to walk down the aisle. Of course though, nothing ever goes as planned. No matter how much planning you try to do. I can’t get over the baby dragons, so cute! I absolutely love Reyna and Kianthe together! No matter what tough things they face, they always have each other backs!

I think Jessica did a great job as the narrator. She has a nice voice.

I loved the story. It was still the perfect amount of crazy and fantasy! These books just keep getting better and better! I definitely recommend reading the books in order! I can’t wait for the next one.

Thank you so much NetGalley, Rebecca and Macmillan audio for E-ALC!

My absolute favorite book in this series so far! Book 1 I feel for the characters and they kept me coming back but this one brings the plot!

i truly do love how these books are cozy fantasy with slightly higher stakes than most and i must admit i got teary eyes at my little lesbians getting married and the new family :’) but was that ending necessary!!! the last two were such nice books you could read alone and feel satisfied, and this one ends on such a dramatic cliffhanger that it genuinely threw me off listening to it. enough to knock an entire star off which is so disappointing bc i love this book and series so much but come ON rebecca i need my gal pals safe. however i did finish this 11 hour audiobook in 5 hours so clearly i loved it

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Tor for the Audio ARC!.

Jessica Threet is among the best narrators out there in my opinion, phenomenal job! No one could bring these characters to life better.

Rebecca Thorne does it again with another amazing and cozy addition to Key and Rain's story! The action was packed and the tea was hot, but I still left feeling like I had received a warm hug....well....mostly - I need book 4, that cliffhanger will be the death of me!

I seriously can't say enough about how much I love these characters and the unique and fun adventures they end up going on. This series has it all - pirates, romance, dragons, griffons, magic, alchemy, royals, espionage, swordplay, near-death experiences, tea, BOOKS!....it's the perfect combination of all things fantasy and escapism.

If you're a fan of fantasy, especially cozy fantasy, pick up this series now. It's worth the time!!

Best book in the series so far. It was a perfect combo of cozy without loosing out on plot. Three books in the main characters are still changing and developing in such a way that only makes me love them more. AND THE DRAGONS!!! Love love love!
