A very simple message but well done. The book celebrates all the things that make us unique and tells the reader why these things make them who they are, and how much they are loved. An uplifting read!

Thank you to netgalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with this early copy in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this so much. I can't even explain how wonderful it is to see so much inclusion in the photos. As a mother to a deaf child, we love to see disability inclusion in children's stories. Thank you so much for the wonderful read.

This was a heartwarming and uplifting book that encourages kids to embrace their differences and celebrate what makes them unique! Every child should read this story to be reminded of just how special they truly are.

Before I launch into my review, I would like to say a warm thank you to Heather Avis, Zonderkidz-Books, and Netgalley for the Advanced Digital Reader Copy of this title. For anyone with their eye on this title, here is my personal review of the book to help you decide whether you are interested or not. All opinions offered are my own.

This is a beautiful reminder to children about how special and unique they are. It’s a book that will be appreciated by the parents that often arm their children with affirmations about themselves.

I really love how this book didn’t just settle on telling the children in the book that they were loved but it emphasized across each page reasons why that love for them was there, i.e., their stunning face, the way they feel when their breath is in sync, and they are leaning against a friend, their thoughtfulness and their brain. It encourages the reader (and listener) to appreciate themselves and each other for all the beauty someone possesses, outside and in.

I would recommend this book for carers that don’t know where to start with building up a child with affirmations, or for carers that are struggling to explain to children why people are different but that they too can be special despite auto immune diseases, birthmarks, visual disabilities, or a general inability to win first place.

I felt the book was ambitious aiming for an audience between four and eight years of age because the pictures are really young. The pages were overstimulating with their bright colors. I am more inclined to read this to children between the age of 0 and six years of age, but this is a personal preference.

I can see this book on nursery and infant school shelves, at the childminder’s home, and in play centers. It makes for an ideal book to read at story time at the library or whether else there is a large and diverse crowd of children.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc
This is a beautiful story that tells children how special and unique they are --- even if they are perceived to be "different" than their peers. As an adult living with a disability, I think this is a highly important message that should be taught to able bodied children and disabled children alike. I also enjoyed the fun and eye catching illustrations in this book. I highly recommend this book for any child.

Coming from a parent of a neurodiverse child I found this book so endearing. I love how inclusive the book purposefully set out to be. I would love to see something like this included in many classroom libraries.

The illustrations were so vibrant and catching. I know my children will love paging through over and over again.

This is a very cute book and an extremely important message - I think it’s both helpful for children to hear it but also parents to say it (and I think this helps). The illustrations are also beautiful!

There could be (and let's face it, probably are) a million different children's books focused on the idea of loving someone for exactly who they are -- and I'll still want to read every single one of them.

This one especially is a gem. Alongside vibrant, inclusive illustrations, this reads like a genuine love letter from a parent/grown-up to the cherished kiddo in their life, telling them just how amazing, brilliant, and loved they are. It's a perfect way to instill some self-love early, and a perfect addition to any child's library.
