This was a unique Christmas story, it had that horror element that I was looking for and enjoyed getting into this book. The characters were everything that I was expecting and thought the feel worked with them. S.C. Mendes and Nikki Noir was able to weave a strong story and characters. I'm glad I got to read this and am excited for more.
"Santaphilia is not as uncommon as you may think"
Santa's package follows our protagonist Amber as she finds herself pregnant after a dream where she has sex with Santa Claus.
Santa's package is not your typical holiday story. What starts as cheeky and smutty turns mysterious, creepy and foreboding.
The story takes the reader on a journey where you are never 100% sure what is real and what is a figment of Amber's imagination. Unfortunately, the negative experiences Amber has the medical system are very true to life which is kinda depressing.
This story is incredibly bizarre and unfortunately for me it misses the mark. The sci-fi elements of the story also don't quite meet expectations.
Thank you to NetGalley and blood bound books for providing an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Absolutely ridiculous, in the best way possible! First read of 2025 and I’m definitely down for whatever reads this sets the tone for this year! This was sexy, horrific, and engaging!
When I first picked up this book, I expected it to be primarily a horror tale. However, the first half of the story delivers a healthy amount of smut, which transitions into a chilling horror finish in the latter half. This unique structure kept things interesting from start to finish.
Aside from a few minor typos, Santa’s Package is a well-written and thoroughly engaging read. The sex are handled skillfully, avoiding the pitfalls of overly cheesy or repetitive language that can sometimes detract from this genre.
This story left me intrigued about the other stories in the Petite Mort collection. If this book is any indication of the quality and creativity of the series, I’ll definitely be diving into more. Fans of erotica and horror blends will find a lot to enjoy here.
Rating: 4/5 stars.
I want to thank NetGalley and Blood Bound Books for sending me a free advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I have been dying to read something by Nikki Noir, and I was freekin stoked to get an arc of Santa’s Package.
I have read and loved S.C. Mendez in the past so that was also a draw to this particular novella.
Now, this story was freekin weird in the best way. I had no clue really what I was getting myself into, but I loved it. Short sweet and bizarre. I couldn’t really ask for anything more.
I can see why Nikki has the cult following she does. Call me a new fan.
Lol, what did I just read!?! I should have read the synopsis before getting this title. Maybe I would not have clutched my pearls until they broke! Lol... I was not expecting any of what I got... Santa fetishism, alien experiments, alien babies...WHAT!?
It was a fun and SPICY novella.
Thank you, Netgalley, S.C Mendes and Nikki Noir for the ARC copy of Santa's Package and allowing me to voluntarily leave my honest opinion.
Thanks net galley for letting me read and review this little book. When I first started I had to jump back to the description as I thought it was smut and I was looking for something a bit darker… well then the darkness took over. It’s another WTF book but written in a way where you have to read it in one sitting.
Santa's Package revolves around Amber and her Santa fetish. But when she becomes pregnant after a particularly exciting dream featuring jolly old Nick, nobody else seems to notice her growing baby bump. Can she find out what's going on before it's too late?
"You're special. And I need you very much. Listen to what I say and when the time is right, I'll bring your reward. One Christmas, when you're older..."
This book was quite fun! From the Santa puns and erotica, to the bizarre events that follow, I was along for this wild ride. The mystery was well done, as I was pretty much guessing what was going on up until the very end. I also appreciate the way Amber's interactions with the medical system were framed. It felt very real to life.
I listened to the audiobook for this while reading along with the e-book version. Overall I found the narration pretty well done, and it added an extra layer to the story. At times I did feel the narrator made Amber sound more irritated when I thought playful would have been a more appropriate tone, but that might have just been my interpretation of the text.

Santa's Package might be for you if you are in the mood for a somewhat silly, somewhat sexy, and definitely bizarre short story that will keep your attention all the way through.
This was freaking weird. Amber has a Santa fetish ever since he visited her in her dreams. She has tried to find partners that will accommodate her desires, but it’s not working. Finally, Santa visits her again for an encounter of an adult nature. A few months later, Amber is pregnant but all pregnancy tests are negative and no one else can see her baby bump. Ufology, doctors, and more Santa visits follow.
Crazy short story but fun. It was nothing like I expected in any way.
Thank you to Blood Bound Books and NetGalley for a copy of this story.
Nice and short christmas read.
Found the pacing a little odd, understand that it is a short Christmas novella, but found the beginning very fast paced and then middle-end I found a bit repetitive. Still an enjoyable and odd read.
This started off quite promising but quickly dissolved into something really weird, sadly not in a good way!
Thank you, S. C. Mendes, Nikki Noir, and NetGalley for the ARC. I leave this review voluntarily and happily. Also, thank you publishers for your hard work!
Wow, this was such a fast read, and i wish there was more. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. I was sad when it was finished but all books have to end. The dark atmosphere and just the not knowing in this book will have you turning the page. The very beginning, there are some erotica things and more in the middle, but don't let that put you off. That's not what this book is all about. But as you continue to get into the story, it just continues to get stranger and stranger. You can only guess at what is happening to Amber. No one seems to be able to give her answers, and you will want to know what's going to happen to her.
A girl in love with Santa Claus. Is it wrong? Maybe if what you want comes knocking and gives you what you're asking for. But did he really give her what she wanted, or is it something worse? No one believes Amber when she tells them she's pregnant. No one but her can seem to see what's happening to her. What is happening to her? Read and find out.
This book was about wild ride start to finish and I didn't put this book down till the very end. I wasn't expecting anything this book threw at me, and I believe a lot of people will enjoy it besides the fact i wish there was more.
