This was a fun but pretty much low stakes mystery. I think anyone who just wants to revisit Molly and the cast will enjoy this. The book is split between two narratives. We have Molly's current timeline and the mystery with a valuable possession of hers. The other narrative is a diary that Gran wrote as she was in the last stages of her illness and she's chronicling her life story. It was interesting to learn more about Gran's history and how it ties into the current events in the book but ultimately the mystery only takes up about 30% of the book. A quick read but not as much of a mystery as I was hoping for compared to the previous books.

I love a good Molly the maid book. I really enjoyed this one. The plot was interesting and I liked that it had a bit of mystery in it along with the letters from her grandma.

I am not sure if this is the last of Molly, but I certainly hope not! I absolutely loved this one as much as the previous books. Molly has found herself in another unpredictable pickle but always finds her way through. This story is told in past & present tense, which made it so much more special. The Maid’s Secret was such a happy and feel-good story mixed with Prose’s usual mystery/ whodunnit theme. I absolutely adore this MC and will forever love this series!
Thank you so much NetGalley, Random House Publishing/Ballantine for an ARC of this one 🫶🏻

I received an advanced copy from the publisher [Ballantine Books] in exchange for an honest review.
—> Molly the Maid has me hooked. She is simple, concise, and endearing. I love how Nita Prose ties the series together, while building onto the story. And with that, I recommend reading in order and absolutely reading the recently published novella - The Mistletoe Mystery- before starting this one.🤵🏻♀️

I believe that this is the best in the Maid series! I usually don't like series and recurring characters, but Molly the Maid is so loveable and the story is so interesting, that I couldn't put it down!

this is a just okay book....... It is the exact same book as the other thriller housemaid books out there right now. This is maybe the fourth or fifth one. They all end up the same, same themes, etc. Not a big fan, it is overdone
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the third book in the Molly the Maid series. Molly Gray’s life is about to changed in ways she could never imagine. The Hidden Treasures show is taping at the elegant Regency Grand Hotel and Molly might have an actual treasure on her hands!
Nita Prose has done it again! I find this series to be so comforting and heartwarming and this time was no exception! 🥹
I love all the relationships in this book and all of the characters! And I loved learning more about Molly’s grandmother and the telling of her story through diary entries. The dual POV paced the story beautifully and had me hooked from the start!!
I highly recommend running to pick this book, hunkering down on the couch (with a tissue for your issue 😉) and spend the day reading this gem!

We're back with Molly the Maid and her fiance Juan Manuel as they prepare for there upcoming wedding which readers have been eagerly anticipating since the last book. But before the big day, they find out that their lives may be about to change. A popular TV show, similar to Antiques Road Show, had come to shoot and episode at the Regency Grand, and Molly decides to have some of her grandmother's trinkets appraised. Little does she know that one of them is not exactly what she thought it was. Things spiral from there, and soon she finds herself at the center of yet another mystery. With her characteristic charm and wit, Molly will try to make sense of things while simultaneously preparing for one of the most important days of her life, her wedding. Interspersed with entries from her gran's diary, this is a not-to-be-missed book in this series. I actually think it might be my favorite so far, and I hope there will be more to come.

This series is one of my favorites! Easy to read, keeps you entertained & guessing. The first book is my favorite of the series, but I have liked all 3.

I adore Molly and had high hopes for this book. We are given two storylines, one with Molly in real time and one that gives her Grandmother's life story in the form of letters. The concept was interesting and relative to the story, but I wished there was more of Molly. I felt a little underwhelmed with the predictive ending of the book. I will still continue to read this series, if additional books are released.

Oh, how I love Molly the Maid – all her books have been soooo cute! Love the innocence in her way of thinking and now even more of the love story of Gran. Thank you for the ARC Net Galley #TheMaidsSecret #NitaProse #NetGalley

Thoughts - Thank you Netgalley, Random House Ballantine, and Nita Prose for this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion. This book was a wild emotional ride for me and I absolutely loved it! I'm a huge fan of the Molly the Maid series, and this third installment was probably my second favorite book after the original. This book in particular was amazing because of Molly's Gran's backstory. It tugged on my heartstrings to hear the origins of her family and how it tied into the hunt for the missing faberge egg. Prose does an incredible job of tying the past with the present and creating such a wholesome book. I look forward to reading more books by Nita Prose!

4 solid stars for "The Maid's Secret" which seems to be the end of Molly the Maid's journey (sigh). In this one the reader learns a LOT about Molly's Gran, Flora through her diary and fans will find a lot of backstory filled in. Plus Molly & Juan are in wedding planning mode and there is a heist of a Faberge egg after an antique show at the hotel. Still charm & quirky - I enjoyed it a lot. Many thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for my advance readers copy - a true pleasure to have read all these stories!!

Molly Gray is back. This time the hotel is setting up for a special showing of the TV show Hidden Treasures. Molly finds herself in the spotlight when an item she brings for appraisal turns out to be worth millions of dollars. This story alternates with diary entries from Gran, which explain how she became a maid when she was born into a wealthy family. It ties the whole series up with a bow, but I found the actual mystery itself a little lackluster.

This book exceeded expectations and was very exciting to read. I really hope the series continues because I cannot wait to see what Molly will be up to next. The characters were written thoughtfully and with intention which is what makes the story as enjoyable as it is. Learning about gran’s past was very interesting. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book.

This was not my favorite of the Maid series, but it was fun to see gran's backstory (even if some of it was eyebrow raising). Ms. Prose delivers another fun romp with familiar and beloved characters. It's a good read.

Okay, I LOVED this book! This is hands down my favorite in the series so far. It felt different from the first two books, but in the best way possible. The mix of mystery, family secrets, and Molly just being Molly made this such a standout read.
One of my favorite parts? Gran’s backstory. We get to see her life unfold through letters she wrote to Molly, and wow… about emotional! Those letters had me tearing up! The relationship shared between Molly and her Gran was so reminiscent of mine and my grandma’s. I was really close with my Nanny before she passed away a few years ago, and their bond brought back so many memories for me. It made this book even more special.
I also loved learning more about Mr. Preston and how much of an impact he had on Molly’s life (way more than she ever realized). And, of course, there’s Molly’s present-day storyline. Between wedding planning and the case of the missing Fabergé egg, she somehow finds herself at the center of yet another mystery. I loved how everything tied together, and the character growth for Molly in this one was so well done.

I do love Molly the Maid, but this one was not my favorite. It took me a long time to read it because the parts told by her Gran's diary made my second-hand embarrassment go wild. Let's just say she acted like a stupid, rich girl even though she was super smart. Molly is still Molly through an art hsist and 15 minutes of fame.

definitely my least fav molly the maid, but that's very much a me thing. there's a LOT about gran in this story, in fact around half, and it's essentially a historical romance, which i feel doesn't quite work interlocked with the main molly story, but still good. 3.5, rounded up. tysm for the arc.

Always a joy to read, the Molly the Maid books are delightful and laugh aloud funny. This one has the expected mystery along with several light twists and turns. A true pleasure is finally understanding Gran’s life story that is interwoven through the book.
