I enjoyed following the mysteries surrounding Molly the Maid's grandmother's backstory in the third book in this series and as usual Gran is full of wisdom and love. She is such an endearing character!
The audiobook is wonderfully done and makes for a cozy listening experience.
There is no coarse language and the possible triggers are dealt with in a very gentle manner.
Highly recommend!
Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers and Nita Prose for giving me the chance to read it in exchange for my honest thoughts. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely LOVE Molly the Maid and each of the these books! In this one, Molly takes some of Gran's trinkets to be appraised by a traveling TV show "Hidden Treasures" and one item appraises for millions of dollars. Of course, it wouldn't be a "Maid" book without mystery! This book was unique in that it shifted back/forth between timelines (past/present) and POVs (the past timeline with Gran as a little girl POV and present with Molly's POV). I really enjoyed it and hope we have another "Maid" book coming! Molly is such a delight!! A solid 4+ star read for me! *I received a complimentary ARC from the author/publishing company via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Molly Gray aka Molly the Maid is back! Head maid and now also Special Events Manager, Molly, is continuing on in her little adventure called life. While preparing to marry the love of her life, she finds out her “pretty little eggs” is worth millions. This sequel is a little different than the others. You get to see a peak into the life of Gran and I couldn’t have been more happier.
I really enjoyed the book even though it was a bit different than the other two. I felt like it was what the readers needed. We hear all the time about Gran and all her witty little sayings. It was nice to get to know the woman behind them.
Overall I feel it was a great way to end the trilogy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for giving me the opportunity to read an advance copy in exchange for a honest review.

This is a series and a book that you don’t want to miss.
I have enjoyed every single one of these novels and more so the audiobook versions of Molly and her life as a maid. I knew I was not going to be let down with this one either.
I loved the dual timeline of Molly and thru her Gran’s journal and although this book was less thriller than the other 2 novels and more of a cozy mystery it was everything I wanted and more. I seriously adore Molly and her not so neurotypical ways and her love with Juan Manuel. Honestly, I’d be happy if this was how the series ended was on this book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose
This is the third installment to the Molly The Maid series. I absolutely adore Molly, the head maid, who the story is centered around. She is a neuro-divergent character who takes things quite literally, and tells things quite like they are. Her thoughts and sentiments are such a breath of fresh air. She often says things I wish I could say! And in the way I would love to be able to say them!
This installment of Molly the Maid centers around the theft of her beloved Faberge egg. We get alternating chapters between Molly’s point of view through her current dilemma, and diary entries addressed to Molly from her beloved “very dead” Gran, filling her in about her life as a young girl and teenager in love. At first, the diary stories were dragging the book down, offering a little bit of too much information. But as Gran got further into her story, it picked up, and when you could start to connect the dots with Molly’s current situation, it got much better. Molly and Juan Manuel hit it out of the park again. They have such a beautiful and honest love.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this title for review.

A cute installment to the series that hit all the marks I’ve come to expect. Charming and whimsical with a cozy whodunnit woven in, The Maid’s Secret continues the charm of the first book while adding some new dimensions. I especially enjoyed the addition of letters and journal entries, which added a refreshing layer to the narrative and gave us a deeper look into Gran’s backstory.
Some readers have commented that Molly takes a bit of a backseat this time around, but I actually appreciated the shift. In the first book, her neurodivergence was sometimes so heavily emphasized it felt a little overdone. Here, she still felt true to character, but in a more balanced way that let the plot and supporting characters shine too.
Overall, it’s another delightful entry in the series—gentle, clever, and warm, just as it should be.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose is the third full length novel about Molly, a maid at the Regency Grand Hotel. In this installment, Molly takes one of her Gran’s precious treasures to be appraised when a traveling antiques show visits her hotel. During the show Molly finds out her treasure is actually a long lost artifact that could be worth millions. What entails includes theft, mystery and a lot of family history.
Nita Prose has done an excellent job with this latest Molly the Maid book. I loved getting the opportunity to learn more about her Gran’s background which also sheds light on Molly and other secondary characters. Highly recommend!

Molly the Maid is back! I love her. She’s a funny (unintentionally), charming and lovable character. I think this is my favorite Molly Gray book. In it we learn so much about Gran’s past and her love story. So many holes were filled in from previous books. I couldn’t put it down as I was eager to learn about the Gray’s family secrets.
If you want a light, cozy, touching, fun mystery then this is the one for you. But make sure you read the other two books and the novella before so you can see how beautifully everything ties in. All four books are quick reads.
I’ve read in some reviews that this is the last book in the series and while it does make sense with how everything concluded I hope it isn’t true. I love reading about Molly the Maid and her hijinks!
4.5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Thank you to NetGalley, Nita Prose and Ballantine Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Maid's Secret is the third book in Nita Prose's Molly the Maid series. Molly is preparing for two major events in her life, her marriage to Juan Manuel and a tv taping at the hotel. The Regency Grand Hotel is hosting a famous antiques show and the employees have been invited to participate. Molly gathers items to be appraised and is shocked to find one of her grandmother's items happens to be a treasure worth more than Molly could imagine. On the day of the auction Molly's item goes missing. The history of the object is likely tied to why it is stolen as much as its monetary value.
This was easily my favorite book out of the series so far. I loved getting to know more about Molly and her Gran's history. By following Gran's diary we learn her full backstory including her true love and multiple tragedies. The mystery itself was fairly interesting and had some good twists. The best part of the book was getting to experience the marriage of Molly and Juan Manuel, it was so sweet and touching. I'm not sure if this will be the last book but if it is what a wonderful place to land. I will be watching to see what Nita Prose does next!
Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a wonderful series! I love Molly and all her quirky sayings. In this book, Molly takes some treasures to be evaluated at a tv show filming at her hotel. In addition to learning that one of her treasures is actually worth millions, she learns it is wrought with secrets.. In reading Gran’s diary, she is able to put all the pieces together. A heist and a wedding! Loved it

Polished to perfection! That’s how Nita Prose ends one of the most enchanting book series I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.
I fell in love with Molly Gray from the first page of book one. She is quirky in the most endearing way. Devoted to her job, a steadfast friend, and shockingly honest; Molly doesn’t always pick up on subtle clues. That is a big part of her charm. Nita Prose has always surrounded Molly with an eclectic supporting cast and they are, once again, front and center in this latest book.
A MAID’S SECRET contains the trademark mystery requiring Molly’s sleuthing skills. This time it’s personal! Molly and company set out to solve a crime involving the theft of one of Molly’s prized possessions which might just make her wealthy beyond her wildest dreams.
Part of this book is devoted to solving the crime du jour. The rest is the telling of Gran’s story through her diary and letters she wrote to her beloved Molly. Gran has been keeping a secret or two and Molly is about to learn all about Gran’s early life. Along the way, Gran continues to dole out her particular kind of life advice.
I could not think of a more perfect way to wrap up this series. Molly the Maid is an iconic fictional character who is easy to love. Prose has imbued her with warmth, wit, and wisdom. It’s no wonder I found the tears flowing at the end of her story. This is not goodbye to Molly as she will live in my heart forever.

Molly the Maid is back to solve another mystery; this time, she's fully caught up in it, putting her life at risk. Hidden Treasures, the beloved antiques show, is taping at the Regency Grand Hotel. As part of the staff, Molly and Juan Manuel are invited to bring items to be appraised. Molly brings some of her Gran's trinkets - a teacup, an old key, and a bedazzled egg they lovingly call the Faberge. Naturally, none of this is worth anything and is just for a bit of fun, right? Wrong. When Molly's goods are appraised, the Faberge lives up to its name - it's real and is worth millions. With Molly and Juan Manuel's wedding quickly approaching, this would be life-changing money. However, soon after Molly decides to auction off the egg, strange things start to happen. Most concerning, the egg has disappeared, moments after being sold for an exorbitant amount of money. To solve this mystery, Molly needs to use another heirloom - the old key that unlocks her Gran's diary. Everything about the egg - and her Gran's secret life before becoming a maid - is contained within these pages. By digging into the past, Molly may be able to save herself and her precious antique. Time is of the essence, and Molly is becoming increasingly concerned.
I was a little let down by this. I felt that the mystery part of the story wasn't entirely necessary (but then again, it wouldn't have been a Molly the Maid story without it). But, I loved the glimpse into her Gran's past and learning more about the Gray family. Presenting her past in a diary form broke up the mystery nicely! However, the actual mystery portions were slow at times and somewhat easy to figure out. Overall, this is a nice "finale" to the series! A lot of loose ends get tied up, and we get to see Molly in a good spot at the end. If you've read the rest of The Maid series, please read this one to tie everything together! And if you haven't read this series yet, please do! They are all very quick and easy reads with a heartwarming backstory. Although this one didn't live up to the previous books, I still highly enjoyed it!

Molly, the Maid is back and this time she is on the cusp of a life changer!
Thanks Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC!

When the reality TV show Hidden Treasures is being shot at the hotel, Molly brings a shoe box containing her Gran’s old trinkets to be appraised by the hosts and one among them is apparently a rare artefact and could be worth millions. Molly is an instant rags-to-riches social media superstar and is all set to auction off her invaluable asset. The only problem is on auction day, the trinket just disappears! Who could be behind this? Can it all be connected to her Gran’s history? Molly is about to learn her Gran’s past thanks to an old diary she’s left behind.
Review -
What a pleasure it was to hang out with Molly. Isn’t she the simplest, most honest, sincere, adorable and unassuming person ever? It was lovely to see how much Molly had grown as a person, taking charge of her life via sheer handwork, discipline and dedication she has towards her job.
What’s more, we are in for an even more treat as we get introduced to her roots via her Gran, Flora’s narrative between the present timeline’s chapters.
I truly appreciated hearing from Flora herself - for her voice is unimaginably suffused with the age old wisdom, practical yet profound - as she pours out her life experiences right from the time when she was a little girl all the way until she becomes a young woman, making impossible choices when the only world and lifestyle she’s ever known turned upside down. It was heart stirring as she lays bare her naivety, mistakes, the teenage haughtiness and the lessons life invariably taught her soon after. There is so much to reflect, unpack and learn from her.
While Molly’s wedding bells are on the horizon, the priceless treasure she owns becomes an insurmountable hurdle. I loved diving into the world of historical artefacts - how fascinating it was to know about the whole process of appraisal, ownership determination and auctioning. The reality TV spin on this was refreshing and eases the slightly tedious boredom the past timeline might be inducing at times.
The mystery angle around the vanished artefact unravels a web of hidden secrets and connections from the past - the suspense and momentum sustained throughout. The author explores the rags-to-riches media mayhem, the effects of sudden public spotlight on a simpleton like Molly, who prefers to be invisible, the dangers that shadow wealth and most importantly how true love ultimately triumphs.
I can’t believe this is the final instalment to the series. I’d definitely love to read more!

HUGE thank you to Random House for the gifted book!
Oh, Molly Molly Molly, how I adore you!
This one felt slightly different from the other books, but I enjoyed it nonetheless! A large part of the book was told in letters from gran to Molly, which was a fun way to mix things up! I really enjoyed learning so much about Molly's grandma and her INTENSE past; it really made me appreciate her even more.
I also LOVE Juan Manuel, Molly's fiancé and was happy that we had so much more time with them, especially watching them plan their wedding!
While I enjoyed them all, here's my order of favorites:
Book 2: The Mystery Guest
Book 1: The Maid
Book 3: The Maid's Secret
Christmas Novella: The Mistletoe Mystery
I'm sad this series is over, but excited to see what Nita Prose will write next!

I have absolutely fallen in love with this series. Nita Prose continues to provide a gorgeously layered mystery wrapped in heart, wit, and the unforgettable charm of Molly the Maid. Stepping back into Molly's world was a treat as nothing is evert quite as it seems and where kindness, integrity, and keen observation are the keys to unlocking the truth. I thoroughly enjoyed the switching perspectives of Molly's world and the life Molly's Gran described in her journal. The Maid's Secret was more warm and sentimental than the other books in the series because we were able to see where Molly gets her little sayings from. This stand out above the rest and I am 100% confident that this has been my favorite read. It gave me a warm hug, kept me on my toes in suspense, and made me tear up a little all in one. Nita, you absolutely smashed it out of the park. I hope there are more stories from Molly in the future, but if this is the last book, it was a stunning ending.
I highly recommend this series and this book for fans of smart, character-driven mysteries with heart and a sense of coziness.

The third installment of the Molly the Maid series has a little different style to it than the earlier books. In this story, Molly and Juan Manuel are preparing for their upcoming wedding- so exciting! The Regency Grand is also hosting a popular tv antique appraisal show and the staff may bring items to be appraised prior to the tv show and guests portion of the day. Molly brings some treasures from her beloved Gran, and her life is immediately changed, and not necessarily for the better.
The chapters alternate between Molly and the goings ons with the tv show and diary entries from Gran that explain all the missing parts of Molly’s and Gran’s lives. I really enjoyed learning all of the back story that we haven’t heard before.
Of course, the regular characters are still at the Regency, which brings a familiar quality to Molly’s latest adventure.
Can’t wait for what happens next with Molly and Juan Manuel!
Thank you to Random House books and NetGalley for this advianced copy. This review is my own opinion. 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4.

Molly the Maid is back and becoming a media sensation in the latest installment of the series. Weeks before Molly and Juan Manuel's wedding, the popular hit TV show, Hidden Treasures, films an episode at The Regency Grand. All of the employees bring in family heirlooms to be appraised by art experts. During a live filming, one of Molly's items from Gran is appraised for millions! But the excitement turns sinister when an art heist takes place during the item's auction, and Molly's existence is threatened. Who would want to hurt Molly, and do this to her? Detective Stark is back on the case, and Molly finds the key to unlock the secrets in Gran's diary. Flora Gray's tale of love and loss alternates with Molly trying to solve the stolen Faberge Egg. Molly learns much about her grandmother and herself. Will it be enough to save her?

Thoughts: If you’ve been a fan of Molly in the previous books, I think you will enjoy this one, too! Molly’s endearing quirkiness is once again so lovely, and this installment also gives some fascinating insight into Gran’s life. I enjoyed the dual timelines, and the mystery aspect is cozy yet suspenseful. The ending is a satisfying conclusion to this delightful series.

I just adore Molly and I loved getting to know Flora's story in this book. Like the other two, this has strong mystery elements and heartfelt romance woven throughout, which makes it a highly engaging and fun read.
While I loved learning more about Flora and Mr. Preston's origins, to me, this story was really centered on love - all kinds - and its power to persevere. I thought Prose handled it beautifully.
I read this book in one sitting on a flight and it was the perfect plane read.

I really hope this is the last book in the "Molly the Maid" series. The first book was so good, and I loved how it ended on a darker note, but two more books and a novella, the series has definitely pushed towards lighter mysteries that you can solve in five minutes. My main issue with this last book is that the sections that focused on Gram/Flora were overly long and just boring. Also, I know this is supposed to take place in the 60s, but everything read as if it was taking place 20 years or more earlier at times. Especially with the way that the servants were to be treated and how they were supposed to treat their betters. It just read like Downton Abbey to me after a while.
"The Maid's Secret" is really following Gram/Flora as the maid in question this time. Molly is engaged to Juan and though they don't have a lot of money, they are looking forward to starting their lives together as man and wife. Things tick along at the Regency Grand Hotel, however, a popular show that she and Juan loves will be showcasing an episode at the Regency Grand (think Antique Roadshow) and Molly grabs some things to show, including the "egg" that she doesn't think could be worth much. However, Molly is shocked when she is brought on stage and told that her egg is worth millions. The book shifts POVs from Molly in the present day and to her Gram/Flora in the past which leads into how the egg is connected to her as well.
I will say this, the book is at times confusing, things line up enough when you get through the end of this and then it shifts to events/people from book #2 that we already know about. Gram/Flora's diary entries to Molly just read weird at times. I think it would have worked better if it was written like a true diary, instead Prose writes it as a book in essence. No one who is doing diary entries is going to write exactly like this. Maybe it would have worked more for me if it had been written with that in mind. And I get that Gram/Flora was writing this when she was much older/sicker, but still, it just read weird to me.
And I already said what I said about her family, the servants, etc., the whole thing just read off to me throughout. As I said, maybe if the book was set 20-30 years back some of her families and others attitudes would have made sense to me. For example, there was the 1967 Abortion Act, Housewives Register in 1960, etc. There is mention of music (the Beatles) and of new fashion, but it seems to have passed Flora's whole family by which again, didn't make a lot of sense since it was everywhere. Who in that time would say I won't allow my daughter to study and pursue something outside of marriage?
Molly's section were kind of blah honestly. It was really easy to see who was doing what and the "culprit" in this one, but I just got tired of how Molly "talks" in this one. I was just over her also not again understanding basic things. At this point she's in her 30s and I felt tired. The usual antics by Cheryl were also just grating in this one.
The ending of the book wasn't a shocker at all, I think that this may be the last book in the series. If it's not, I hope that we do not keep hearing about Gram's past.
