Interesting story about a family and crew surviving a shipwreck and spending 14 months on an island in the pacific. Information was given about the different people and the events before, during and after the wreck and the rescue. Narrator was easy to listen to.

I love a good maritime horror. With a story as harrowing as that of the Wandering Minstrel, an author could get a lot of leeway at the sentence structure. Pearl doesn't need it. He knows exactly how to convey this riveting story with appropriate suspense and skill, and at the end of it, I'd say no words were wasted. The prose is tidy, and the story speaks for itself.
This book will be an easy sell for library customers who enjoyed The Wager, Night Ship, or Madhouse at the end of the Earth.
