Real perspective of life with a shelter dog. The antics and craziness. The training involved and the chaos of life with a dog that perhaps no one else wanted, but the dog chose you! Loved the honesty and perspective. Narration by the author was a plus!

This memoir about family and adopted rescue dogs sounded cute and I am a HUGE fan of The book thief written by this author but for some reason I just couldn't get into it. I think having the author narrate the book (which I usually love) might have been a mistake? He spoke rather fast and it just wasn't a story that grabbed me unfortunately.
